  1. Mrs Grizzly angry with me tonight as she says my life revolves around football and she is sick of it . I said that is the cruellest thing she has said in the 27 seasons we have been together!! 😜😜

  2. Our system relies heavily on wing backs getting up and down the pitch. Going into the second half of the season with just one lwb would be madness, as we need to account for injuries, suspensions, and substitutions. In Montgomery we now have competition/backup. We do have Wilson, but maybe we want him getting regular games somewhere? Despite it coming up so often, I don't think we have ever used a combination of two fullbacks (one strong attacker and one strong defender) on one side, outside of an in-game issue.

  4. A real shame for Slattery, I suspect he'll now receive a 1 year extension from us with agreeable terms for both parties. 76 appearances for us, he deserves an extension providing it's agreeable for all involved.

  5. I’d like to see us focus on a few good loan deals for the second half of the season. Hopefully we can dig up a few higher quality players to put themselves in the shop window and help us climb up the table a bit.

  6. Slattery getting injured isnt great for us or him in the circumstances. Even with Miller back training and Maguire returning from loan, I felt we were at least 1 midfielder down from where we would like to be. So we are now looking at needing 2 in. From Slattery's perspective, his deal is up in the summer and he clearly isnt going to be getting any gametime to put himself in the shop window for a move. Im sure we will look after him medically but it will be interesting to see what happens now in May. Still cant fathom the chat about Montgomery. Off the back of the Furlong and Penney rumours, it appears we are definitely in the market for another LWB. However, he looks to be a very similar player to Gent (as were Penney and Furlong tbf) so not sure what the thought process is unless McGinley is being moved on again and we need cover. RWB for me is a priority with Spencer away. We just cant be going into the run in playing 3 at the back with SOD or McGinn at RWB. Both can do a job, but neither has the pace to be a serious attacking threat. Depending on how much longer Casey is going to be out, we probably need another CB and with Wilkinson being moved on there should be scope for another striker. That takes SKs initial 1-2 signings up to 5 or 6! Mr Daws is going to be busy!

  10. So if Taylor Swift had saw the video and thought Great idea I'll contact the club and transfer a few million, the board would have said no thanks that's not what we meant Taylor, we were just having a laugh. Aye OK then if geez yer dosh, tongue in cheek or not is not begging for cash what is.

  11. Can I provide any evidence of the club being run in an amateurish fashion? Yes, I most certainly can. The video that we’re talking about on our official media platforms begging Taylor Swift for money for starters. You want evidence of our professional top flight football club being run in an amateur fashion then there’s Exhibit A right there. Then there’s the failure to appoint a replacement for Burrows who left eleven months ago. Our transfer and scouting system is diabolical and yet our club who are forever pleading poverty have people in post who are happy to squander whatever meagre resources we have on the dross we signed last summer. That enough for now or would you like me to go on?

  12. I don’t know, as the saying goes “actions speak louder than words” so while the accounts on paper may look okay, the amateurish way the club is run alongside this plea for cash investment (and make no mistake, that’s what this production is) would suggest otherwise. We have been without a permanent CEO for almost a year, the club has no vision or direction and our support is fucking shite bar from a small faithful core of regulars. I think if we are relegated, be it this season or next then we are almost certainly looking at part time football and administration would also be a distinct possibility.

  13. All that abomination of a video has done is show the world just how much of a tinpot no-mark pathetic excuse for a professional football club we really have become. Even by our standards and with the amount of absolute cringeworthy guff that has spewed out of our social media dept this is a new low. The way it combines the "we exist to improve people's lives" pish with the begging for money and ends with a wee lad name dropping Taylor Swift is peak cringe. I don't even think Tam Cowan could put a humourous or positive spin on that. I think we as a club are well and truly fucked and Admin 2 isn't far away.
