  1. Can't answer that, sorry. But, by the letter of the law, should refs be sending all these players off? It appears so. Obviously it's a fucking ridiculous rule, but it IS still a rule. Jennings has come out and admitted calling the ref a cheat and swearing at him. You believe wrong; he's admitted using foul and abusive language and therefore there is no point in appealing. You don't shoot somebody, admit it to the police and then appeal it when you get the jail.

Thought the bet was for any player at all, regardless of which team? Could be wrong.
  3. In theory, it would appear so! Can I also just say that I 100% agree with you, it's fucking ridiculous that he's been sent off for swearin at the ref, but I'm just defendin the ref, who has, in my opinion, been unfairly criticised for what I thought was a decent performance.
  4. Difference is am fuckin right! I don't come on and say "aww the ref clearly should've booked him" when it's in the fucking rules saying it's a straight red.
  5. If you're talking about Jennings then I'm sorry but you're wrong; as somebody has ALREADY POSTED, the offence for the crime of 'foul and abusive language' (swearing at the ref and calling him a cheat fits the bill) is a straight red. Yet another example of the zillions of expert referees we have on here.
  6. Well what's your reasoning behind thinking the ref is lying?
  7. BB, can't argue with that at all; ref should be hammered if it's the case.
  8. Sorry but I don't agree. The ref has said it was for 'foul and abusive language', and I've no reason not to beileve him, no matter how 'the pictures look'.
  9. 1) As somebody has already posted, foul and abusive language merits a straight red, whether the player has been booked or not. 2) Jennings has come out publicly and said he swore at the ref and told him to stop cheating us, so your conspiracy of the referee sending Jennings off for no reason and then lying about it to "fit his story" is tosh.
  10. Not gonna bother reading through the 10 pages but my take on last night: Randolph was solid throughout. Not sure who was to blame for the goal (the bit on the line anyway) but other than that he did a fine job. Hateley was good at left back, he mirrored Hammell; gave us an out ball and got forward when he could. Craigan was okay (a couple of sublime passes!) but my god Mark Reynolds was woeful last night. At fault for the first goal and just generally poor. The chance Hearts had in the 1st half, Reynolds just lets the boy waltz by him to get to the cross first. Really poor performance IMO. I thought Lasley was excellent last night. Normally I think he's overrated but he was great last night, took his goal really well too. Jennings was solid as well. Murphy didn't do all that much IMO but worked hard throughout. Humphrey on the other hand was dire. The one time he beat his man he went back and tried to do it again. Thought he was really really poor last night. Gow was superb. Aye he gives the ball away lots, but he's the only player in our team that can create anything through the middle. Just look at his assist. I think Blackman's a class player, but again I thought he was shocking last night. His first touch was abysmal and did nothing all night. All in all a frustrating performance. The quality is certainly there, but Hearts were too good for us defensively.

No I'm not half daft, and I'm not kidding on. Your first point, aye, probably, Kyle should've been booked. The difference I think (which doesn't make it right) is that Kyle was shouting at the linesman from 30 yards away, and Blackman was shouting at the ref from 2 inches away. As for Blackman, are you saying that he should not have been booked for dissent? If you are then I'm sorry but you're fucking mental. Blackman was screaming and balling at the ref and, whether Blackman is right or not, that is dissent. Blackman was rightly booked. Whether you agree with my opinion or not, I have a right to post as much as you do. In my opinion, all my comments are spot on. what!?

Tried to post this about 2 hours ago but my internet fucked up... Tin had on firmly here, but, I thought the ref was having a great game until the sending off last night. As Tweed (I think) said earlier, he wasn't watching when we took the free kick and therefore didn't see what happened. Fair doos he should've been watching the ball, but it's hardly fuck up of the century. As for the sending off, well yeah, I thought that was incredibly bizarre. Having said that, you, me or anybody else has no idea what was said between Jennings & the ref. If it was for Jennings tapping him on the shoulder then aye it's a shocker of a decision, and if it's for dissent then should it not have been a yellow? Think he was booked anyway so woulda been sent off regardless. The penalty decision he got right, it was a clear pen, and the replays showed that. The 2nd one I can't say for sure if it was/wasn't a free kick/penalty. My laptop froze for a minute or 2 during the replays, but from what I saw initially, it looked a penalty. As for people bemoaning his consistency, I thought he was firm but fair for both teams. I don't think he gave Hearts more free kicks than us or vice versa, and I thought most, if not all of his calls were spot on regarding free kicks, corners etc. One or two have said that they think the Hearts players were diving about last night, I genuinely don't recall one single dive all match. One thing that annoys me is people who come on here after a game and act as if they're Andy fucking Gray. "The referee got basic decisions wrong" etc etc. I'm sorry but from where you're sitting in the stand (with your C&A specs on), things are going to look completely different from the referee who's 10 yards away. Not only that but any decision against Motherwell to some is a wrong decision. One thing that annoys me more is the hypocrites who have the cheek to get all high and mighty when Celtic complain to the SFL etc about refs getting things wrong and laugh at them as if they're idiots. Those people then come on here after the game and say stuff like "That ref should be banned for life!" or "We should complain to the SFL about him!" or "He should never referee a match again!" etc. Absolute bollocks (in my opinion). The ref was more than adequate last night (barring a few mistakes) and we have no right to slag off Celtic for their conduct and then come on here and do the exact same thing! One thing that annoys me the most, the fucking MOST, is idiots, absolute idiots, who come on here and say "I won't even care if I don't see another game this year because that referee was rubbish." Have a fucking word with yourself! Not only are you completely and utterly wrong about the ref (in my opinion) but I'd give ma right arm (maybe not but you know what I mean) to see Motherwell week in week out! Deciding that you 'might not go back ever' because of a referee who was fucking fine last night is downright ridiculous! I challenge anybody to show me with actual evidence how the ref was 'shocking', 'awful' or (and I fucking hate when people use this term) 'a disgrace'. Bear in mind that I have said the free kick incident, the 2nd pen claim and the sending off are maybe not correct decisions. I'm annoyed at the result last night. I'm even more annoyed to come on here today and see 3 page threads like this of absolute tosh. Tin hat firmly on, and I don't think anyone will agree with me, but it's just how I feel.
  13. Who caaaaaares what the media say about us?! Ask any Celtic, Rangers, Hibs, Hearts, whatever-team-you-want fan if they remember the last time we were reported in the press for calling McGhee a paedo and I guarantee they won't remember it. If they do they'd probably laugh and say "Aww aye!" Hope yous all get torn right in to him. As for this.... ... made me laugh like fuck!

Aw fuck sake just when you think things couldn't get any worse!
  15. ...that would take Mark McGhee back? And don't reply with 'yes', it's a serious question. Would anyone else take him back?
  16. Chris Hughton outwith our chances?
  17. Fair shat myself when I saw this had 3 extra pages in the space of 12 hours!
  18. Agree with Big Stall, Forbes was fucking immense in the Europa League games last year.
  19. I'd take him purely because he's the spit of Limmy
  20. It's on the BBC website that the games will go ahead as we've secured ref's from other countries!
  21. On the subject of missed pens, Murphy's against Odense was really hard to take. I was convinced with a few minutes to go and they had 9 men we'd go on and beat them if we scored it. Was unbelievably gutted when he missed.

Would I be right in saying the gate money is split 50 / 50 for cup ties?
