  1. It's all really strange. We've been playing bad but really it could also be looked at that we are one win away from 7th place. There are hugely experienced players in the team, hammell, McManus, Lesley, Sutton so I find it weird all the talk of such low confidence. Even in the best days a draw at Celtic park would have been viewed as really good. For me McCall needs to pick his 11, and try and stick with it for 6 games and see where it takes us. Expectation on the fans part needs to be more reasonable. We were always going to have a poor season at some point and everyone knew it. Just seems now it's happened that disbelief has set in. We as a a club struggling to get 4000 through the gates have no right to be expecting 2nd place finishes every year or even top 6 for that matter.
  2. Agree with everything you've just said

    Josh Law Vs Faddy

Faddy was once a great footballer. Josh Law will never be a great footballer.
  4. You'd spot on, particularly point A. The number of decent players we've lost the past few seasons compared to fees paid to us is staggering. Other clubs manage to get fees, particularly Dundee United. Letting good players contracts run out even at the top end of football is seen as unacceptable.
  5. Yeah if the game was about solely heading the ball.
  6. I'd only play him as the total last resort regardless of wages. At present we don't look like scoring in a brothel, the last thing we need is a defender that any attacker in the spl can beat for pace. People can talk about experience all they want but the guys legs are a liability.
  7. Ten men behind the ball, give them no space and hope we can nick something.
  8. If the future of the club is youth, which given our finances I'm assuming it is, we'd do worse than get Billy Reid. No idea if he's even still alive granted.
  9. This u20 league in my opinion is nonsense. If aged 17, 18, 19 your good enough or not. If your good enough you get in the first team squad or get on loan for a full season of senior football against experienced players. If your not good enough you go and get a job.
  10. Having to pay for a kid in a 30% full stadium is shocking. I was £9 for my 7year old today in the east to watch that. No wonder attendances are pitiful all over Scotland.
  11. I'm someone generally supportive of McCall, but I'm starting to have doubts. Unfortunately today we seen the product of a club with one clear direction and that is Hamilton's policy of youth first. I remember going to ndp a few years back with a mate and saw a lot of those boys aged 16 getting a run in the first team. Now a few seasons on they are wise to first team football. We have had boys dive about in the kids league and now they've been thrown in and we don't know whether they are up to the job or not. What is it we are after? If it's youth, I've yet to see anything in that group which makes me think they will do anything. On current form they wouldn't get near a 3rd division team. Performances today were horrendous. ZFA has something but can only stay switched on for 15 mins. We have nothing in midfield at all. NOTHING. I got excited by ojamma coming back and that was wasted. He is a million miles from that legia team that ripped Celtic apart. As I say I've supported McCall before however if as someone says he's in two days a week, he should resign immediately. That's unacceptable in my book.
  12. I'd be delighted with an ugly, ugly scoring draw.
  13. Yes. I can see fans of other clubs wanting this too. Season tickets were great when games were always played Saturday 3pm, but we all know they get changed with no thought to the paying punter. Personally I think the 10 game one is perfect. I wouldn't buy a season ticket, but would happily hand over cash in advance for ten games. Others may do the same for five. It may be a way of getting casual fans who are over charged at the gate to commit to a few games each season, and that for me is a positive note. The five game ticket would be a cracking Xmas gift for a casual punter.
  14. This idea suits me perfectly. Result.
  15. There's clearly numerous things going on which haven't helped us.1. Letting too many players contracts run out and receiving no fee. 2. Poor cup performances 3. Poor European performances.4. I sat for the first time at the Inverness game at their 110 travelling fans thinking we need rangers back next year. Realise folk will have their knickers in a twist at that, however 8000 fans twice a season paying versus 110. Doesn't take a high IQ to see money lost. That's not even mentioning Hibs and Hearts travelling fans. 5. All above means we have no money to put into squad meaning folk don't want season tickets as product becomes poorer. 6. PATG prices are too high. A day for me and my son costs over £30 nearly £40 when you consider drinks pies etc to see guys unable to pass from a to b at times. This point is prevalent at every spl team unfortunately. It doesn't endear casual fans to come along.
  16. My point was more at highlighting that successful managers will use this as a way of keeping things fresh. I doubt at Man Utd (under fergie anyway) that garbage coaches were employed in the first place. Its simply the point that at times it does no harm for players to hear a different message and perform some different tasks.
  17. One of the main attributes Alex Ferguson had was being able to mix it up behind the scenes in terms of assistant managers and coaches. I certainly wouldn't want McCall to leave the club but I don't think it would do us any harm bringing in a new face with some fresh ideas to help.
  18. The way forward for us all is simple really... Trust the manager and support the guys he puts on the pitch. Three sleeps on from Saturday I'm able to get over the frustrations of this player or that formation. The truth is we have a manager that most clubs would be happy to have, and yes the club is going through a sticky patch, but at the end of the day McCall knows his resources better than all of us and I'm sure his understanding of the game is too most the time.
  19. 1. We couldn't play a different system on Saturday either. Vigurs is worth a start. I'd rather him than Ainsworth in a starting 11. 2. simply saying it is not us is not a reason to try different systems. Lots of teams try different systems. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It certainly is not working at present. 3. My reason for suggesting it is Kerr and McManus were in my opinion the only positives from the start of the season. adding O'Brien who on the face of it should be half decent at SPL level would at least allow us to have added protection at the back and give the wider players some freedom to move forward knowing that there is sufficient cover. Granted we may not have the best options down the left till Hammell or ZFA come back but that phiosophy didn't stop LVG playing Ashley Young in the same position. The purpose of a wing back is mainly to try and support the already existing defence and holding midfielder and attacking players.
  20. Would like to see us try something like this... Twardzik Kerr McManus O`Brien Carswell Reid Law. Leitch. Viguirs Ojamma. Erwin
  21. Agree totally Punk. To talk of punting a boy after one performance when for me he was led like a lamb to the slaughter by his team mates at times is just ridiculous. I would agree though that McHugh and Cummins leaving wouldn't bother me in the slightest.
  22. The way Ferguson was left exposed at times was criminal. Even worse though was when Ferguson had the ball none of our players looked interested in receiving it. I like Lasley but a captain has to be doing more verbally when there are so many kids playing, especially one making his debut.
  23. My point was... 110 away fans paying in, isn't exactly helping our financial woes.
  24. 110 away fans today also. Not exactly doing our finances much good. Might not be the end of the world to have Rangers and either Hearts or Hibs back next year.
