  1. i think they should be allowed back into the terracing under the main stand pros and cons of staying and moving, however whilst we remain at fir park, i think its a stay where you are and if we eventually move, then they get the centre piece and hope it spreads there is no way, those in section F will move voluntarily - they'll have been there since the seats went in - 91/92 i think
  2. i disagree with the vast majority of your posts, so much so that sometimes i wonder if we actually go to the same game can you please enlighten me which players we have in our squad that are 1st div players that are dragging us down
  3. one of my biggest hates yes, we all know he isnt a winger - but how many times has he played there this season? and why is he not learning? its not that difficult to remember "i need to give him more space" or "i should be making a run in behind here" he has potential - yes, but does he have ability to push on and be Motherwell's Gareth Bale he has the strength, he has the pace, he has a good left foot.............. even with Ainsworth - he came on at HT, and i was impressed -recieved the ball wide, and started to run at players, hit the byeline and drill low crosses into the box - we will score from that, whether it be Sutty or an OG, or even a corner, but after so long, he stopped doing that, and just firing high balls in - always over hit, waste of a chance
  4. Lawson is a good player, he proved that last season. What he offers though, is not what we need in terms of how McCall has us playing. That's not Lawson's fault. See you next season Totally agree. For me, and I've said it to a few people today, not only are we missing Law, but Ojamma too Agree with this totally, but everyone has this attitude and its there for everyone to win As much as I hate this wee runt, no matter who he has played for in this country, he continually impresses me. For all that you think of his physical appearance, he has it all and offers a bit of everything Agree with you again, but Lasley, Carsy and Lawson are all good players - but its not them who pick the team. Thats down to McCall. he needs to find a tactic that suits the players at his disposal This is where I dont agree with you, we can not play two attacking full backs, plus have the luxury of two players who are going to drift about - thats footballing suicide. We are Motherwell, not Man United. You want to play two attacking full backs - then Lawson is your man in the middle of the park. ZFA and Ainsworth - need to hit the byline more - I honestly think the two of them are attached by some sort of magnetic pull to their respective full back They are better than us - no questions. Its taken them a while, and they probably still owe us about another 5 defeats - we've pumped them that much recently
  5. that would've been a good one to have after a big home game get the numbers up etc oh wait................the game has been moved!!!!!!!!!
  6. over the last 20 years, i think i have averaged about 30-35 games a season, home, away, abroad - wherever this season, i think im going to be lucky to hit 20. sad record to achieve!
  7. Yet, even were Motherwell to win in midweek, Hutchinson may not have the opportunity to play another cup tie for the club. Out of contract in the summer, the Newcastle-born player, says he has “never thought of leaving” and doesn’t see why he “couldn’t extend” his stay. He will only think about his future when a contract offer is presented. McCall met the player’s advisers this week and will be looking for a response quickly. If a deal is rejected, Hutchinson is in the final months of his Motherwell career. “He is still not the finished article and I feel that it would be better for his development to extend his stay here,” McCall said. “That would be better than the club trying to shuttle him out in January. The club has to safeguard itself. I know he is enjoying himself here and he needs to look at the bigger picture too. His agent and advisers will be saying it’s time to move on but I genuinely don’t think it is yet.” Is what interested me in that article........ fingers crossed he decides to extend his stay
  8. without letting the cat out the bag, one of the guys is going to hire a sheep fancy dress costume - then all the Bois are going to "have a shot" of said sheep in front of the Aberdeen fans
  9. red cards in champions league should count in the SPL/SPFL Premiership! would be delighted with a point - but we tend not to sieze these oppurtunities, we need to attack from the start and not give them any respect
  10. i think Celtic losing last night will make McCall think twice aboutn his team, as mentioed above it anybodys cup now He may have fancied giving a few game time, but now, IMO, its win at all costs (not that it wasnt before) hopefully there will be another shock tonight - but just not in livingston and hopefully we will take through a very decent support - this game will be better than the Man U v Liverpool game
  11. Lawson was a stand out for County last season, a season they will not probably better. You can't say McCall was wrong to target someone who had played so well. McCall already rates Carswell - its why he has denied him several loan moves, but thats not to say they both wont come good. We've only played a handful of games - there is a full season ahead of us, we'll need both of them As for your wide player our money could've been better spent on, can you please throw some names this way. I'm sure McCall had loads of targets, but they declined our advances - there is not much more we can do. If SMc goes through his list and none of them want to come, then he finds someone and signs him for the sake of it - then that is a waste of a wage Waiting until you can find someone who is going to add something to your squad is a sign of not panic buying and good management
  12. ICT will be way too strong for scumdee
  13. can you please elaborate? if this guy comes in to play on the right, Faddy will go and play on the left or do you think we will now totally change our style of play? or do you think he will play in the "hole" - which then means you are expecting him to be the one chasing knock downs from Sutton - i cant see that happening either
  14. NAW!! im glad no one else is around because that certainly made me laugh!!!!! those 2 certainly know where the goal is - the only need half a chance, like someone else said, Hutch and Mick need to hassle and niggle from the off without making any mistakes missing this one as some bellend is getting married
  15. im with Kuban - i wanted one to add to the others i have - but its only the Levante one that is shown
  16. its is normally the friday or monday after the games - so that the sponsors get the "air time" so this friday is likely - the 3rd round is also seeded, so you might well get your request! at least we cant draw Rangers which is a bonus!!! i cant see that many shocks tonight - most of the seeds should go through, although from an SPL/Premiership/top league - i do think County / Hearts / St mIrren all have tough ties
  17. McCall is aware of his ability and why he was handed a new contract last season - its also the reason why McCall refused to let him go out on loan last year. He has been told that this is a big year for himself - so he needs to try and push on. It will be hard for him due to the signings SMc has made, experienced pros now vying for the same position - but i think he's got the talent to do it We'd all like our strikers to score 15-20 (even more) goals - however, when you play the way we do - its all about contributing to the team. He may not be fancy - but he does a job and a good one at that - nice to see someone else see the game as I do. Folk were moaning last year about Higdon not being able to jump (ie the fucking arse bandits who sit in the back row of the last section in the East Stand) and are now moaning that Sutty falls down to easily.......FFS If someone has their hands on your shoulders - you cant freely jump, to me, that was Higdons downfall - he was happy to jostle with defenders but didnt like going down - Sutton on the other hand has decided to learn from his big bro and go down at every opportunity! We'll get a lot of decisions for us because of that, which means a chance of an attacking set play Big John Sutton Motherwell's no 9
  18. any more of these left? (issue 3) i never made the game on saturday
  19. you can drive them TO the game, if we lose (or look like losing) just leave 5mins early and head home yourself
  20. i seen you in Viewpark last night, outside the barrel are u really there?!
  21. he may have a pompus accent, but he was more than nice when I spoke to him on a few occasions and was more than willing to take time out of his own time, not Motherwells, to come and see my boy when he got knocked down as a player, I wish hed stayed - ive said that several time, as a person - I cant agree with you either!!
  22. i think he was given the no 1 shirt before we had even sign Neilsen - i wouldnt read into that very much without looking into it - were both keepers not given the exact same game time throughout pre-season? Last game of the season - the players looked as if they had no faith or confidence in Hollis, when we played Newcastle - he had a howler for their 3rd goal - the problem is the last few seasons we have been very very blessed with extreme talent between the posts, now we are back to "normal" standard rather than guys who were standouts We just need to hope that Nielsen uses us a stepping stone and really does push on and prove that there is some talent there
  23. old news mate - where have you been????
  24. whilst we would all like to see a 433 or a 451 attacking lineup, and with all the suggestions being made - i think we all need to rethink or not be disappointed when we turn up tonight McCall has made it clear he will be playing 3 CBs and 2 WBs whilst i think this can work well for some teams - it works well for St Mirren, they dont let teams play - for us, I dont think it works (yet) our wing backs don't provide enough width when we go forward (its a c*nt of a shift for anyone who has to do it, but if thats what McCall chooses to do, then they need to do it) At Doncaster - ZFA was always within 15 yards of Hammy - only on a few rare occasions did he go forward, which i thought was a shame because i think he would've defo had the legs on Paul Quinn Newcastle - we gave away possession cheaply twice and we were punished twice, we cant afford to do that tonight At Morecambe - I cant remember!! Whatever the team may be, get behind them, sing with Bois and lets try to make it a night not to forget #SIWY
  25. i'd obviously love us to win, however realistically we are up against it - but a goal at home would go a long way to sending me home happy!! McCall has already stated he will be playing 3 centre halves and 2 wing backs, so he'll either play Hammy as a CB and ZFA wing back, so that he can shuffle them round if its not working and he doesnt have to make a sub - or it'll be Hammy or ZFA at wing back Faddy and Vigurs are both capable of hitting decent shots from outside the box, something we as a team have not been good at in recent years and from that i'm hoping that we can take advantage of any set pieces we may get , i've not seen any of their players, but with these guys physique, im hoping we can use it to our advantage as mentioned above - unless McCall has a major change of heart - we will be playing a 5-3-2 or a 5-4-1 - I agree about the midfield, and thats what make me think it will be 5-4-1 which will leave Sutton very isolated. He may do what he didn in Pana and dropped Higgy, we may see McFadden or McHugh as a lone strikerand if that happens, it will be Carsy who comes in however i see it as Nielsen .................. Rammers Hutchy Mick Kerr ........................ ................................Hammell ........................ Lawson ....................Lasley Vigurs ........................... Faddy ............................Sutton Hope everyone brings their singing voice and we dont get Malmo'd!! #SIWY
