Livi. Contrary to most, I reckon it's only soulless because it's empty most of the time. I think for a packed night game under floodlights it would be a crackin wee ground.
  4. Mark McGhee isnt stupid enough to hold out for the Celtic job. Im sure he's well aware that rightly or wrongly, they will be looking WAYY above his stature.

  8. Alan, My name's Alan too. Alan.
  9. At Fir Park, judging Corcoran to be offside when he was about 15 yards on. I know it went in our favour, but its still the most ridiculous decision i've ever seen.

I think we should be able to almost disregard his injuries for the most part. If you're breaking down in training or in matches, or if you have a recurring problem then yeah...fair enough, but If some dirty big c**t comes in and snaps your leg in half...that's not being injury prone. In fact on the contrary, the speed of which he has always seemed to rehabilitate would suggest that he is anything but.

    In's And Out's

Exactly. I'd expect the maximum amount we could afford to pay for a player is vastly different from the maximum amount we were willing to pay for those particular players.

Im the opposite...I love badges in the middle!
  15. Bear in mind though that it's not just the card count that is used to determine the UEFA fair play place. Theres loads of other disciplinary things that are taken into consideration. Respect towards referees and opponents, positive play, fouls, crowd behavior and behaviour of club officials are all taken into account.

Yeah I agree, I think it's been a great idea. Maybe a little bit too drawn out as Haggis said, 4 consecutive Mondays at noon, coinciding with it going on sale at the time of the last one would have been ideal, but this is the first time anything has been tried other than plonking two peely-wally players in the middle of a pitch wearing prototypes that are 3 sizes too big for them. The fact that it's been a bit irregular and infrequent kinda takes the excitement away a little, but it's a huge step in the right direction as far as the club having any kind of professional style advertising campaign.

No he doesny, cos he's got St. Mirren beating Inverness, and Inverness beating St. Mirren. And Hamilton and Inverness not playing each other at all. Plus Killie not playing Falkirk or Inverness.
  19. Nae chance, he'd have to shoot first!
  20. Bear in mind the reduced capacity though. Almost all of Falkirks home support are season ticket holders, so a drop in prices only really affects the visiting support to any great degree.
  21. I agree completely with Melvin, the only way you can find out if young guys can cut it, is by giving them playing time. And lets face it the days of 18 and 19 year olds not being ready are long gone...most teams/clubs have guys these ages who have been playing first team footy for a couple of seasons. I do also agree with the guys that are against wholesale changes though, I think a good way to find out what the younger guys can do is maybe for one game, bring a couple of young strikers in and play them with the first team, then next game, give a young guy a game next to Hughes etc. We already know the youngsters can play alongside each other, so bringing a bunch of them in at the same time isn't gonna tell us much that we dont already know from reserve/U19 games. Bring a couple of them in per game so that we can find out if they can slot into our first team.
  22. If he stays because he only wants to be here - Ideal. If he stays because no-one else comes in for him - fine by me. Like a lot of others, some of the things he comes out with rub me up the wrong way, but its just a fraction of the amount that he rubs fans of other clubs up the wrong way, and thats perfect. When you get a man as outspoken as Mark McGhee, you arent going to like or agree with everything he says, but personally as long as the bulk of it is from the point of view of being behind us and talking us up, thats fine. It's a long way from the days of managers publicly stating that we weren't good enough, and listing the things that we couldnt do. Sure maybe some of it is a bit over ambitious at times, but I very much subscribe to the "us against the world" mentality, and McGhees comments, even the ones I dont agree with, always seem to come from that stance, so thats spot on for me.
  23. True....but I also remember stickin with it and going to Hampden 3 out of the following 4 seasons
