Cadden replacement? That was my thought as I watched the clip.

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

I’d be surprised if we haven’t offered him a very good offer for what we can afford but he will get better offers from other bigger clubs willing to take a chance on him which I think he will be advised to take.

    If he’s still here
  5. Three weeks before we resume football I thought I’d start this chat. With 12 games to the split and - by my reckoning- requiring between 15 & 17 points to avoid the play off spot, can it be done before the split or how much of a squeaky bum time will it be post split? Games pre split are Hibs - H Dundee - A Livi - H StM- A Hearts -H Celtic - A Killie - A Hamilton - H Hibs - A StJ - H Dons - A Rangers - H personally I believe there are at least 5 winnable games but knowing us I can see us losing games we should win but pick up a couple of surprising points along the way so all in all 12 to 14 points leaving us a couple of points short by the split and squeaky bum time until we crawl over the line.

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

That didn’t work out for Robbie Leitch - a player I thought would go on to better things. He lasted 1 year at Burnley before ending up in Croatia via StMirren & Queens Park.

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

I’m assuming that we would need to offer him a new contract by a certain date to receive compensation, as I believe the reason we missed out on anything for Robbie Lietch was due to not offering him one on time. Anyone able to confirm this?
  9. Interestingly Livingstone didn’t play today for the reserved. Anyone know if he’s injured or being rested to be on the bench for Wednesday night?
  10. Horrible game & weather but I stayed the night in Inverness and had s great time in Foxies - journey back home next day wasn’t good due to my hangover. Great start today let’s keep it up

Robinson... How Do We Think He's Doing ?

Their budget seems to me to be focused on buying experienced players that they get a low return on for transfers -with one or two exceptions ie Steve May- which is ok if you have a continual sponsorship income from a firm owned by your club owner but we don’t have that luxury and need to gamble on younger inexperienced players who we hope to develop and sell on to keep us in the league.

    2018’19 Game 16:Hearts (A) Saturday 8th December 2018

No chance he will be allowed to play against his parent club but agree he put in a decent shift last night.

    2018’19 Game 15:Celtic (H) Wednesday 5th December 2018

Last night I thought it wasn’t a penalty but on highlights it was. Nothing wrong with their second either - just a wee tug and a bit of 50/50 - but the defender didn’t dive to the ground to cheat the referee unlike what Celtic players have done in the past. Very happy with the result.

McHugh but I have to say there weren’t a lot of players who were in the running

    The Well Society

I know there is already a thread concerning the well society but given todays apparent attempts to sell players and the following two posts on the in/outs thread, I thought I'd start a new thread – Mods please feel free to merge this if you wish. "The Society simply has to work, we need to make it work cos frankly we have no other option. There are no buyers out there as already said, certainly none to be trusted, so it's up to us and no-one else. Do we want to effectively own our club or not? I'll struggle but I'll find the money to do my bit in keeping the club out of the hands of some fly by night in the future, if there are any out there." "A know it's off on a tangent, but does anyone know how many have signed up to the Well society so far? Someone on FPC said it was 100 afew days ago, which is a wee bit worrying." Both of these statements are 100% correct from what I've heard. My understanding of things is that if the society fails to reach its target the club will indeed be put up for sale. It's my belief that todays attempts to move players on were made in an attempt to give the society time to work I understand that by the end of march at the latest, they need to get either approx £300000 in the bank or have enough people signed up and paying that amount by instalments to cover the running of the club. Failure to do so will result in the board having to look for a buyer and remember whatever the sale price is, the money will go to JB - as was agreed when he gifted the shares to Motherwell to give the idea of a society run club the chance to work. At the end of last season JB could have washed his hands of the club, put it up for sale and taken any offer he fancied. Instead he gave us this chance to turn the club into something unique. I for one never wish to see collection buckets to stave off adminstration outside Fir Park again and although I've not yet signed up I will have done so before the end of Febuary. I'd urge everyone to think long and hard about whether they can afford it and if so, what kind of a future they want to see for the club – time is running out. We don't have 5 months - nevermind 5 years – to make a decision, it must be made now and as motherwell's supporters it is us and those who follow us that will have to live with the outcome of our decisions.

    The Well Society

you’re so way off the mark your lack of understanding is farcical. Best you do some research before you post again on this subject. Heres a start for you club statement from Dec ‘14 Motherwell Football Club and the ‘Well Society can confirm that they have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Mr Les Hutchison. If the transaction set out in the MOU is concluded, Mr Hutchison will provide the club with working c apital finance, alongside the ongoing funding support provided by the Society, which has just provided another lo an totalling £100k to the club This finance will take the form of an interest free loan, repayable over a maximum period of five years. During that time the Society Board have committed to growing both membership numbers and funds in order to demonstrate that the supporter base is fully behind the concept of fan ownership. Once Mr Hutchison’s loan has been repaid in full, it is anticipated the Society will become the ow ners of the club. Mr Hutchison will effectively act as facilitator for the transition of ownership of the club to supporters, provided there is clear evidence that more of our fan base is willing to support the initiative. We have now entered a 30-day exclusivity period to enable financial and legal due diligence to be undertaken. Mr Les Hutchison stated: “I look forward to working with the Society and the Club to help them achieve their objective of fan ownership and be financially sustainable within five years.” Mr Brian McCafferty, acting Chairman of the Society, added: “We would like to sincerely thank Les for his generous loan to the club which has kept alive hopes of community ownership. We emphatically believe the partnership between Les and the society provides, by far, the best solution to both the club’s short-term financial needs and its long -term sustainability and success.”

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

The figures quoted are basic wages. We might pay more in other benefits ie signing on fee, appearances, win bonuses, final league position etc which could put us above other clubs when taken into account.
  19. I recon that the VT guy got his numbers mixed up and so they just went with the clip they had. No way was that deliberate
  20. I think initially Campbell (?) was blind side of Johnson — who no doubt could hear our screams to centre the ball and was probably thinking where the fuck is the guy I’ve to square it to - and when he did turn the Aberdeen defender he saw a way through to goal and took his chance well. So in short I don’t think he should or had the chance to square the ball into the centre.
  21. Why was Campbell booked?

Hard one today, no poor shows but think Grimshaw was outstanding - looks back to being the player who we had on loan. Long may that continue. Would also like to mention Mbulu the guy looked very assured in defence

With the previous talk about him needing a rest, I’d like to think that he gets a break and some time off rather than getting thrown into this game.
