  1. I still think Tommy Wright is the obvious choice. Given our current position and a team with no confidence, you need someone to come in and take control of the situation and I can’t think of anyone else who could do that just now. Might not be pretty but right now I don’t think hiring a young manager or someone with no experience of the Scottish game would be a good move, in fact could be the final nail in the coffin for us.

  2. This forum is so negative! We were put out by a side with a 40,000 seater stadium who can sign players from Porto. We more than held our own for over 60 minutes and with a bit of luck could have scored which would have made it a very different tie.

Also all this roadmap pish, in case you forgot we are in the middle of a pandemic and can’t have fans in the stadiums, I think Motherwell and most clubs worldwide are just thinking about basic survival right now.

End of the day we got a decent wee run in Europe that will have netted the club a wad of cash.

Spare a thought for clubs not in our position who without fans could easily go to the wall. There are far bigger issues out there right now than how we spend £4 million like it’s fucking football manager time!

Taxi for Robinson/Lapsley for me, have we improved in the last year.....a very simple answer is a big NO, we are going to do a Hearts this season where everyone thought that Hearts would easily would climb the league last season.

i will give them that they have had some injuries mostly in training as Hearts had last season, but the players that we are left with, I am sorry they are NOT performing as a team. The games that I have watched ok they had a lot of possession but without creating any genuine goal chances. Against Celtic it looked embarrassing for Scottish football to see it was supposed to be a competitive game when one side never got into first gear beat us easily.

I hope I am proven wrong but I think we are definitely relegation material and think it’s time to look for new ideas from a new management team!

I would agree that 1 win in the last 14 or so games is terrible, but I just don’t know who you could get in that is more experienced and better than what we have. Also it’s important to remember the players respect the current manager.

personally I think we will turn it around. This season we have lost games narrowly while dominating, I think once our strikers click we will be fine.

would also be good to get Jake Carrol back as he add the much needed balance we need and since he got injured our form has dropped.

its still early days so I’m not worried too much, but another 5 - 6 games and we still haven’t got points on the table then it’s decision time.

  4. What’s the situation with the update on playing staff? We were told this would be announced last week and since then silence...

I don’t expect too many going out. I think they key word here is consolidation. Keep the bulk of the current squad and maybe tie up Watt and O’Hara on longer term deals.

Maybe guys like Mazinga, Ilic and Mugabi will go and find other clubs. Surprised of the talk that Hartley is away as I think him and Declan is a great partnership, but maybe he want a new challenge.

With no real indication of when fans may be back in stadiums then it is key that the club hold onto as much of that prize money as possible just now. Cash is king.

A real chance for some more youngsters to get first team games as I doubt we will be going out and signing loads this summer.

This could go on for a while though. Apparently 70% of the population will get it at some point but governments are willing to go into near lockdown when less than 0.1% of people have it.

It seems like madness to me. Surely it would be better for vunerable people to isolate and everyone else to get on with it.

I think it’s more serious than you think. The mortality rate in Italy is an eye opener.

this is about prevention and even if you have   a 1% mortality rate that could mean millions of deaths worldwide.

swine flu in 2009 infected 61 million and killed 600,000.

  6. 10 points ahead of Killie in 7th and 15 points left to play for before the split. We have to think there will noT be enough of a swing for us to drop into 7th, so it’s just a case of trying to hang in there and then maybe once in the split we can still be in the hunt.

As another poster said all the other teams are inconsistent and will take points of each other.

The hope is that Turnbull coming back might inject some life into the team.

I’m worried about Robinson though as he has the feel of an manager running out of ideas and there is a hint of desperation about what he is doing at the moment.

the reason i said burrows should explain is coz he is our leader and very gd on social media. i was not being critical off him but i wouldnt expect accies leader to explain to us.  there are loads if well fans not going due to i think cost so why shouldnt he try and get us same deal as we give them?

Because Accies are run by crooks.

They didn’t “lose” one million quid, it’s in an off shore account in Bermuda.
