Ticket was purchased 2 days ago , but maybe just me but I have no idea where I am sitting , apart from the away section obviously

No mention of a row or seat number , anyone else the same ?

I think last year you could just sit wherever you wanted. No designated row or seat on.

  2. I'm going to be on holiday in Spain. I know the game is going to be live on the Premier Sports streaming service, as opposed to the "proper" Premier Sports channel.

This could be a long shot, but what are the prospects of a bar being able to show the game?

Eseosa Sule set for Motherwell loan

Motherwell are set to snap up West Brom striker Eseosa Sule on loan.

The 19-year-old Scot will seal a deal at Fir Park until the end of the season.

Sule - who moved to The Hawthorns from Celtic - excelled for the Baggies in PL2 last term.

He’s just signed a long-term contract at the Championship club.

And new Well gaffer Jens Berthel Askou has beaten off competition to land the front-man.

Sule, who is eligible for Scotland and Nigeria, will add firepower to the Steelmen’s attack as the Danish boss prepares for his first Premiership campaign.

The teenager was being chased by the likes of Lyon and Newcastle before committing his future to West Brom this summer.

Towards the end of last season, he scored nine goals in 11 games in PL2.

The Glaswegian left Parkhead in 2023 for the Midlands before progressing through the ranks.

And now Sule will hope to kick on in Scotland’s top flight for Well.

    Askou wants 'aggressive not passive'

New Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou wants his players to be "aggressive".

Former IFK Gothenburg boss Askou, 42, has replaced Michael Wimmer in the Fir Park dugout and his first games in charge will be in next month's League Cup first-round group stage.

Well will play Clyde, Peterhead, Stenhousemuir and Greenock Morton. Askou's first Scottish Premiership fixtures will be in early August.

"I'm here to make [the players'] dreams come true," said the Dane.

"I have to push them every day and teach them that they can actually do more than they think they can do. I think that's my most important job."

And he added: "Managing style-wise, I believe in being aggressive, I believe in attacking. We attack the opponent if we have the ball or if we don't have the ball.

"I don't like passive football. I believe in taking the initiative and I want my players to express themselves on the pitch, to show some joy, some passion and respect for the game."

Askou cited "the passion about football from the supporters" from his spell as a player with Norwich City from 2009-11 as he prepared to return to the UK.

"The passion also from the players, I really thrived on that because I am also very passionate about football and winning," he explained.

"I really hope to experience that again as a manager and a coach. That's something I work on, being good enough to go there and see what I can do with a British team."

  5. The draw for the group stage is 1pm tomorrow, and details of the pots have been announced.

I think in previous years, the Pot 1 teams have been home to the pot 2 and 4 teams, and away to the pot 3 and 5 teams.

Wimmer says son's face 'was beaming with joy' after Well exit

Michael Wimmer has moved close to his Bavarian roots from Motherwell

Michael Wimmer says his son's face "was beaming with joy" when he decided to leave Motherwell and return to Germany as Jahn Regensburg head coach having made family "my top priority".

The 44-year-old shocked the Scottish Premiership club by exiting after only 12 games in charge.

Motherwell "very reluctantly negotiated a compensation package" with the German club after Wimmer cited "major family issues" for his desire to leave.

Wimmer expressed himself "thrilled" and "excited" to join the club relegated to Germany's third tier on a contract until 2027.

"My family is, of course, very happy too," he told his new club's website. "Things have now developed to the point where I would like to return to Germany.

"The fact that it has now become so close to home is, of course, fantastic. When it was finally finalised on Friday, my son was beaming with joy – the look on his face is incomparable.

"That convinced me once again that it was the perfect decision."

Wimmer had taken over at Fir Park from Stuart Kettlewell, who has this week been named Kilmarnock manager, and steered Motherwell clear of relegation.

"I had a fantastic time in Scotland, sportingly speaking," he said. "With four games to go, we retained the league place and were able to beat Glasgow Rangers at the famous Ibrox Stadium.

"Besides sport, family is also a part of my life. They are my top priority."

Jahn sports director Achim Beierlorzer revealed that he knew Wimmer before he "reconnected" with him after the club decided they needed "a fresh start" under a new head coach.

He said it was "an additional positive" that Wimmer was from the Eastern Bavarian region and therefore knew the club well.

Wimmer was speaking as Motherwell announced the signing of Austrian midfielder Lukas Fadinger after the 24-year-old left Rheindorf Altach in his country's top flight.

Fadinger, who has signed a two-year contract, told the Premiership club's website that negotiations had been ongoing "for a couple of months".

Having started his career with Sturm Graz, he had a spell with Lafnitz in the second tier before returning to the top flight with Hartberg then two seasons with Rheindorf.

Fadinger made 61 appearances overall - 26 last season, 13 of them starts, as they narrowly avoided relegation having finished bottom at the end of the regular season before overtaking Austria Klagenfurt after the league split.

I'm hoping there was a good second choice a few months ago then they may still be available.

I liked the sound of the former Preston manager who was in the running last time. Not sure if he is still available, or if indeed he would still be interested.
