  1. The road out of Fir Park is not paved with gold as many have discovered.

  2. Welcome aboard, always good to see or hear anyone taking an interest in our club As for Retro shirts I was in the shop last weekend, the 96-97 white away shirt is currently on sale. There was others in the last couple of years that look to have sold out. I find Ebay always good for the likes of this as well

  3. Hey all. Thanks for the replies. It’s all been super helpful to us especially a e-mail from Dee above. we have been looking loads recently at all things Motherwell and we both can’t wait to go see the match.. luckily I asked him if it’s Hibs or Motherwell and he said Motherwell. 😂 Orbiston Road looks a good place for us to park and as a easy route back up the road past Ravenscraig to the m8.. we are looking forward to going to the Well shop getting a few things as “well” . He will probs be after a new shirt myself I would love a more retro one like the 94-96 away shirt… but doesn’t seem to be in stock from the well shop? Well online from what I can see.. does anybody know if they always get more in or will have to keep an eye out on ebay and such like? Thanks.

  4. Would be great if he can start. Absolutely no question he improves us. I guess it depends on how Alfred sees the midfield going forward. Is there room for Fadinger, Hodge & Oscar in the engine room? Id like to see it given a go. Should make us more difficult to play through. I agree in that line up McGhee seems a natural replacement for Oscar. Kanga for Maswanhise later on unless he is on a hat-trick! 😍

  5. If he’s got an hour in him I’d start him, leaving us the option of bring on McGhee if we want to shore things up or Kanga/Cook if we need to go for it!

  6. I haven't really seen much of Utd this season, so based on that lack of knowledge and insight I'm predicting a win.

  7. Hopefully we’re their bogey team this year.

  8. I think we tend to overrate how good they are, the money being generated by the English clubs especially premership and championship level means they can attract the best players from all over the world. So paying 1 or 2 million for say a player from motherwell is a cheap low cost option for them, so when a better more expensive player is available, some players game time is limited purely on their perceived ability, Turnbull, Hastie, Johnson etc . In the SPL they were first pick starters, in other leagues they are squad players with limited game time only, Lennon miller for example.

  9. Bit of a mixed bag really. Turnbull was doing fine at Celtic until he got injured. He established himself at Cardiff then picked up another bad one and has struggled every since. Max Johnston won a national cup and two league titles after he left us. No idea why he chose the car crash that is Derby County after that, but was another one who was hampered by injury after he had become a regular starter. Miller has been picking up quite a few minutes and made a decent number of starts at Udinese, but the team as a whole has struggled this season. Welsh has been a standout at Swansea. I said last season I thought we had seen peak Watt and peak Just and while I'd have been delighted to keep them it was excellent business cashing in on the pair.

  10. David Turnbull getting 20 mins again for Cardiff and Max Johnston in and out of a struggling Derby side. Maybe we do overrate their chances of reaching the top level.

  12. For me Jake is the only CB we have that really seems to like a tackle and he is probably the best in the air. I thought Moorman was gonna be in that mould, but he really seems to have dropped off from the start of the season. Not sure if thats just a confidence thing or not. JKL looks the most comfortable with the ball at his feet and coming out from the back. Not really seen any evidence of physicality, albeit from a smaller sample size. McGinn certainly adds experience, as would McGhee, but Im not sure either of them are that physical either. I think your previous observations about the defence getting protection from the midfield are probably on point. We didnt seem to need to be that physical last season and that was with a backline of supposed right backs at times. I think if we get the balance of the team better in midfield and get back to controlling games a little better the physical aspect of the game will be less of a issue.

  13. Callum Slattery suspended today after racking up 5 yellow cards in his first 10 league games. Good to see he hasn't changed. We have definitely missed that presence in midfield this season.
