  1. Most importantly, we need to try and hang on to Fadinger & Longelo this window. They are integral to what we do and would leave holes that are too big to fill this late in the window. They can be next seasons big money sales!

  3. That presser by AJ was brilliant. He set the record straight for the press and the fans. I was one to criticise the starting 11 on Sunday, even though I realised that there were injuries and players that had played a lot of games. However, after AJ presser today, I understand why he started the team that he did. Also, singling out the younger players and the specific criticisms, explaining that their earlier euro performances were good enough to instill confidence, and that he still has confidence in them, will surely help them. I was hugely impressed by AJ's response. He appears to have rral strength and belief in his approach and ability to do the right thing for the players and the club. He is already showing that he'll be a great manager. We all need to put Sunday behind us and give the team and staff our maximum tomorrow. COYW!

  6. If we can consistently increase the quality on the bench and challenging for the bench that will strengthen our squad depth. So over all we end up with a stronger squad of, say, 25. It will also challenge the players who are first choice. Even allowing for injuries, Sunday demonstrated that there is room for improvement. Using your numbers ranking, if a player proves incapable of increasing from 22 then surely we identify a replacement that is capable in time of that rise. And if a player is content to remain at number 22 is that really the mindset we should accept? I don't expect every one of the 25 to immediately be the same quality of those starting. But that should be their objective. We need to see progress. Those players at the 'lower level' must improve over time to keep their place in the production line. If we can fill that production line from within then all the better. In the same way that turnover is seen in the starting eleven, it should be seen in those who are waiting in the wings. It is tough on those that fall by the wayside. I get that. But better they play at a level which matches their ability and/or ambition than finding themselves out of their depth and suffering mentally as well as physically.

  7. Sounds a nightmare for folk in the POD just now. I can imagine when we start "STAND UP AND SING FOR MOTHERWELLLLLLLL", the response is........."We can't.......we're stuck!!"
