  1. To those saying they'd like to see Reynolds in a midfield position, I'd like to ask them if they've seen his distribution? He canny pass the ball to save himself! Admittedly if he can learn to pick out a pass then in the future he could do well in a more advanced role, but for now I don't think so.
  2. Hi, my name's Jim Gannon, wanna come play for ma team? Naw, your shorts urny the same colour as your top. There is a slight colour difference between the shorts and socks, but could you actually notice it last night? I couldn't see anything tbh. Plus you also need to consider that the top and shorts will be made of different materials, plus there may be other technical aspects which mean they are different colour. So naw, we're not a joke cus our strip varies slightly in colour.
  3. Was reading the Metro on the train today and McLean was saying something along the lines of working with Eddie May was a major attraction for him and he can't wait to get working with him. He also said he had no qualms in joining Falkirk as everyone there has lots of ambition. And it's a 2 year deal he signed.
  4. Who is this boy we're taslking about btw?
  5. We thought our new keeper top was dodgy? What a howler Buzz will be playing in next season!
  6. Looks like you lot are putting a hell of a lot of work into this, shame we're not really doing much up here but hopefully everything will be enjoyed by both sets of fans.
  7. Mini-Motherwell anyone?

I think that Boyle has shown himself to not be a numpty, and although some of his decisions may not be favourable among some parts of the support there is usually a reason behind him doing so - I can't think of anything he has done where there hasn't been justification. The loss of out-of-contract players isn't entirely his fault, more to do with McGhee not tying them down when he was here but they're away now so that's that. But I don't think Clarkson, Quinn and Reynolds would be going if Gannon hadn't given the thumbs up to it. Gannon and Boyle have met plenty of times so far to discuss things such as players I'd imagine (I'm not sure what they would speak about in interviews, but I'd guess the playing squad would be one thing), and so Gannon must be ok with it. This must mean that he has a couple - well, hopefully more than a couple - of potential targets lined up as replacements already. Going by what Stockport fans as well as others have been saying about players he's bought in the past then I'd say that things are going to be pretty exciting for Motherwell in the coming days and weeks. Mon the new players! Mon the Jimbo Gannon! Mon the 'Well!
  9. I can't see that doing his international career any good.

What's the difference in price between a long-sleeved top and a short-sleeved one? And is the club shop open today? I'm guessing it'll be closed by now even if it was, eh?

These Hibs guys are so up themselves its unreal! They're starting to annoy me just reading that thread, here's one posters response to someone asking what our finances were like...

From that Hibs board... I find it funny how some are doubting Hughes can do a decent job and are already lining up his successor!
  13. I was in getting my tickets yesterday and they said they'd only sold about 1000 for both legs, which is a bit disappointing tbh.
  14. Looks like it's been us rather than Inverness who have been relegated - and we didn't even realise!

Maybe it's a bit like commision! If this is something which is quite common, I reckon it would be the profit made on a player, like 5% of the profit maybe. If a player was bought for £10 and sold for £110 the profit would be £100, so they'd be entitle to a fiver. Just an idea..

I think I've missed something with regards to Sutton, anyone care to share? And thanks a lot for your insight charlietoogood, it has been interesting to hear someone's opinion on Gannon who has actually seen how a side can change under him.
  17. I'm guessing the bit on Reynolds is again just lazy journalism as I haven't heard anything about that this season as of yet.
  18. I'm puzzled as to where all this 600k is coming from, as well as the 800k as I've only ever seen 'undisclosed fee' being mentioned.
  19. Boothroyd definitely excites me the most, and then if it's out of the four most recently mentioned then Gannon would be second. Although, if West Brom now want Boothroyd then I would think that would be us ruled out.
  20. I'm actually heartbroken by this news. I just can't picture Clarkson wearing any other team's colours other than ours - would be like looking at green tigers or purple giraffes! Although I want him to do as well as he can, I'll be extremely sad to see him go. And I mean EXTREMELY sad. I think I'm possibly his biggest fan. But if he does go onto better things, I'd imagine he'd act in a similiar way to what McFadden did after he left us. Hey, imagine in a couple of seasons time, we could be having Clarkson and McFadden returning to wind down their careers with their first clubs by tearing up the SPL.

I'm not sure if it will make a dramatic difference or not, but will this sharp boost in the sale of merchandise mean there will be more money generated through the shop than most years? If so then maybe the relaying of the pitch won't have as big an impact on any potential transfer kitty then?
  22. There's the pot with the seeded teams and the pot with the unseeded teams. One team will be picked from each pot and put into a separate pot, so there's just the two teams. Then they are drawn out of that new pot randomly, so either the seeded or the unseeded team could be at home first.
