  1. Franny Jeffers, Stevie McMillan (one of the best left backs in my life time)
  2. Brian McClair, Fraser ( I am going to a bigger club, St mirren) Wishart. John Spencer a favourite of John Boyle, NOT! Pat Nevin.
  3. The worrying thing about that photo is what Keith is doing to John.
  4. Christ they are still playing that go west tune from the pet shop boys. The Tannoy is a joke one week you can't hear what the guy is saying and this week you can't even hear yourself think. Does anyone even bother to check these things. It is like banging your head against a brick wall when it comes to all things Motherwell.
  5. Been thinking about the design guys. what about something simple like the claret band/ hoop on our strip. Amber top and bottom with claret in the middle. I reckon that would look the bollocks and easy to set out.
  6. I am predicting a 2-1 victory for the mighty Well! Our name is on the cup this year. Our players will give it everything our suporters will give it everything and we will come back with our heads held high and a trophy for our cabinet. It is going to be a long month waiting for the 21st of May.
  7. We have about 3000 season ticket holders so every season ticket holder will get a ticket. There will probably be 12000 other tickets up for grabs. I reckon the folk wanting a ticket will get one.
  8. They could sell every fourth seat. That way we could stretch out and use the whole stadium;0)
  9. If we had a two tier national stadium they would just close the top tier, so just treat it like that. Close off the top section. I think we both team will be doing well to get 13/14 thousand at hampden. The only reason I can think of why they are doing it this way is so they don't have to open so many food outlets or toilets
  10. My point exactly. Makes the most sense, so the Hampden people do the opposite. I really hope we can take a good support through.
  11. What they should have done is fill the seats in the lower half of the stadium. Simples. That way you are filling more round the pitch and nearer the pitch. The tv cameras could be positioned so they don't go above a certain veiwing point. It ain't exactly rocket science is it? Another semi at easter road would be ok the last time we played in a semi there we won!
  12. Yip good to have the Murph back and that volley with his left was outstanding. Good to see every player giving it their all. Went for Gunning, never put a foot wrong all night. It was a very tough call though.
  13. The club will have your details so should be ok for them to issue you with a new one. Only down side is it will probably cost you about £10. Give them a call 01698 333333
  14. The world of football has changed but most of all the world we live and work in or not work in has changed. A lot of people work shifts or work weekends so getting to the football becomes difficult a season ticket is fine for those who work Monday to Friday. Those who don't will find that whether a season ticket was £125 it probably wouldn't be worth it to them. I have said this before but I always loved the idea of clubs saying ok if we sell 15% more tickets we will reduce all prices by 10% if we don't all prices go up 5%. Actually challenge the fans to set prices.
  15. Why must it be galling for the guys on the trust? Everyone that was interested to meet with Leeann to form this group was asked to put their names forward. If they didn't do that then it ain't anyones fault but their own. I can't comment too much because I don't know enough about what the trusts aims are. I thought it was to get a seat on the board? Everyone has an opinion, who knows what is right what is wrong. You never know this might just be what the trust needs to re-invigorate itself. The trust have known about this group right from the start! It could well be a PR exercise. If it is positive PR I say carry on. If it means lottery funding I say go for it. If they can't acheive anything I say scrap it but let us all be good enough to let them give it a go.
  16. I am sorry that is how you feel. The two guy's I know that are involved have given a lot of their spare time to the Motherwell cause and this group. I am willing to wait and see wait they can bring. I hope they can acheive something positive because all I hear about Motherwell at the moment is all negative bull manure. Mon the Well!
  17. I used to be a member of the trust because I was so worried about our club and what John Boyle had done. A lot of us thought it was fantastic that he was going to make us the third force in scottish football. When it went bellie up the trust was set up so one day someone with the best interests of the club and supporters could be on the board. Things have changed since those administration days and I started to trust John Boyle again. So I no longer feel there is a need to have the trust push for having a member on the board so I am no longer a member. The way the club is being run at the moment is far better than it used to be, not perfect but better. If this group manage to acheive even a small improvement to the service and communication from the club then let them have a go. If they acheive nothing I will be the first one asking them to give it up but on the same token if the people at the club are running things well enough why should there be any need for the trust wanting involvement in the board room. The trust has done some great work with their fund raising, this group may be able to add to that.
  18. You are probably right with those words of wisdom, but lets give them a chance. If it turns out to be a waste of time scrap the whole idea. Got to admit though I do know a couple of the guys who volenteered for this and they are diehard Motherwell season ticket holders and really decent guys but then I would say that because I know them. Let them know your thoughts/ideas the e-mail address is on the statement.
  19. I have to agree. Keep the number of teams the same. Under 21 league that teams can play three over aged players in each game. More teams relegated and promoted. The split is ok. Under 12s into games for nothing when with a parent or guardian. 13 to 17 year olds £5 pounds each.
  20. I am sure it costs us the same every season because we need to dig the feckin thing up every season.
  21. Keep the 12 team league. 3 down, three up, each season. That would make both leagues more interesting.
  22. There are two main things wrong with our league Rangers and Celtic winning it all the time and only one team being relegated. Give Dunfermline, Falkirk, Dundee, Morton and other more of a chance to get back into the top league. If you get relegated you have a 10% chance of getting promoted. Promote 3 teams and all of a sudden you start the season with a 30% chance of promotion. You will have six or seven teams fighting for promotion for most of the season instead of two or three. Like wise if you had three teams being relegated I am damn sure teams from 7th down would be trying a lot harder to get points off of the old firm. Before changing to a ten team league I would give this a go first.
  23. Yes I know that. And it does not sit well with me. But I have to stick by my team. Just the way I am. The SPL ( that includeds all members ) have got a serious problem on their hands because there are not enough fans that won't walk away for this to work. They are pushing fans away. No fans, No football. I have said it before but the Old Firm want Scottish Football to die so they can go to the English and say can we come and play in your play ground. Celtic are trying their best to get out now by saying they are getting cheated every week. They will go crying to UEFA soon. Just wait and see.
  24. 4th look at our pitches. They are a disgrace. Just watched the English highlights then watched the Scottish highlights. They are playing on bowling greens so they can actual stay on their feet and pass a ball. Our players fall on their arses every two seconds and couldn't pass water never mind a football.
