  1. I'm not sure whether I'm looking forward to this or not. TITP starts day after the first round second leg, so depending on where it is would depend if I could go. I'm then in Blackpool with the family the following week, so would miss the second round first leg. From a purely selfish point of view I'd like both those legs to be home games, as I can go to Fir Park and watch football most weekends, but I can't go abroad and watch them.

    Canterbury

Yeah, the science behind it is meant to make the keeper seem bigger and so more intimidating to onrushing strikers. I didn't make it up, I'm just telling it as it is...

What's the difference between small and medium? I got mine small but its quite neat, would it be a drastic change up to medium?
  4. Is that astrograss they have there? http://www.inter.az/index.php?option=com_r...t=0&lang=en Also looks like the stadium is shared by 4 teams, so maybe they need astrograss to stop it getting worn down.
  5. Sanchez appears to have a bit of a squint going on in that pic on the BBC. One eye's looking for ye, the other eye's got ye!

    I quite like it tbh...

Got mine this morning, looking pretty good I must say. See if I decided I'd rather a long-sleeve top now, would I be able to take my short-sleeve one into the shop and swap it, paying the difference obviously? I'm not sure whether I'd like long-sleeve again like last year or to go for a change with the short-sleeve.
  8. I was quite surprised when I saw that on the BBC as Clarky and Rossco aren't similiar players in the slightest imo. Personally I'd be both very upset and very surprised if he did go.
  9. I'm not too keen on Sanchez tbh due to the reasons said previously, ie long ball tactics. For me it's between Macca and Luc, with Nijholt being my preferred option. The way he came across in the paper I thought was really encouraging to see, what with his experience of promoting youth. I also feel that, of all the candidates mentioned, he'd be most likely to stay for longer should we be successful. This would give us a bit of stability to build upon year after year, and so for me Luc shades it.
  10. If what I've heard about Gannon's achievements on such a small budget are true then I doubt very much that we could get him unless we act quickly. Would be good but if he did come and he did live up to expectations.

    Nijholt

Take it this is from today's papers?
  12. Has there actually been any serious mention of Nijholt being the new manager, or is he just still being said to be many people's preferred choice? Sorry if this has been mentioned before, I wasn't willing to sit and read through 33 pages to see if it had.
  13. Motherwell boss Mark McGhee has been recommended by departing Celtic manager Gordon Strachan as his replacement at Parkhead, BBC Sport understands. Where does it actually say anywhere that Strachan has even mentioned McGhee's name? Anyone else smell that?
  14. I think, if he were to go (which I'm not saying he will) we would be due a fair amount of compo seeing as he signed a bumper contract at the beginning of the season. If he took Leitch with him also, which he very well may do, we would be compensated handsomely for his bumper contract also. I think the fact its a team in the same league would also boost the sum a little, but even at this we would still end up with a pittance of a fee.
  15. From that dons forum... "To add to this 'story' there are rumours elsewhere that McGhee has already quit Fir Park." Lol.
  16. I got my times mixed up and by teh time I got down it was shut Anyways, how would I go about getting turf? Plus I'd also like to maybe buy some of the stuff which is still to go, would also like to see what is left.
  17. McGhee and Strachan are mates - correct? McGhee was committed himself to us in the past before this happened - correct? The chances of Strachan knowing he was going to resign in advance and not just leaving as a spur-of-the-moment decision are pretty high - correct? Well if these things are all correct then maybe Strachan had said to his old mate that he was going to be leaving should they lose the title, or even if they won the title? And maybe McGhee has come out saying he'll be here next season to try and cut himself from speculation early? Maybe wishful thinking, but still a possibility.

    Euro Away Day

I'm totally the opposite from most people. If the away leg was on the 9th it would depend where it was on whether I would make it or not, and after missing out on the Nancy trip last year due to other things that had been arranged before hand I don't think I'd cope with missing out I'll also most definitely miss the first leg of the next round should we go through. If we played away second leg in the first round and then away first in the second round I'd be heartbroken.

    The Split

The split would only really be scrapped when the league itself is re-structured. Without the split teams in our league would only play 33 games compared to the 38 of the English, Spanish leagues, etc. By splitting the league all that is really done is that each team gets another five games to take them to the 38. Tbh increasing the size of the league is in order, but that's a different story.
  20. May already have happened mate. Noticed Buzz giving his jersey and gloves into the fans after the game against Accies, so not sure whether Mcghee has said anything beforehand about who would play today. Also, is anyone up for the whole sombrero and sunglasses shenanigans again, or would that just be tempting fate a bit before its even been made official?
  21. The Mighty Well, seeded for European competition - brilliant! Sadly T In The Park, which I've already spent over £200 on, starts on the 10th, with the second leg being on the 9th. So, from a selfish point of view, I'm hoping for an away tie first against whoever tbh, although Wales or one of the Irelands would be good.
  22. Yeah, that's fair enough and I agree with that. But what I'm saying is that just because they played for one of 'them' doesn't make them any better than this guy Webster.
  23. No, I think all that's saying is that should the winners already have qualified for Europe (ie Champions League) then the loser will take their place in the Europa Cup. I think 4th is a very good target for us this season. A win today would put us level with Hibs in 6th on the basis that Celtic beat them. With Aberdeen and Hibs still to be played twice and Dundee United and Hearts once (I think) then we're in a very good position to claw back points over these teams and climb the table.
  24. Yeah, I was referring to the Celtic reserves

    Maros Klimpl

Positive stuff to hear that Maros may be staying permanently and that we're not leaving it to the last minute to try and get stuff sorted for him. Also good to hear we're still looking for new players. Mon the Maros!
