Thought we did ok, better squad than last year. I think our defence looks good I like Dunne thought he did well.
Big Cedric looks the business lets get him signed for another year.
Was surprised how much Tanner was involved but never really did anything of note but think he will do well.
As already said we need another striker, that's two games Bowman has been clean through and not scored.
I'm not happy we lost but can see some positives

Cadden changed game he was superb
-
Just watched the u20s beat Middlesbrough 3-1 at Dalziel Park, good performance

What Robinson said dosnt make sense, we offered Dembele a contract yet he said Clay balanced the books I think we will fed sign 2 more

Reading into the Blyth story.
I would love the club to bin him but I can't see it happening.
3 high profile EPL players been photographed doing same.
From a fan with young kids this is not what I want them to see players doing so as we are a community club I hope the club take it seriously.

I have no problem at all with Moult comments, I just feel he is under valued.
I read Hibs rejected 1milion for McGinn
For me Moult has been the most consistent player outside Celtic 1st team.
An offer of 250k is an insult we paid 175k for Shaun Mcskimming

Going 3 down to a non league team isn't perfect but not too worried as it just pre season but didn't expect that at least we got a couple back
-
No Carson again not even on bench, hope he isn't injury prone and he has been a gamble
-
Is there many going down 2moro was thinking of going but lunchtime ko is a bit of a pain
-
Robinson said post match last night Carson had picked up a 'strange/weird' injury (can't remember the precise wording' but he has trained and would be involved on Saturday.
He said the strange injury was Alex Fisher and Carson was more for protection issue

Really looking forward to first game of season now, Rangers are there for the taking would be a great start to season
-
I'm thinking 500k is low for Cadden, he has shown great potential, I would expect nothing less than 750k but if he has a good start to season I think he could go for more. I think he is our best youth prospect since Faddy, maybe I would be happier if it wasn't Hearts bidding

Alan Brazil just called us Rangers Reserves on Talksport when talking about fixtures
-
I see Dundee have signed Scott Allan on loan good signing for them would have been decent for us IMO but maybe the players signed will be just as good
-
If you were genuinely expecting us to sign the likes of Stewart and Scougall then you've obviously not been paying much attention to our current financial situation. I mean for fuck sake Greg Stewart will be on at least 5k a week at Birmingham, while we're having to convince the likes of Trevor Carson to turn down more money to stay with Hartlepool in the Conference in order to come here. I've no idea if most of these guys are any good but agree largely with what Melvin said above, you can make a case for all of them and they at least seem to be a bit more convincing than our bargain basement shopping last summer.
Conference reject Clay, Lee sicknote Lucas, Luka Belic(mind him?), fucking Blyth and Bowman with their one goal from open play between them. I think with a few of these signings the club have shown a bit of ambition, it sounds like they've even managed to convince Bigirimana and Fisher to turn down more lucrative offers elsewhere to sign on here. They've also went out and paid a fee for an experienced keeper which is encouraging because it's a problem position we've failed to address for years.
Not knocking anyone like, cause it's nice to dream and I'd love to see players of proven quality like Scougall and Stewart signing up at Fir Park but I'm afraid we ain't got the money to compete for those types of signings and our best hope of getting players of that quality is by unearthing them ourselves like we did with Moult and Johnson or producing them through our own youth system.
I also agree with your points possibly my wording expecting should be changed to hope, think the whole left sided defender would have been better left alone think that added to my negativity
-
In fairness, that might just be more about what you know about the new signings, rather than anything Burrows said.
That's not a dig by the way! I know the square root of fuck all about English fitba. I've spent most of the day with absolutely no idea who £30m Jordan Pickford is.
But the things I've heard from mates who are into the game in England - and, conveniently, a couple who consider themselves Coventry "fans" - are all mostly positive, in particular with reference to Bigirimana who, by all accounts, seems to be a really great coup for us. I'd suggest that's worth getting excited about at least!
Agree with your points Jay I think I was expecting Scougall today but hoping for a signing that would get fans excited they might all turn out to be Louis Moult type signing you never know
-
Slightly underwhelmed with today's business, two midfielders from a relegated club dosnt fill me with hope but will give them a chance.
Some of the names like Scougall and Greg Stewart mentioned and interview with Burrows saying he was excited dosnt seem to come to much, but maybe I'm just being negative

Now that Faddy is away do we think Lasley will get the job or someone else with a bit more experience.
I thought if it was gonna be Lasley it would have be announced yday
-
I always think the club start selling the kits far to late, they should be on sale about now so kids can get them for going on holiday but it's usually late July August before they are on sale

Great memories Lionel wish u all the best, tell Derek Adams he is a prick
-
I think he left at the right time, he was a great servant for the club and Skippy Sunday is in my too 5 well games so thanks for the memories and wish him all the best
-
Best moment in my 28 years going to Motherwell games. The sound of the ball hitting the net will never leave me.
Grateful the cameraman caught my celebrations.
Just watching that still makes me smile I will never tire watching that

He is a luxury player but he is a player nearly every team expect Celtic would probably have in their squad.
He can be frustrating at times but also a game changer and those type are hard to find.
I also think he looks like he has a real good feeling about the club.
So with all of the above what should the club do, go all out to keep him for another year or say thanks and move on.
Whatever happens I have some great memories of him and his goal at Ibrox is one of my favourites.

Heneghan for me was outstanding and I wasn't his biggest fan last year, great performance
