we need to make teams work harder to get their goals.

First goal - Lamie was the player we opted to mark the zone and go fo the ball.  Big mistake - he's not aggressive enough. Big Bevis is the man for that job.
Second Goal - Crawford gave his man far too much space.

No harm to either Lamie or Crawford but they're not good enough for SPL.

Plenty of reasons for optimism , hopefully Gallagher, O'Hara and a few of the new boys can get up to speed.

Our manager was a decent right back and the assistant a centre half surly between them they can coach us to defend corner kicks !!!

You can blame the keeper and Gallacher but the ball was originally lost when an excellent pass landed at the feet of Campbell at the other end of the pitch which he controlled and then had it taken off him lose you would sweets of a kid. Someone has kidnapped him and replaced him with a vastly inferior version. Anyway not sure this team has any fight in them.

Agreed all started at their corner flag Wee Al slower than a week in the jail

Alan Campbell has played a lot of football in the last 3.5 years (160 games including international games) which is pretty wild for a 22 year old. He's going to have periods where he goes off the boil, that's just how it goes.

He'll come good again, that said I think he'll move in in the summer as someone will pay the development fee for him. He's earned the chance to earn more than we can pay him so good luck to him.

Think it would be in both parties interest if he moved now.
The club would get more than the development fee.

Alan would hopefully rediscover his form which as others have said has dipped of late.

The boy owes us nothing and if and when he moves on he should go with all our best wishes

For all his faults, which are mainly down to his body language and facial expressions, which I don't have a problem with, Chris Long scored 13 goals in 31 appearances for us last season, that's a goal every 2.38 games, i'd be very interested to see what Alexander can do with him, get him fit, put an arm around him and we could do much much worse, I was pleased when he signed on again, got some turn of pace on him and for some reason I was always confident of him finishing. If he scored up at Ross county first day of the season, things could have much different, he, like most strikers are confidence players.

He looks as though he is a player who just need's an arm around him and a bit of belief, change of manager could do him the world of good.

I loved his goal at hearts, and the second away to Dundee in the cup. A player with plenty of ability, already on the books who maybe shouldn't be written off just yet?

    Agree completely

I think we have got 2 good strikers if we would only play them where they should be played.

I think Robinson got fixated with a front 3 all interchanging and was just to stubborn too admit defeat with it, which eventually cost him his job.

Cole played through the middle in his last 2 games and has scored in each of them (even when he was here last season he was never played as the out and out striker)

As someone said earlier goal scoring is a confidence thing and playing strikers on the wing is one way to knock the confidence right out of them.

I’ve always said there was plenty of quality in the squad, if we’d had a decent summer transfer window we would be top six again, confidence has dropped and that’s cost us points. We’ve just taken a point off a team far and away the best in the league with 15 straight wins and that’s without Carson, Dunn, Donnelly, OHara, Grimshaw, Long, Hastie, who would all be challenging for a place in the team. Carroll back has already started to make a difference and Donnelly would be the same. A lot of the games we’ve played have been fine margins, how many times have we been thrashed outside of the old firm games this season, not often. We’ve  generally had more possession in games along with attempts on goal but can’t put the ball in the net.

We ain’t going to see Dunn in a Motherwell jersey ……… Sorry to say but like Tanner think he’s finished at this level

I'm not expecting a prolific striker to come in but somebody who has a decent enough record would be nice, taking a gamble on someone that rarely scores in the lower english leagues will be a big risk but finances will probably mean that's what we do,we definitely need a bit of luck this transfer window.

Whits your problem Cole is 2 goals in 2 games no to bad
