He certainly was doing a PhD at Stirling Uni, where the money was coming from I don't know. Must have been a shite thesis if it didn't get past the first year. John works in education sector and wanted his gift to be education-based. Same goes for administrative staff. As much as I like hearing all that goes on at the club, it can work against them when they make a big deal about recruiting guys, for them to disappear without comment.
