Thought Forbes, slane and saunders did well tonight. Sutton looked more mobile. O'brien put in a shift. craigen was solid though our defence had problems with the set pieces (when not). I think Stepover was a great player am worried though that he has done nothing for the past season. If this is to be a loan is it not just stunting the growth of our own youngsters. If it is a purchase then as the other poster said would be two expensive left backs though I accept both could play left midfield. Jennings looks like a defensive midfield guy with potential captain material, though it is only a one year deal. Forbes and Sloan look like they have the potential to go further from the reports I have read. O'brien is already here on what I would expect to be decent wages. While Step is the man I worry that we would be getting a player back stunting the youth. Putting out a well paid player and in the long run getting a player back who is another year older and another year slower. If we are to play one up with three behind then we need folk with pace to support the striker. Is this stepovers forte? would hamell a defender/mid be able to support the striker in an attacking role? Don't get me wrong think Stepover is a cracking player just think this is the wrong time to bring him back. Happy to be wrong.

on the BBC quoting Daily mail that Andy Webster is to be released by rangers. Rumours are that Falkirk and dundee utd are interested. Surely we should consider him as well? Think craigen is a guy who is solid and despite what was said in the papers is a decent player. He adds experience and appears to have a place in his heart for the well (see his interview about taking training on BBC) The young lads I havn't really seen so will reserve judgement. Fitz I know devides opinions but I think he is still learning his trade and will be a good player given time to develop. Lasley I think is a cracking player though he was critisised for his performance the other night. He will be one of the most experienced players that we have and I can see him relishing that role. Reynolds still learning but a good player non the less. He just needs a bit of confidence and again teams will be coming in with 1 million plus bids. oh and pies I like pies.....

Can see Gannon playing the same side actually with the same formation( has limited options). Fear though that we need a bit more creativity in midfield to break through the massed ranks of our opposition. Need to pass the ball quicker as well and get it to sutton and develop the play with folk running past him. Lets see what we can do with a full weeks trainig under our belts under gannon and see if the players have adapted to his system.
