I think Murphy has shown some great flashes of his talent which if hibs allow him a bit of space like they did Ayr utd for their goal then I can see a 3-0 motherwell. Hopefully will have brought a player or two in by then which would lift the dressing room. We must keep Murphy he is vital if we are to make the top six this season. if he goes has to be for a load of cash at one of those wonga APR's so much so that we could bring in 3/4 quality players in order to make top six. I just can't see that happening. Reynolds has given us some cash so we can be bullish in the face of those looking to buy our players. Hopefully use it wisely. I like the idea also of getting the youngsters some game time in preparation for the next season and use our first team when it matter in the cup's. McCall will be the motivator flinger of tea cups with craig etc using his experience to assist with tactic especially in europe How much mccall will be a name to attract a loanee I don't know but he certainly has played for a number of clubs so would hope he has a number of connections to attract the next messi. For that matter if we do go down the route of a english manager Lietch might be a good number 2 for the short term as he is familiar with the players. May not be down to what wages he gets but down to the budget he has to spend on players. Still feel that was one of the reasons judas brown left. Would like to see what Sbraga could do, particularly as he is the scout for sunderland, must have his eye on a few players that would be good for us. Would also have to rely on selling a few player such as reynolds who I understand is eager to leave and keep a hold of Blackman who as top scorer is vital. This would surely put a question to anyone offered the job. Can I keep a hold of these players who have helped make it a successfull season so far, or do I lose them, be unable to replace them due to the budget, and ultimately lose my job, reputation etc. Could see hartson as a coaching role but fear that our budget won't stretch that far. Not really aware of hanlon but surely the compensation would eat into the budget we have for players. Oh and when I say budget for players I mean having money to keep the current squad.

Totally agree. The revolver of the usual managers would just continue. Thats what i thought was good about gannon and brown getting the job. Seemed to be thinking outside the box. Thought I saw the other night that phil brown former Hull manager was interested in the Aberdeen job. Worth a shout? That being said, I would love to see Craig Brown getting us to europe. One advantage to us if he does go would be a chance to have nox and a young hungry coach come in.

If blackman goes back to blackburn in Jan and we lose Gow then we are in trouble for strikers surely (only really leaving Murphy and Sutton)? Before there is a move surely we have to get the actual league sorted out. that way we can identify cash sources and plan accordingly. Will the old firm move will it be 12,16,18 teams etc. No point in building a new stadia if only 3000 will turn up on average. As far as the travel goes buses should be put on by the club for a fee more money and there should be facilities at the stadia for a bevie and food again run by the club. Get folk in and maximise as much revenue as we can.

Gow gives a bit of experience and some versatility as far as roles and positions go. Can't see him up front though but is another body in a small squad. That being said, 6 month contract isn't good. We only win if he turns out to be gash but in saying that we would have paid him for 6 months and wonder how loyal he will be if he is a success. Would he leave us for Aberdeen. Will need to see what he is like on the pitch and if he can make his mark in the left hand side of mid then excellent. Time will tell.

If you are serious about getting us floating supporters back then you have to make it a worthwhile experience for reasonable amount of money. Take the increase in numbers on Thursday. Where was the incentive to come back. Free flag for yer kid, money off the next game? My first football match ever was when Celtic played Motherwell at parkhead. Not someone who would fill me with joy. Couldn't see Gow as being anything more than a squad player. Would rather see a out and out creative player as opposed to a Str/mid option. If we are playing 4-2-3-1 then murphy blackman casa sutton McHugh would all be playing for one or two positions can't see all 5 playing in this formation. in Humphrey, forbes, fitz hately jennings etc the midfield is filled.
