  1. Careful not to lose your balance there while you backpedal.

  2. You see it all the time and it's incredible to me. A young player gets one start and "he's not good enough" while a player with 30 odd league appearances, who really hasn't been good enough over a season, gets the nod. Maguire, Livingstone and Scott should have got these 5 games and then you analysis it and see where you are. They might not be good enough but you don't judge it off one match and based on last week I'd have a hard time with anyone telling me we would have been better with Main playing, or we suffered due to having selected Scott. Let's not be dull, conservative and settle for the well worn path to mediocrity. The young guys need to learn the game and here's a chance for them to do it. Not doing so is development time wasted. Given the huge rebuild required in the summer it should be inconceivable for us to squander it as we have in the past. Where did that get us again?

  4. I hope we keep Cadden. Was making goodnoff the ball runs. Looks really strong running with the ball. He went through a tough spell but since he came back it looks like the layoff has benefitted him.

  5. He was free on the wing the whole game today making great runs but grimmy tried to dribble through the whole Dundee ream and didny pass to him Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Just a wee stat. I make it that 18 of our last 23 goals have come from academy players.

  7. Crazy crazy game...first things first, how good is Davie Turnbull? Thank god it’s Hastie and not him heading to Ibrox....Refereeing in the 2nd half was unbelievable. 2 or 3 fouls after Gorrin’s 2nd yellow that were worse or at least equally as bad not shown yellows, as for relying on the linesman who was 40 odd yards away at the penalty decision......inept, incompetent call it what you like but Clancy is up there with the very worst....

  9. Really disappointed that Hastie is leaving. Even more so that he is going to the dead club. I cant blame the boy for having his head turned. The salary increase involved will be substantial and he will view it as a chance to raise his profile even further. I dont know if he is a Rangers fan but that would also be a consideration. Obviously, as a Motherwell fan, I think he would have benefitted from a full season in our first team and might have got an even bigger move if he had stayed with us for a year or two. However, players have to way up money now vs future potential in the knowledge that it can all be wiped out with one tackle. I dont bare Jake any ill will. He has made an informed choice. However, I dont think he should play again this season unless absolutely necessary. We wont learn anything from keeping him in the team and, if last week is anything to go by, the atmosphere will become increasingly ugly anytime he touches the ball. We can do without that sideshow when we are trying to secure 7th place and the extra cash that goes with it.

  10. Gorrin is out of contract most likely leaving aat the end of the season. Charges about like a bull in a china shop to get red carded with a 3 game suspension. Mmmm.

  11. He's the best young player we've produced since McAllister.

  12. If you’re saying we shouldn’t have got a penalty then the referee didn’t get it right, he gave a penalty. He then took the word of his linesman that the ball was out before the penalty incident.

  13. I actually thought the referee got the penalty decisions right today. Ariyibi went to ground then reached out and touched the ball, was definite penalty for me, and stupid from Ariyibi. On the other hand Turnbull was pretty cute but he's basically flicked the ball off the hand of the Dundee defender. There was no intent or deliberate hand ball on the part of the Dundee defender. Overall the game was highly entertaining and basically a bit mental. It's hard to judge the game because it was so open and we've made one of the worst teams in the last 20 years look like they could score at every opportunity. Then on the other hand we've responded several times and won it when we might have sat back and defended. Let's all just agree that Turnbull is incredible. Oh, and Gorrin is a far superior player to McHugh technically but I've criticised McHugh for rashness and his discipline so it's only fair I do the same with Gorrin. The guy needs to screw the head. He had about 4 dodgy tackles in the first 8 minutes and I predicted his red card long before it happened. I'd like Gorrin to be here next season but he needs to cut out the rash studs up challenges. So much happened today but it's worth pointing out the magnificent save Gillespie made at 3-3 (I think!)

  14. Let's not let the fact that we won the game take away from what was an utterly shambolic decision from the referee and his linesman to not give that penalty. Absolute fucking madness.

  15. For me, today, if we have someone who would benefit playing in the Hastie position instead of him I'd play them and not Hastie (i.e. another young player or even an out of contract player who is still considering options but definitely hasn't said no yet like Hastie has). But only for those reasons, rather than out of spite for the fact he has signed for Rangers. Otherwise I'd play him as he can still be an asset in the push for 7th.

  16. Hastie's shite, never rated him and glad he's leaving us. Also, would be an absolute joke if we get any less than £500k for him, Hastie's a top player and we should demand top dollar from Sevco.

  17. Don’t want to take anything away from a great team performance today. However, although he didn’t play too bad I honestly don’t see much of a future for Cadds, absolutely love him but watching today he was the only player that I seen didn’t have too much of an influence on the match and think we could sell him on or compo and get someone else better in. As a local lad and being Scottish we’d all prefer him over English players but I think we’ve took him as far as we can and for both parties it’s better he goes onto better himself.
