  1. Aye, Omar Daley is worse than murder. A winger that constantly gets the ball taken off him? Ideal

Watched it on BBC Alba. Good start. Hearts had a number of chances but didn't taken them. Excellent three points. Good to see Faddy getting another 70 mins under his belt.

Finally, in case it has been missed, I never want to see Omar Daley play for us in an SPL match again. Truly honking

  2. I've always been wary of McCall needing to rebuild, potentially, an entire team.

The same concern could be placed at any manager's door though.

Who would I get? Not sure. My thoughts would likely differ from that of the board but I thought McNamara would have been a contender for our job if McCall walked. Derek Adams IF his contract was up and another team (Aberdeen) wasn't interested. Like it or not I believe Steven Pressley would be interviewed for our post and possibly in the running. Too soon for the likes of Paul Hartley. Derek McInnes could be looking for a way back in. The likes of Phil Brown would probably balk at our finances. As for former lower league managers.......I'm not sure.

    What about yourself Netherton?

  3. If the board budget for a good Cup run and a top six finish each season (which is another argument) then it will be interesting to see what happens if we finish outside the top six. Which is a possibility. By the above criteria this season would be a failure......so does McCall still get offered a contract by the board?

  4. I generally don't look forward to OF games due to their fans sitting beside us in the POD Stand. Families being targeted now but still a pretty poor atmosphere and halftime can be very awkward.

If we ever find ourselves cuffing them at HT in an important game for them.....yes I know..... there will be bother.

This game on Sky Sports 2 or 3 then?

  5. Possibly no more than someone willing to give up a lot of spare time. If someone is doing so much for nothing then it's difficult, from the inside, to be too critical. However, I'm pretty sure comments will have been noted, taken on board, and changes made in the future.

Wasn't Mark Benstead being touted as a commentator on MFCTV at one stage? Pretty certain he would have been expecting cash for the gig and that put an end to that idea. Would be good if you could get injured/suspended players etc. to co-commentate on a game. Bring some real insight to the games as well. Highly unlikely to happen mind you.

Club have always failed to utilise their biggest asset (the players) for outside/additional duties imo.

  6. A lot of the criticisms above are sadly justified. Haven't logged in for a wee while now to be honest but when I did use it and on the rare occasion I did listen to a match commentary, I was not impressed at all.

Obviously, it is being run on a tiny (zero) budget but when people are paying for the service it does need to be better than it is.

  7. so you kind off agree with the rest of us, a bigger league still wouldnt mean more competition for first over the season until financial gaps are closed

but it would mean less repetitive fixtures for every club

more interest for fans that go and see games week in week out

only one league visit to other grounds each season, increase in demand?

posibility of more interesting matches in that teams dont know each other intimately

so how about arguing for some tangible benefits of bigger leagues

PS you'll lose tho' as the clubs are saying there aren't 2-6 clubs financially ready to come up

hence I'd rather fans fought for some benefits for those that are still going to matches , to be added in to the proposals

remove the silly oclock Sunday morning fixtures

no matches to be rescheduled less than 4 weeks before ko

move the scheduled midweek fixtures away from winter to July/August

give all clubs back the Scottish cup interest after new year

    ........

'Mon you. Those changes are far too beneficial, attractive for fans, and are loaded with too much common sense for them to be listened too
