  1. Thoroughly enjoyed that last night. Really entertaining game of football despite the conditions at the end. Thought we were excellent, first half especially, and even played some nice football throught the midfield (I knew we could do it!) Mugabi was fantastic first half and Watts goal is a thing of beauty. Dare I say, Moultesque! He is without doubt the most important player in our team and we should be doing everything possible to keep him. Id be really disappointed if he were to leave now, as thats the 2nd time he has done the "Im staying" goal celebration in front of the East Stand. I understand that money talks, but he seems really happy at Fir Park and is sending out the right signals. I thought Kelly and the back 4 were pretty solid all night and it wasnt until the sending off and the absolutely atrocious conditions at the end that we looked under any pressure at the back. Goss had his best game so far and both he and Slattery showed that we actually have a couple of decent footballers in midfield. Up top KVV played well, but I thought his decision making in front of goal 2nd half let him down a little. But the conditions were terrible so I can cut him some slack there. Woolery was my MOTM though. Thats his best game for us and he finally displayed what Alexander gave as the reason for signing him. Absolutely unplayable and with an end product as well. Hopefully he can keep that up. Armchair football is the way ahead!

  2. O'Donnell was unlucky with the miss, he did well to sneak in at the back, but the ball just didn't bounce. He might get his place back if Sol and Ojala are still injured on Saturday, and I see O'Connor is out too. Otherwise Mugabi should keep his place out there. It was a shame that Maguire got sent off, as he was starting to build up a run of games again, but it was a pointless challenge to get the yellow. Others have spent a lengthy period on the bench after a red, so Maguire may have to wait a while. It looks like it's going to take an injury or a suspension for Carroll to get back in, and McGinley is on 5 yellows, so that may not be far away. Woolery looks to be growing in confidence, and tonight was definitely his best game. Like others, he's not going to be on it all the time, but he has the potential to be unplayable on his day. Lamie is just plain solid now. Didn't miss a thing. Alexander has some record of improving the players he inherited. Our pitch held up well considering, but it was getting dangerous near the end, and I was more worried about a ridiculous late abandonment than Utd scoring. The Dundee match was a clever ruse to avoid winning manager of the month. Alexander is a clever guy.

  3. How important is Tony Watt to this team? Tonight was a perfect example of what he brings… goals… a bit of quality in general… ability to keep possession and usually pass it to people in the same colour jersey… wins fouls… and a phenomenal work rate to help the team defend from the front. What a guy.

  5. Going to Easter Road 18 months ago with Mugabi and Lamie at centre half would have riddled me with fear, but I’m very confident with those two at the back for the weekend. A brilliant turnaround in form from both players to the point where they are preferred to newer signings. Credit to Alexander for that.

  6. Thought it was a good win in terrible conditions, whole team played well . The front three were brilliant and a special mention for big Beavis , he gets a bit of stick at times but he was superb last night.

  7. Went into a slide tackle in the 2nd half, got up holding his hammy. Walked off, so hopefully a strain rather than a pull.

  8. Not sure he'd fancy Aberdeen or Paisley.

  9. Was watt's celebration a hint that he is staying? Looked like it from the replay of the goal, couldn't see in the ground.
