I don't see how we are short defensively, Tait and Dunne were both unused subs on Saturday and Donnelly can provide cover there if really needed. A tiny bit disappointed we didn't sign a striker but as mentioned above we've got lots of options as it is and guys getting fitter etc. I think we can be happy with the business we did, and look to challenge for top six!

Having just seen his goal, I didn't think Seedorf would ever be capable of scoring a goal like that. Driving at his man, skipping away from him at pace and then lashing it in from 20 odd yards. The very next clip in the highlights he skins his man again and basically put it on a plate for Scott. He had an absolute mare against Hearts, but it's clear that there's a player in there for sure. Hopefully he has a bit of confidence behind him now and kicks on! Also even though it's not shown in the highlights, the Hylton non penalty decision was a fuckin shocker. If we had gone on to not win the game we would all be fuming with it. Hopefully the BBC put it on their highlights so we can get another look at it. A tough fixture at Tynecastle after the break, but then three very winnable fixtures. Early season optimism in full flow again.

I only saw the second half on a stream on my phone in the pub but I thought we looked good. Very impressed with Hartley since his return, the "seige mentality" at 1-0 for much of the second half seemed to suit him well. I feel for Scott if he wants to play through the middle but he's looked good on the wing and he's the only wide man that can beat a man so far this season. He's done very well there. International break coming at the wrong time for us unfortunately, but the league table looks pretty good just now. Lost only once to Celtic!

I noticed Paul Lawson on the bench for Formartine today, didn't know he was still playing.

I thought we played quite well, but felt a tiny bit disappointed we didn't find a bit more intensity after the 3rd goal and properly spank them, they simply weren't in the game. I thought the midfield 3 played well, really rate Polworth. Also Long did well up top and Scott played well on the wing, he actually got past his man once or twice unlike Seedorf and Hylton, although I think Hylton struggled to get used to the pitch when he came on. Seedorf is genuinely awful though, he should be taught to hit his man at pace, knock the ball one way and sprint the other, coz he's fuckin rapid. He keeps slowing down and stuttering and then gets tackled. I can't see him making it at this level. Pleased for Hartley, it can't be fun being on the sidelines as club captain, will need to see him against a proper team to see if he is worthy of a permanent spot in the team. I was very suprised Robinson picked him, Livingstone seems to be well out the picture in my opinion. Anyone know why Tait missed it?

This is tragic. Hylton looks absolutely terrified after being roasted by half his own team and the entire East stand. Tait partly to blame for the goal, the man had that much space THREE times, he's got to get Hylton told after the first time. Also get Carson back in ASAP, Gillespie a great shot stopper but nothing more.
