  1. The facts are though 12 months in we have about, I think, 800 adult members. Much more required to meet the 'target' or three or four very generous companies need to step up. In this financial climate again a big ask.

The four monthly payments is the big stumbling block I think. If this could get paid up af £25 a month I think more would take it on? Enougj to meet the quoted £1.5m? If I'm honest I do have my doubt. Again, I hope those doubts are misplaced.

  2. It's only the opposite stand behind the goals that u12s can in for 2 squid at.

Shouldn't be happening then. Somebody (with kids) should put them right. Hopefully we would get same offer rather than St Mirren fans losing out too.

  3. As gutted as I was by the result and performance last night, I don't for a second doubt their effort. They probed and tried to create the space to have a go - I personally don't think on this occasion we reacted to Aberdeen's tactics in the right way but I couldn't question their commitment. Even the ones that were brutal were giving their all.

Sure there was effort. Perhaps I mean if we played well, gave it everything, and just came up short in/were unlucky in a good game of football. For me we are getting beat in really boring games. Both teams to blame of course. Best game was County. Not 'cause they won but more to do with the fact they got their tactics wrong and actually played two up front.

Any manager (bar Lennon) should be playing one up front and feeling they will take a chance on the counter as we are gash at the back. After that flood their own half and stiffle us out the game.

Boring as hell for the supporters though if it goes to plan.

  4. For me Cummins is currently out of his depth as well. I appreciate others will disagree. Our defensive qualities have been extremely poor. Two clean sheets (and two 0-0 draws at that) in how many competitive games? Must be 20 or thereabouts. Rank rotten.

  5. If we get beat I would need to see some serious effort etc. in order to give them even a quick 'clap' aff the park. Last night was oot my seat and out the ground on the final whistle. Course of action which is becoming increasingly frequent.

Never walked out of a game early, even during pumpings in Glasgow, but for some reason last night was the closest so far. I was up for sacking it at the 80th minute but was talked out of it. Glad I stayed now I suppose but still a bit scunnered with the fitba at the moment if I'm being honest.

  6. I'm not a big fan of Stuart McCall but while we're sitting in third place in the league I feel it's unfair for people to be calling for him to go. Whether or not he should be offered a new contract is a different matter. If he can keep the majority of the team together I wouldn't be averse to him getting a new contract, however if (as looks likely) there's going to be a major rebuilding job required I'm not sure he's the man for the job.

This is my view as well.

  7. Season does deflate when you 100% know for certain that a Cup win is gone for another year. Number crunchers will be less than happy with the amount of money we have lost from a potential domestic Cup run or two. McCall needs a very good placing in the league for finances and probably his own standing if he is looking to move on himself.

Terrible draw in the Cup, honking result. No Cup football this season at THIS stage is also another major downside to the 4th round getting brought forward. Certainly killed a bit of the new year magic etc. for Ross County and Motherwell fans. Terrible decision imo.

  8. I thought Buzz was a very decent keeper but obviously nowhere near Ruddy and Randolph. I think those 'comparisons' won't help his 'legacy' but that's the way it goes. In the end he was replaced by two much better keepers. I'm not even counting Michael Fraser.

Hollis.....too early to say. I'm sure we will get the chance to make up our minds soon though. He can't be as bad as Fraser that's for sure.

  9. It is a concern though that the Society has been up and running for nearly a year and has raised £380,000 plus change but another £1,120,000 is required. This is going to take large donations from nearby businesses. In this 'financial climate' I'll admit to being more than sceptical.

Major fundraising required that is for sure. Be interesting to see ideas, plans in action, etc.
