  1. Just read back on the comments from while the game was going on. The amount of complete and utter shite you lot spout is unreal. Don't try and make judgements when you aren't there to see what's going on.

How about the utter shite spouted from the East Stand during the game

  2. A minutes silence is to allow people to REMEMBER the sacrificies that others have made which benefit our country and society today.

A minutes applause does not do this, and is an insult to those who have died and their comrades who survived.

While on our way to a Rememberence Day parade through Glasgow one year we encountered a group of orange men dressed up in their clowns outfits to be greeted by a whole load of loyalist crap which they thought we would back up. Unfortunately most of my battalion were Celtic fans and a small shuffle took place.

All of these Celtic fans then stood in the pouring freezing rain for an hour to show their respects to fallen comrades.

My big problem with Celtic is that they are responding to a small number of bigots, terrorist sympathisers and Irish Nationals who despise everything that the British armed forces stand for. At least none of the Celtic directors have ever been defence secretary or had to send troops to war and see them return home in body bags or their opinion would surely be different !

  3. Following on from the first game topic, who has been a mascot and who did you state as your favorite player ?

Mine was against celtic in Jan 1984 and my player was Andy Harrow. Cracking game that ended 2-2. The match programme stated my interests which included me being interested in the other mascot !

  4. Flag looked good but I couldn't read the writing or see the picture very clearly. Would look brillant on poles in the corner between the cooper and east stand or east stand and south stand.Forgot to take pictures of it I'll do it in the next home game.

  5. Good last 20 minutes. The team only seem to develop some bite when going behind.

The Juke was brilliant, won every other ball that was punted up the park.

    Ruddy's passing was brilliant.

Saunders went off after headering Mehmet instead of the ball in the box. Hope he's ok.

Humphrey is a bit too blinkered.

All in all, considering how well Midden played, a draw was a great result.

Did St Midden give you anything for your half time entertainment slot ?

  6. Tuesday should be a cracker now. However I await the comments from those who were at the game. How did the defence perform? Do you think we will be stronger for Tuesday or will it be more of the same?

Defence was garbage today. We tried passing the ball about at the back too much in the first half and St Mirren had done their homework closing us down quickly. Midfield wanted too long on the ball which led to them being caught in possession too often. On the plus the Boss identified the problems and more importantly changed players, shape and tactics at half time to counter the saints. Was the penalty a penalty the saints players seemed very upset and their fans were on the radio claiming it definately wasn't.

  7. I'll go for Jutkiewicz as well, he got us out of jail today.

Could we have Jim Gannon in future polls. That's at least two matches at half time we have looked dead and buried only to come out second half and improve due to the managers changes.

  8. Was thinking this the other day when the new "international rule" came in - i really rate him as a sitting midfielder and plays with a maturity older than his age. I know he was born abroad but does anyone know if he happened to go to school in scotland for about 5 years when his old man played for Old Scum Blue??

I pretty certain that he went to Lomond School while his dad played for R******.

  9. At Celtic Park you buy a ticket for a seat which has a restricted view or you buy one which doesn't.

So you paid admission into a match which puts money into Rangers and not Motherwell - friendly or competitive match, your dosh went to Rangers - can't you see the double standards in that? A bit hypocritical when your having a go at someone goin wi a free ticket.

Naw ! I went to watch a game of football not support a team. I put a lot of money into Motherwell matches each season which involves supporting my team .

  10. Big difference it was a FRIENDLY match not competitive. So no double standards from me I also applauded Kenny Miller's goal. Difference with restricted view is at Fir Park you have the choice of where to sit, this is not an option at Celtic Park.

  11. Its my sisters wedding tomorrow and a group of her fiances family are Celtic fans. Ive been offered to go along with them and i thought it might be quite nice to go with them, added to the fact it'l save me £25.

I bet you have a great view of the game from up there on your high horse.

So you won't be supporting Motherwell then ?

I'm not on my high horse just sick of the double standards shown by some fans.

I'm assuming that you are more than happy with Celtic fans sitting in the home stands during the next match. These are the incidents that cause trouble.

  12. Again I really can't blame someone sitting in the Celtic end for my points stated already;

    - to be left sitting behind a pillar...

    - to be treated like animals and not move or sing..

Especially if its a free ticket or something, fair play..

Utter garbage ! How many Motherwell fans were up in arms over the old firm getting the Cooper Stand and complained bitterly when celtic fans bought tickets for the Motherwell end on Skippy Sunday. Is this an example of do as we say but not as we do ? Total double standards. How can you possibly SUPPORT your team sitting with the opposition fans.

If you object to being treated as quoted the answer is simple DONT GO.

  13. I've decided to miss only my second game of the season. I'm not giving my hard earned cash to the beggars to have to explain to my 7 year old son what certain songs are about, why their fans deem it neccessary to urinate in the street(male and female), have restricted view and have a chance of getting a kicking. I took him to Ibrox to see Rangers v Man City and was shocked at the behaviour of the Rangers fans, booing Given, singing their songs ,people resisting arrest and finally the abuse my son received for applauding a great Man City goal.

I will be at the Theatre of Dreams for the Man Utd v Bolton game for only £56 for both of us.

Far better value and entertainment for sure.
