As poor a team as I’ve watched in my 50+ years watching. Painful stuff
The shape of the team is all wrong and has been from the start of the season … … and we still refuse to change it

Can’t believe we’re still in a 4-3-3 formation

Waiting for the sucker punch … … Alan Campbell to get caught in possession 1-0 to Morton … It’s in the stars

So far nowhere near enough urgency from us. We look powderpuff especially up front.
You’ll always be powderpuff up front if there is no supply from the midfield

This 433 formation is never going to work with our personnel. We give up the first two thirds of the pitch when not in possession. When we have the ball our movement is non-existent. Painful to watch this team try to play football.
It hasn’t workeall season so why is it going to work now

Can someone tell the midfield the object of the game is to pass the ball to your own players

Christ folk are carrying on that we are loosing something that can't be replaced. He will and we shall move on,He was fantastic last season this season not so much let's be honest.
Correct … … Going by Saturday’s performance he was the weak link in the back 4

Been following the mighty WELL for close on 65 years and the local derby for me and it always will be is Airdrie
For those on here who have never been to a game at the old Broomfield don’t know what they have missed
A real football stadium and the atmosphere at a New Years game was electric.
Many a time been ambushed by Section B going over the bridge on our way to the away end ……… Magic memories getting waved into them.

I am in the minority in that I like Chris Long. Only because I know there is a very decent player there. He shows it in bursts like 2nd half on Sat. If (a BIG if at that) he screwed the nut and out that performance in every game over 90 minutes he would be some player and sold for a reasonable fee to boot.
I’m with you, there is a player ( and a very good one at our level) in Long. But we’ve got to play him in his right position
As you rightly say in the 2nd half on Saturday he looked a totally different player from that of the 1st half.
WHY …… we went to 2 up front and this is where Long comes into his own ……… how many times since he came here has he been played in a 2 up top ???
Playing as a lone striker or on the wing in a front 3 just does not suit him and he seems to loose interest

I was surprised we let him play on after his initial injury when he clashed with the keeper. I know he's been an important player in recent weeks, but I'd have hooked him at that stage as a precaution.
Don’t think the initial injury played any part on him going off. The St Mirren player landed with all his weight on the back of his Achilles … a total accident but could have severe consequences for Roberts.
Fear the worst for him as he looked in a lot of pain. If it’s a snapped Achilles he’ll be out for a long time. Fingers crossed

Jurys out on the gaffer for me.
The relentless 4-3-3 approach makes us a sitting duck. StM ran us ragged and we're lucky not to be 2 down at half time yesterday.
It took an injury to force a 4-4-2.
Appreciate he's got us to a relative safe position but his lack of adaptive approach concerns me.I think he will prove a good appointment in the long run.
His priority was to keep us in the league … … not there yet but one more result will see us safe
You need exceptional midfield players to play 4-3-3 unfortunately our midfield has been shite all season, unable to pass to our own players, constantly getting caught in possession and don’t track runners.
Notice the difference in Long yesterday when we went to a 2 up top …… Think him and Cole could form a good striking partnership if they were given time.

Feck me Long smiling there.

Football is a funny game …… Never in the game and didn’t look if we could score in a barrel of fannys … … But were 1-0 up
-
This is worse than watching paint dry … … We are murder

Ah well that’s out cup run fucked

I think the boy landed on him and did either Roberts knee or ankle. He looks in some real pain.
Correct guy landed with his full weight on his Achilles total accident

3 upfront is fine … … If you have the midfield to back it up …… Sadly we don’t

Thank fuck he would have hit the roof of the South Stand going by his attempts at trying to pass the ball during the 120 minutes
