Sutton. Stepped up and took the pressure penalty. A few seconds but the most any Motherwell player did today to step up to the plate.

 

Also the brief time we looked any good was immediately between Ainsworth and Sutton coming on and that comedy goal we gave away.

Its strange how on most occasions we drop down to st mirrens dismal standard. Sutton, for stepping up to take penalty.

Couldn't fault Erwin today, same with hammell. Loved suttys passion with the pen

You could tell that Sutton knew what that kick meant. He held himself back outside the box before it was time to spot the ball. He looked up and around. He took a big breath then strode up and slotted it away. I have criticised his penalties before as he is a bit of a trundler but that was a big moment and he delivered. And then.....

close to null vote but thought pearo tried hard enough to merit my vote. the fact that a guy who all he did was kick a dead ball is getting votes shows how dire it has become

Hammell for me. Did nothing spectacular but was solid again for the most part.

Hammell, Ramsden and Erwin...the only three to get pass marks. The others need to take a long, hard look at themselves for one reason or another.

 

 

Lasley could have been booked about 6 times

Pearson was unbelievably shoddy at even the most simple of passes

McManus and O'Brien were all over the Shire at times

Johnston is probably still in Naismiths back pocket

Grant is getting hung out to dry on the right...either play him in the middle or not at all

Skippy picked the wrong option far too many times, fell over his own feet at least twice and then elbowed someone in the coupon and got himself a 2match ban!!

The keeper made a couple of decent saves, but is Twardzik-esque in that he looks like he has a fuck-up just around the corner.

 

If we do go down, we'll deserve everything coming to us because we have been absolutely fucking rotten for 95% of the season...worst team in the league, never mind 2nd worst.
