  1. Drum's solely there to keep the songs in time guys. Don't want trumpets etc drowning out the singing.
  2. In terms of numbers there's not enough to do that one big groups better than 2 smaller ones any way.
  3. Aye, can only echo what dee's saying here. Really would be great if more of the support could try joining in with us, singing along etc. We know we're not to everyones taste all of the time, but we've seen enough to know that a better atmosphere leads to a better result. STAND UP AND SING FOR MOTHERWELL!!!
  4. The pigeons will indeed not shite on a new stadium, lets build it now and nip this pigeon fiasco in the bud. As for the pies, I can imagine as it's a pre season game they were unsure of what they would sell. Sure they'd rather sell out their pies than have spares at the end. What your suggesting though is like buying a new car 'cos you can't be fucked cleaning the old one. All it'd take is getting afew people in and scrub the seats every now and then.
  5. Ross Forbes will be our Charlie Adam if we're not careful. He's the real deal in terms of ability on the ball. Hounded by the support and not first choice with the managers. He'll leave us at some point then we'll wonder how he's such a good player all of a sudden.
  6. why were the Motherwell support so quiet?
  7. Our past European runs haven't lasted more than 3 home games would it be worth installing safe standing sections? When perhaps just making the likes of the end section an old style terrace, like AaFK and OB. The sections would of course be left dormant in European sell outs like Nancy perhaps losing some revenue, but given the chances of that sort game happening and the initial outlay of safe standing would it be worth spending it?
  8. Will people shut up about safe standing? AaFK do not have safe standing, Odense did not have safe standing and I'm sure alot of the german teams(I know St Pauli are one) do not have safe standing. They have terracing. Safe standing is a specific installation to turn in to an all seater stadium for UEFA sanctioned games that don't allow it. As for the German model I mean tickets covering public transport to games, affordable ticketing, the encouragement of the youth to football and the understanding to let fans get a little rowdy and noisy. It only happens on the national front because any behavior is all but excused if your in a kilt and a retro scotland jersey. Police are too scared to deal will 50,000 like minded fans. A real standing comparison I'd make would be England, some League 1 and League 2 teams will have average attendances similar to us, and terracing will be perfectly ok, but because our team is in the top division we need to sit down?
  9. Was at Aalesunds v Neath and Molde v Aalesunds. 2 pretty small stadiums, one full one less than half full, Aalesunds have a group as did Molde trying to make noise, fans were generally receptive to the groups over there. Next to no stewards and even less police nobody bitching about them being "wee fannies" on the internet, thats what get an atmosphere going. The clubs don't own the ground- do they need to over there? not franchise based? Transport thing? they do it in Germany, I don't know if I've said it on here before, but copy the German model, its the best way.
  10. All this at Ravenscraig? A night club relies on bars and good late night transport links near by otherwise folk won't go, what with Mega Bar and the Palace locally are people going to go up there? A function suite makes a decent turn if its booked out, I imagine the club make a sum from their suites already. A hotel? really? Offices? there's already an office block on Airbles road empty, where are Motherwell going to magic up some tenants for a new facility. We should stick an artificial pitch on Fir park, AaFK had one, didn't look like a struggle for the players.
  11. 4 different stands, it's the UK's general stadium layout, look at the designs for the new Liverpool stadiums, they wanted to incorporate that part of British stadium design. As for Ravenscraig being a chance to build an asset for the community... Yes this is a great point, lets serve the local community by moving the stadium out of town, away from the community, away from the vast number of fans who walk to the stadium. Something we can all be proud of eh, a soulless concrete oval, oh but with a sports bar and good catering inside.
  12. Did Nike not use iron on badges for some of the player issued tops in the world cup? avoids nipple rash etc?
  13. The AaFK stadium hasn't got safe standing nor did the Molde one we visited, it's purely a terraced setction within an all seater. Safe standing only really happens in Germany where rather than shut sections off they can convert to seats in UEFA sanctioned games. Standing is generally safe, talk to us about bouncing up and down where there's seats though, gubbed shins all round. Turn the east or sections of it back to terracing then yer jamming in Fir Park.
  14. we do not need a really good stadium like Aalesunds, if you know about their old ground you'd know why they HAD to move, look at Fir Park and we've had a shit pitch, let us have 3G, not an issue, and on the basis that last year it was better than it has been then see how the next goes. Also assume this winter won't be as harsh for a prolonged period of time and the plumbing is fine too.
  15. Absolute shite, every last word. clown/idiot -delete as applicable
  16. Paying you share up on tick is surely mental. Another financial crisis hit, loadsa folk default on the payment, could end up with a huge share owned by some finance company.
  17. put a thread about this in the club chat, its not an anti-sectarian bill at all, it's an anit anything that might offend somebody in anyway with anything to do with the football bill.
  18. of course they don't I only buy my football tops in the month of June, they've got 13 days or I'm afraid I just won't be buying one.
  19. This is where your tax payers money is spent... http://www.scottish.parliament.uk/s4/bills/01-offbehfoot/b1s4-introd.pdf ridiculous
  20. What does the trust actually do and what have they done over the past season?
  21. http://www.subbuteoworld.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4816&osCsid=v09v58kbh5antf7c3ok1nvv9d3 this site has loads of stuff that isn't the cardboard cut outs of the 2006 ac milan team. Some italian companies seem to own the rights now
  22. He's not became a 15 million centre half in one season, he's became the product of a ridiculous league over night, nobody on the continent has came in because he is not a 15 million centre half. Man utd have spunked that on him because they can. They had the best centre half in the world on their books 3 years ago now we're bemoaning turning down a player without a first team start at the start of this season. People on here need to stop and think.
  23. Is Hughes really a good signing again? He's went down south couldn't hack, came to us with the view to getting a move south again, gets it, now it's gone wrong again and he's going to come back to us, go through the motions and get a deal somebody else. I don't mind that we're a stepping stone, but not twice for the one player, especially one that went missing so often.
