I like SK, I do think he is bursting his hump to make us better. Rarely are his post match comments wide of the mark. His transfer dealings up to this window were nowt to get excited about. However many in our support are utterly delusional about what players we should go for or indeed would want to come to us. I hope his signings turn it around for him this time, even just to shut the cunts up who have it signed sealed and delivered that every signing is shite by looking at their Wikipedia history. Our fans reaction over the transfer window has been way over the top without knowing fuck all about any of them. St Mirren, Livingstone, St Johnstone and Ross County have all done next to fuck all in the window and we were starting to amass more points than them in the recent form guide. So unlike many of our support I'm not in the depths as despair yet , I wait and see before rushing to judgement.3 points

I don't know why that would alter folk booing him today. He was out to damage us today, so he was fair game. Tom Boyd captained us in the Cup win but I'd boo that bastard every minute of every day .. I'd boo the cunt if I saw him going to the ice cream van 😁😁2 points

I actually don't think his heart is with Killie tbh. Not saying it's with us tbh but I think this might prove an expensive mistake for them. However if he gets fit and starts rattling in the goals against the teams below us I won't complain2 points

I'm on record as saying Bair is brutal, and never premiership standard, but the way he's playing I might have to reconsider that view, he's getting better week by week, his positional sense is still a bit ropy, and not enough sticks to him, but as SK's project he is turning out well so far. 2 points lost for me today, we deserved to win.2 points

Bair has been superb of late. If he is a ‘project’ then it’s working. His confidence has improved significantly since mid/late December.2 points

Belter of a draw, buzzin with that. Conceding early is just what we needed. Not playing any of the wing backs we signed was a master stroke. Harry Paton man of the match performance. Name a stand after Kettlewell.2 points

A lot of talk about Spittal’s contract, but we need to get McGinn tied up, he was excellent today.1 point

Wasn't trying to suggest that it had anything to do with him being booed I wasn't at the game today but apparently some folk booed him and some clapped him. Personally I don't boo ex players but I agree. He's nothing to do with us now so from now on all I care about is that he helps Killie beat our opponents. Nothing else.1 point

Got to laugh at the media guys remarking how fickle fans are, as if he'd have booted a last minute penalty into the East Stand for old times' sake.1 point

KVV is now an opponent out to harm us on the park, fuck him, he's history and he's fair game petulant big dick.1 point

Also I like Paton and he gets a hard press. Never hides and loads of energy. Yep never going to get goals but attitude can't be faulted1 point

Has to be the Bair but I am huge fan of McGinn....2nd half tackle immense1 point

And what is the big deal with Halliday being a Rangers fan? None. Zero. I would suspect very few of our players support Motherwell. As for Kettlewell who he supports away from managing us is completely his business. We had Terry Butcher as our manager. Didn't see many people crying over that.1 point
-
What bigotry? Kettlewell and Halliday are both big Rangers fans. Halliday and Greg Stewart were joking about singing Loyalist songs on a podcast a couple of weeks ago.1 point

The club does need to develop and sell Lennon Miller, but the manager also has a duty to make sure young players' long term careers don't get jeopardised to suit our short term needs. Kettlewell played Miller often enough before his injury to suggest he rates him very highly.1 point

I do, but its been right far too often of late. Positive signs and being the better team means hee haw if you can't actually win.1 point

You would hope so. We go into it in fairly decent spirits. Playing reasonably well, not having lost in 5 and with only 2 defeats in 10, I think. But we do need to start converting draws into wins and this presents an excellent opportunity to open up daylight between ourselves and the play off spot.1 point

In pub..match report later but can't fault lads... deserved win.....Bair outstanding1 point

Some folk need to wring there knickers oot. Thought we actually played well for the best part in horrible conditions and probably deserved the three points. The first ten minutes they never got a sniff but typically the first time they ventured forward they got a few set pieces before they scored with the first effort they had. Quite surprised it stood as it looked a foul on Davor, esph with similar instances he pulled up for incidents involving Armstrong. I thought Paton, Spittal and Bair all played really well together, some nice phases of play but need to be more clinical. Paton could probably have won a penalty as McKenzie was pulling him as he drove into the box but he stayed on his feet. I can't remember Killie having much efforts on goal. They were however happy to volley anything that walked.1 point

Cmon mate. Mika left because he got an offer from a bigger club, with better players challenging for the league title. Arsenal also get more of his wage covered. You can blame SK and the club for a lot of things if you like, but not that!1 point

There's only one idiot on this thread (not true actually, there's at least three). You'd put a bunch of guys who arrived some time over the llast three days into the starting line up ?1 point
-
All those signings and he fields an unchanged starting eleven. Idiot.1 point

Its a strange feeling that we've won, what is it? 1 in 18 now? Could get pumped 5-0 today, and the managers job is still safe as houses to the point where pointing this out makes you the bad guy in manys eyes.1 point

Unchanged line up and despite signing umpteen fullbacks SO’D keeps his place. I don’t even know why I am surprised. Kettlewell is a dunderheid.1 point

Not sure how others feel, but there's an air of reassurance with SK. He doesn't seem to flap in interviews etc and generally seems to be able to handle the situation. Obv not good going 17 without a win, but are we not something like 1 loss in 10 as well? Although its a bit of a shitshow, I'm nowhere near as concerned as I was last season.1 point

Im relatively happy with the business that we have done. Id have liked another striker, not necessarily KVV, but someone to replace Biereth would have been grand. Whether Vale will be that player remains to be seen, but I would still have liked a back up to cover for injuries. If we cant get anyone on the free market, I would certainly be considering recalling young Ferrie. He may not be ready, but sometimes needs must. Apart from that, I think Livvy are toast, so its between us, County and St Johnstone for the play off place. I think we should have enough about us to top that triumverate. Unless of course Bair and Vale get injured at the same time and we have no cover! Now lets get into these Squirrelhumping barstewards! 😆1 point

Of course it does. You may be critical of the team and certainly have been of this manager. But at least you engage and back up your criticisms. I may not agree with you. But at least I can debate with you.1 point

I seriously doubt it. I've worked with marketing firms in London for public transport campaigns that didn't cost that much. After the transfer window we've had, I can't really blame them. I doubt we're the only club whose fans will be pissed off, though. A certain team from the east end of Glasgow springs to mind. To each their own I guess. I've posted a few times over there, but a forum with only one thread on Motherwell doesn't hold much appeal for me. I actually prefer it here. And even our regular moaners tend to at least have a coherent reason for their thinking, even if I don't agree with them often.1 point

There's still a middle ground between shelling out big bucks for KVV and only having Bair, Obika and Vale. We should have signed at least another two strikers. There's so much mixed messaging coming out the club. We are skint but we can pay a fortune for a stupid video from an Edinburgh advertising agency. We don't have money for a proper number 9 but we have to fund a women's team no one watches for the rest of eternity. Questions need asked and answered.1 point

We’ll find out tomorrow. But we’ve got more to worry ourselves with just now. The way I see it is that we need a minimum of four points from the next two home games and progression in the Scottish Cup within the next week or Kettlewell is done. If we lose tomorrow or even do our usual and fall behind early on then the reaction from the stands will be unpleasant because I get the feeling that more and more of the support are at the end of their tether.1 point
