  1. I was talking about Lawleff. Offiong has the first touch of an elephant rapist.
  2. I saw him play a few weeks back, sitting in behind the forwards, and done really well. Great link up play, great touch and got on the scoresheet.
  3. That's all well and good, but you're meant to strengthen during the summer, not replace one and hope the kids can replace the rest.
  4. I don't think it's anything to do with it being 'leaked'. If his agent can't get clubs interested without the press, then he's a shit agent.
  5. Leven isn't any better than we've got. He done well at MK Dons, doing pretty average at Oxford right now.
  6. But Dazzer goes to every Coventry game home and away, so you all must be wrong. Fucking melt.
  7. Sure? I thought only emergency loans (keepers under extreme circumstances) were allowed?
  8. BBC get their tables (and players names etc) from the AP's database. The reason we had Maguire in our team instead of McGarry, and Lawleff.
  9. Unless I'm reading this wrong, that can't be correct. Are you saying we got more from the sell on clause than the original £1.3m sale? He went to Birmingham for £5m, meaning we must have had over 20% of a sell on clause. I can't see that happening.
  10. It does make it difficult. Infact even when I had the chance I went to see Partick.
  11. 1 game wonder? What one game in the 50 he was outstanding for and got into the League 2 Team of the Year last season are you referring to?
  12. You could compare that to what he was saying about him last season, model pro and one of the best players in the league. Doesn't take much for Di Canio to turn round on a player and force him out. It'll be his downfall when he's at a bigger club. Think he's off to Birmingham. So definitely not good enough for us...
  13. An injured Saunders is our only fullback with experience no? Last time I cared, Tom Hateley was in midfield. And he's better than what we've got, that is for sure.
  14. Paul Caddis is being forced out of Swindon, a few clubs in Scotland looking to take him on loan. Would be nice if one was us, but I'm guessing we're not involved.
  15. Jennings picked up a knock in pre-season and was rested. Will might be rested tonight aswell.
  16. I think it's a bit of a ticket seller tbh. A lot of folk get carried away, especially when the press have it down as "McFadden set to be offered a deal" when actually McCall said he'll just sit down and talk to him. That conversation could last about 4 seconds, but the fact it's happening will shift a few more tickets. It shows "ambition".
  17. You say that but I was watching top end League 2 football last season that was of a consistently higher standard than I've seen at Fir Park. Bigger attendances, no dogshite remixes and more money kicking about.
  18. Here's how some Coventry fans reckon they'll line up. Please note these people are much more qualified to judge how he will fit into their team. If you do feel that you are better qualified, being an all knowing fountain of knowledge regarding the English League 1, feel free to reply.
  19. No. He'll be straight into Cov's first XI I'd imagine.
  20. Fleetwood are this year's Crawley. A lot of money on the gamble that they can climb the leagues. Saying that, Cov fans seem pretty confident that he's signing today.
  21. So those who's opinion of him differs from yours are 'muppets'? You seem like a reasonable, tolerant chap.
  22. This is the main point. A decent striker would have double the goals he scored with the same number of chances.
  23. Where is this injury and Rangers chat coming from? He's playing for Coventry in a friendly against Port Vale today. I'll do something radical for this place and put up a source - http://www.ccfc.co.u...96758.aspx City boss Andy Thorn has named two sides for the Sky Blues' penultimate pre-season friendly clash with Port Vale at Vale Park. Thorn starts the first half with Joe Murphy in goal for the Sky Blues behind a back four of Jordan Clarke, Richard Wood, Reece Brown and Kevin Kilbane. City will play four across the pitch in diamond with new signing Adam Barton and Carl Baker on the flanks, Billy Daniels in a holding role with Gary McSheffrey playing behind front two Callum Ball and Stephen Elliott Elliott who makes his first start for City since injuring his shoulder in the Sky Blues' friendly 8-0 win over Hinckley Utd. The second half will see Murphy retain his place in goal behind a back four of Joe Pegg, William Edjenguele, Kevin Malaga and Joe Henderson. Trialist Steven Jennings takes up the midfield holding role, flanked by Roy O'Donovan and Will Roberts with Cody McDonald partnering second trialist Peter Poloskei upfront. Teams First Half CoventryCity: Murphy, Clarke, Brown, Wood, Kilbane, Daniels, Baker, Barton, McSheffrey, Ball, Elliott PortVale: Neal, Yates, McCombe, Artell, Loft, Dodds, Purcell, Williamson, Morsy, Williams, Murphy Second Half CoventryCity: Murphy, Pegg, Edjenguele, Malaga, Henderson, Jennings, O'Donovan, Roberts, Jeffers, McDonald, Poloskei PortVale: Johnson, Owen, Loft, Lloyd, Burge, Pope, Vincent, Shuker, James, McDonald, Davis
  24. Why has the official site got the KO time as 21.45? I'm guessing anyone over there will have a slight idea what time kick off is.
  25. That was embarrassing. I take it the guy who's in control is mixing this shite and reckons he's some sort of worldclass DJ?
