  1. I should've stayed at the Euros where the Alt Bier and Kolsch rendered me blissfully incapable of keeping up-to-date with this nonsense all week. That said, the amended proposal can also get in the bin alongside the previous appalling draft. As can the Executive Board. Their collective bluster and incompetence know no bounds.

  2. I said the other day that I was worried about the Well Society communications and this has increased now. Now McMahon can frame a revised offer as reasonable and protecting fan ownership when it's nothing of the kind. The Society board should have been shouting from the rooftops about a massive undervaluation and the unfairness of paying out all our cash reserves in return for a huge reduction in shareholding. Instead McMahon has set the agenda all week and we've heard nothing from the Society.

  4. Barmack made a compete cunt of himself last week over on p&b,no serious individual should be arsing about on a fans forum, the thought of this clown having any control over our club is grim.

  5. Look at what GregAnderson_21 is asking him on Twitter. He’s clearly avoiding certain questions by his responses. He’s in danger of being shown for what he appears to be on there. An absolute chancer

  6. Even if the Well Society does manage to scrape the money together to get the 50.1% shareholding they will still have no reserves in 6 years time which means 1 bad season and Barmack will be offering to cover it for full control. The deal stinks.

  7. Almost like that’s part of the plan 👀 he has actually annoyed me tonight by making himself so public but being extremely selective in what questions he answers

  10. Given the shambles that the WS seems to have been in, I would not worry about it, it will be this time next year before the applications are processed.

  13. They surely can't be letting people who have signed up during this process have a vote?

  14. If he's publicly admitting that he has no fucking plan (as we all know from how shite this all is), then this has to be killed right now. He's already said to @David on P&B he only has 10% of the information he needs to formulate one. The Exec Board's integrity is totally gone here if they're willing to give control of the club to a randomer who admits he's got absolutely no idea about what he's going to be doing. If this were a takeover/investment proposal for a "proper" company this would have fallen the minute he said "Let's see what happens, lol." I've written to the club today to ask what independent financial due diligence has been carried out on the proposal, as McMahon said he would (highly) recommend doing that at the AGM... although that was when he was planning to step down and have nothing to do with the negotiations, so maybe his opinion of his own calculations mean we don't need an independent auditor involved... Once I've got a reply to that, I'll be asking for more details of Mr Barmack's business plan, investment strategy, ROI calculations and what KPIs will be used to measure the "success" over the first two seasons prior to the WS deciding if he and and his wife are adding any value.

  15. I agree, and reducing power the Society currently holds The Board statement is just playing on the 51% emotional hang up folks have.. Giving fans the impression that it is being conceded but in reality this is a longer game with a far different outcome the objective.

  16. This is what Wild Sheep Sports (who even came up with that bloody name? They need to be sacked) is relying on to gain majority control. If and when the Society can't increase income to meet the conditions imposed by the executive board and Barmack, I believe it will allow WSS to increase their shareholding. I can't emphasise this enough: We need absolute clarity on what happens if the Society can't meet these financial obligations under the proposed deal. Under the proposed deal, the Society would be required to run faster than it ever has simply to stand still and not lose ground.

  17. The biggest issue for me is overall control and at first glance this sees Well Society retain that, (which stregthens the rationale for continued member contributions etc) plus additional input and expertise. As ever the devil is in the detail, but this has swayed me from No to Maybe. A big shout out to those who thus far have forensically challenged the initial proposal to get things to this stage.

  18. Certainly more tempting as we are not giving up total control

  19. Looks like they have at least listened to views. The WS still has to write off half the loan from the club but guaranteed ownership at the end of the 6years for that, some will agree that is a reasonable deal, others will still be against it. £30K less for the buyout, is just a little sugar on top of that... or not enough depending which side you are on. Revising this, they have given what most folk wanted, to retain fan ownership. Now its just down to what the Society Members decide, after an updated statement from the WS Board.

  21. Considering some fans believe it worth selling the family silver for £300,000 a year, you have to imagine they'll be willing to drive Theo to the airport themselves if it means we bring in the kind of money being discussed.

  22. The last point in this sentence is a huge factor in my opinion. We may have the money to spend, but two factors come into play in any given transfer window. 1. Are there players available on the open market who justify that increased expenditure on a single individual? 2. Do those players even want to come to Motherwell? For instance, instead of signing four players at the wage we usually offer for a single player, let's say we actually do consider combining those four salaries to buy one player. Just for arguments sake. You'll often find that players commanding the equivalent of four players' wages at our level will attract interest from clubs higher up the hierarchy, who see that combined four-player salary as their standard, single-player salary. Consequently, they are likely to offer far more than we can. In essence, it wouldn't work. It's a very simplistic way of looking at transfer dealings. It’s easy to plan with rough estimates, but the real world is usually far more complicated.

  23. Tbh I don't think Robinson is that bad a signing and if we start the season with Bair, the Serb, Moses and Robinson that looks decent and suggests that we are hopefully switching to two up top. The problem is clearly central defence and centre mid where we seem to be spending money without getting what we need.

  24. It wont be worth much on here mate, the usual folk will be out with their pitchforks giving OUR OWN players pelters before they have even pulled on the training gear as thats how they like to live their life. Makes you wonder why they even support Motherwell, its chronic behaviour
