Alot of chat about resting players for this game. Last season the chat was how it appeared we did not take cup games seriously by playing weakened teams. We cant afford to take Stenny lightly they appear to have started their season well. Play our strongest team, win the game early if possible and then withdraw players for rest. Every game we play brings more understandings and relationships between players, which improves the team structure and unity. Something that improves our chances against an up comming top side.

Suprised JT never got it...

Did not think he was that great. Seem to favour the visitors and gave alot of very soft fouls, especially 1st half. He improved slightly in 2nd half. In saying that you are correct to say he was streets ahead of the scottish officials! Standards are declining even with all the tv recordings they need to study, learn and improve.

Stadium was rocking.

The defence strolled it. Johnny K is a much better right back than Sparrow defensively. Reads the game brilliantly. Fadinger ran the game. Said got to get it for his brilliant 2 goals and overall work rate.

Said hobbling about now! Thats all we need if hes injured as well.

Brilliant performance. Never in doubt once we went ahead.

After a nervous start we have grown into the game and dominated. Lowry vision just not quite linking up, but his performance has been promising. JT can do better. Cookie is not much better than JT. Oh for a number 9.

Our press last season was usually started by Slattery. None up front is taking that role on. As for MOTM, hard one as alot of average and lazy performances. Sparrow always gives 100% and got my vote. Our center backs strolled it aided by Fadinger. Longelo seldom lasts 75 mins never mind 90. For a guy his age, and lacklustre tracking back his conditioning seems poor. He is less of a liability and more useful further forward.

Our lack of movement from the from 4 is not helping the link up play and allowed the opposition to press high. When we do go long its giving the ball away cheaply. Noone up front to win and keep the ball.

Every game that referee does is abysmal to watch.

Strong in defence. Weak from midfield to attack. Less said about JT the better. Alot of tired legs and squad depth lacking.

Do well to get a draw here.
