  1. For SPL guidlines or for when the old firm come? Fuck all chance a filling it otherwise. Not really my point am not meaning to pick on that but i think the rest of your post is a great idea if possible and good from a business and community point of view. Would love to see something like that in place

    Russell Rodger

Very sad, had a lot of time for the man and spent many a long hour in his office moaning - never once was he anything other than patient. Probably to nice a guy acctually but i mean that in the best possible way. Thoughts,as always, go to those who loved him the most. cheers
  3. Noone is harder on Motherwell than i've been with regards to what 'should' have happened when motherwell were in administration. The thing that has riled everyone the most is that a club who cannot afford to pay that sum of money seem to be able to spend a fortune on a new wage.
  4. It doesnt matter who it is if you owe someone money then you need to pay....simple. It's hardly a great deal of money either is it? About a months wages for Bellend!! It's acctually a disgrace and something i had no idea about until i seen it on the news(well, the overall details i mean). On a plud point i thought i was putting on weight recently - then i seen 'flow
  5. Mark Reynolds is a 'decent wee player'. Today he had a bit of a shiter but even the greats have a shiter now and again. There are those out there who still go on about reynolds 'potential' etc. In my opinion Reynolds has reached about as good a level as he is going to in his career - unless of course he get's some sort of move to a bigger club playing alongside better players however in this current financial climate i think that boat has also sailed for Reynolds for the forseable future unless you want to include midtable championship sides as a 'step-up'. There are those who say he deserves an international chance if people like Broadfoot etc get one - they might be right, mayby he does deserve a wee chance but the outcome would be the same, he simply wouldn't be good enough in my view. On the flipside, reynolds will cosistantly put in decent performances for motherwell all season. One shite game means virtually nothing if it's followed by a blinder in the next game.He is the best player for his position that motherwell have - or will have for the forseable future and will therefore not lose his place in the team, certainly not to a youngster who's shown a bit of promise, not unless he is injured anyway........... basically..if ye don't like it,lump it because the wee ginger dude is there to stay and this will ALL be forgotton about in a weeks time.
  6. worked nae bother for me aswell

    Spl Table

1 Rangers - I can see rangers winning the league again with comfort. Celtic have signed a lot of new players from the unknown. Rangers have lost boyd but beattie should replace most of them and unless rangers suffer a major injury crisis their first team is still head and shoulders above everyone else in the league. 2 Celtic - Signed the unknown and with an inexperienced manager this could all go very very pear shaped again.Expensive season. 3.Dundee United - Still stronger than anyone else and will quite easily finish third. 12. Kilmarnock - Poor.... The rest of the league is very much a lottery with anyone breaking into the top six. I doubt there will be many points seperating 4th and 9th but i fancy Motherwell to do well and hopefully clinch forth place. There are some exciting young players at the club with obvious ability but more importantly the two men at the helm have been there and seen it all far to many times to lose many games.
  8. If he had then spelling would have been the very least of his worries.....
  9. aye congrats and all the best. Just goes to prove that with a little luck and a lot of booze even the ugliest of folk can get their hole.......
  10. Its hard to blame the Celtic fans for not going along tonight. They're an embarassment and have been all season why bother going along on a tuesday night for that pish...especially when they probably fear a skelping again tonight. On another note, i hope Motherwell do hump them tonight and dundee united beat rangers tommorrow aswell - just to see Celtic finishing the season in a nice respectable third position.
  11. I don't post on here very often, and what i have to say is absolutely fuck all to do with Ruddy and rangers but i just felt it needed to be said. There is a LOT of people this here site who go on and on about the old firm and sectarianism - yet, feel it very acceptable to use terms like, bead rattler, h*n, orange B, tims, blah blah fecking etc. Personally,i don't really care - never have and never will. However, if your willing to use these terms don't get on the high horse and complain about the old firm using sectarian language because afterall....that's what those terms are classed as. No wanting to step on anyones dinner or anything,as i say......personally you can say what you want in my opinion, but it is a fact that there is a lot of those references used on this site by people time after time. Anyway, on the subject - ruddy to Rangers......personally don't see it happening but in Scotland it would be no surprise if it did!
  12. I don't usually voice my opinion on what anyone wants to sing but it's pish patter, by al means continue a won't lose sleep but it's pretty pish. Now before anyone goes all defensive, noones saying everything that ye do is pish - and you get praise where praise is deserved, but even the Beatles got pelted for some pish songs over the years.... It's got Nazi connotations, and like it or not....that will get you tarred with the same brush as Celtic fans singing songs with Irish 'connotations' or rangers fans with 'whatever they are connotations'. People in this country gave there lifes,a lot of them....against the Nazi regime (your grandparents etc too am sure) and no matter how INNOCENT it is ment, they won't always see it that way.....Ye can argue to the cows come home about how thats more 'their problem than ours' but these people will MAKE it your problem and believe me you don't want associated wie shite for to long because people start to think you stink. Enjoy.
  13. Craig brown on the radio saying Motherwell should have won and he's happy with the performance. He seems happy and he sounds....like....he's enjoying it. Classic line though, "we have a few players hurt at the moment" - never in my life heard that quality. Gave the fans a good mention too saying they were superb etc. Hinting towards that he might bring in a few players 'potential world cup player' Also hinting towards staying longer.
  14. Well.....we didnt do a dundee united. A know what your saying ma only point would be that at least it looked like goals could come rather than being a complete mess. See what happens all a would say is that a would be more confident going into saturday than what could have happened.
  15. ....apparently Kris boyd can sorry, couldny resist
  16. spot on exactly what i was just saying there the performance was going to be pivotal tonight... if only we could get a bloody goal, think there are all on the west coast tonight.
  17. Awk it was by the by convo forget it other matches always get a wee mention on match threads don't be getting the knickers in a twist over nothing. Fucking murder, whole lotta effort and nae return - on the flipside, not heard anything to overly worry us about the coming weeks ahead. c'mon...
  18. Livescore says it was whittaker that got the forth??
  19. Half time to get together again and regroup ready for a second half on-slaught a hope. Still time,no need to panic and i think broonie and archie will be telling the lads that at half time.

    Catering

Correct - people do need to hold themself responsible a couldn't agree more. It the same people who fucked up drinking at the football, the same people who fucked up mcdonalds meals, the same people who made getting a good bevvy in the pub difficult to do without getting told 'nae mair' and the same people who will be responsible for every other good things in life that most normal people can get on with taken away from us. It's the blame culture, i know my post would suggest that i agree with that but i dont, i was mearly pointing out how society would be allowed to view this. The problem is that in a world where someone can slide on a wet floor and claim for it because there wasn't a wee yellow sign to warn them that the clearly sodden floor was going to be slippy we have so many precidents for the blame culture that we now live in.

    Catering

In a society with people willing enough to make Mcdonalds incorporate healthy eating on their menu then im afraid a local club, suppost to be working in the community to get kids involved with sport etc really should be serving something better. The truth of the matter is that Motherwell FC (like very other club) tender out their catering services and therefore couldnt give a fuck what is being served in them because they get their £ XXXXX at the start of the season and jobs done as far as they are concerned. The company coming in is purley looking to make as much money out of people as they can in a short space of time so the result is pish sub standard food and service. Again, accept this if you want but don't accept it...buy it...THEN complain about it when you know fine well what is on offer. Noone needs a cup a coffee that badly they go and buy a shite one when they know it's going to be A) Shite and B) expensive, if you do....don't complain about it because you knew what you were getting into. Catering at the football is a disgrace,no doubt about it - and for a country so intent on getting rid of obesity etc they change kids school meals and include healthy options in every walk of lifestyle, but then...randomly decide that football grounds are a different matter reeks to me. Especially when they want kids to go along to the football more often now.....yet want them to come along, eat utter crap...and piss in toilets you wouldn't let ur dug shit in. Some way to treat they kids ain't it? And for the record, personally i'm not on a crusade for healthy food etc a don't really care but im mearly pointing out the stupidity that follows football around sometimes and leaches of the people who religously go week in week out.
  22. People get all carried away wie football managers but lets remember they are employee managers with staff that they are to guide and look after - just like anyone else in a managment position within and business. We probably will never hear the whole truth but i know motherwell football club well enough that somewhere along the line someone somewhere has been very amateurish in their approach to Mr Gannon and Gannons position within the club. John boyle,as far as i am concerned can do what the fuck he likes within Motherwell Football Club and if that includes sacking the manager then so be it. Anyone anywhere can spout about fans being the heartbeat of a club, fans being the lifeblood etc but in my opinion in the eyes of many a club owner fans are mearly the buyers of their product and their source of steady income. Therefore, no matter what jim Gannon was all about and i have my reservations about him as a person, john boyle can more or less have got rid of him for anything he liked especially on the contract that gannon appears to have been on (or not on) at motherwell.
  23. I don't subricribe to the 'wouldnt have it any other way' pish. It's a football stadium yes it's gonna be cold and noones looking for luxury either but when your paying through the fucking nose to watch substandard pish week in week out the very least they could provide you with is a decent place to sit and dare i say it take a pish now and again. And if your gonna be fleeced for a coffee and a burger,at least make the quality acceptable. Anything other than that is just bullshit and a complete failure on the clubs behalf. The same people who don't complain are the same ones who would be irrate at a cold burger in mcdonalds or a slippy floor in the toilet of the restaurant they are in but why not the football? Is it at a stage where because people have some kind of love affair with the team they deserve to get fleeced week in week out for sub standard service?? Certainly seems that way, and i love the fact that people have always complained about certain things within fir park and everytime the club brings in someone whos gonna 'sort it out' every single one of them makes the same fuck ups. The club is run on what appears to be a shoestring budget on and off the field - that i accept but sometimes a little investment in the people who continuously plough money into the club goes a long way. It's great fun though ... ...
  24. Am i the only one who doesn't get this Luc Nijholt wish? Mayby im wide of the mark but the guy doesn't exactly seem to have a massive knowledge of the SPL or Managment as a whole. Would be a risky appointment, especially when the team we have is full of inexperienced players aswell.
