Doubt it, St Mirren's current signing policy seems to be "Have you ever bought a baguette from Upper Crust? .... Aye? .... Yer in"
-
Would this be a good time to remind all those interested that there’s a SOL Euro’s fantasy league? Download the official app and it’s free.

She did blame him for all her woe's, must be a thruple, they're very in vogue
-
Ha, well as we had so few it can only be Tony Watt
-
Well he does hold all his UEFA pro licences. ..........

I have confidence in GA and Chris Lucketti's knowledge and contacts to find a few gems here. Bear in mind the club's performance dept (regardless of manager) keep tabs on certain players using stats software and just from seeing them perform. Emphasis will be placed on identified players on how they will adapt to the managers prefered system and style of play. Some high up the list for Robinson may be way down for Alexander. However I'll temper that statement with its probably how we acquired Lawless and gave him 18 months on the books. The only thing that I think puts a spanner in works is GA's stock must be pretty high. Salford promoted and then he was pumped out when seemingly doing OK, 3rd best record in the SPFL since he took over only behind the OF. Therefore if he has been tapped or will be before deadline day he may keep some players to himself to take elsewhere (depending on the level).

Issue here is Andy all of them in theory we can't compete with and outwith our hands. Kelly is contracted to QPR, Cole to a team that just missed out on the Premier League, Campbell wishing to get a decent payday after seeing many of his colleagues from the youth setup move on for decent wedge despite the fact he was one of the most talented. The only one you cite is the centre half, who should have been on the books this summer and a move would have resulted in cash to spend elsewhere.

Almost as predictable as you coming on here to play your broken record on this subject. Why you insist that what transpired is fully legit and all parties are without reproach without written affidavits from all sides and an Mi5 surveillance sting operation is the other side of the coin. What would you need to change these from baseless to believable? The subject has been covered at length in other threads. He agreed on a deal, got a wage increase, changed his mind, tried to engineer a move, renegotiated and contract end date changed. A 10 year old playing Cluedo could put all the clues together for a plausible timeline of events. Essentially his actions meant we lost out on a decent potential transfer fee (however would he have been pursued if it was attached to his signature?). I accept the alternative was having a petulant wean playing centre half till next summer. When it quacks like a duck, floats like a duck, looks like a duck and is called Daffy ...... it's probably a fucking duck.

That statement is doing a disservice to him as a player, his ambition and what potential he has. Didn't see anyone saying James Scott couldn't cut it at Hull. To suggest staying here over a team at the top of the Championship may have been a valid shout in 1995 but not today. I'm sure he weighed up the significant upping in standard, the wage increase, the proximity to where he grew up/family over mid table mediocrity here in a league where you won't win it and you're limited to hoping for a decent (and fortuitous) cup run.

Long and short is he reneged on a deal and he and his representatives acted far from professionally. The Euro compo will be a fraction of what we could have got if he was under contract till next summer. I think Aberdeen would have easily found 300k which would be 4x what we will get under this recobble. Prick is getting booed

Best kept secret at FP ......

Loved him as a lad but some of Colin O’Neil’s pish and behaviour is worthy of that mantle of late. Andy Walker and Tom Boyd who were infected with COVID-OF-1690 worthy of a shout. Wasn’t there some unwarranted bitching at the time of administration (Greg Strong) or was it legimate? Add Goram itching, waiting to get to a PA at an Orange Lodge to belt out the classics. Let’s not overlook a recent departure: https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/ross-county/3199291/ex-caley-jag-liam-polworth-on-being-made-to-train-with-kids-at-motherwell-as-he-confirms-ross-county-link/

Apologies, I assumed ex meant we’d not see them in C&A again. Unless the jumpsuits in Peterhead prison are those colours

Just a wee bump based on the warm up friendlies now complete. Tierney looks on form, Gilmore added something when he came on, Dykes has to convert workrate into goals and everyone who plys their trade in the premiership seems to worthy of a start .... sadly for the SPFL. I’d also opt for Cooper in that defence. I can’t see a former player playing unless there’s a major injury or were resting players before the last 16 ...... There’s only three teams in the SOL fantasy league. Get involved folks.

Couple of mile outs then

An ex player is getting a start tonight vs Luxembourg

Interesting statement by Killie. If he's after that money he's onto plums. Going in asking that after being relegated and their annual revenue in mind boggling. I bet Flow would like to unleash the dragon with a statement like that on a few agents or players. Would be a glorious thing to read.

We'd have missed out on James McFadden both times .... With ponytail and Turkish arse follicle/scalp operation What is the worst barnet sported by anyone in C&A in modern times, I ask this is avoid the 70's which were rich pickings
-
Amazing what swinging on the bar when requested does for your reputation when it comes to nostalgia
-
We've got an easy demonstratable "come here and get a big move if you're good enough" model now. That combined with the increased TV exposure that you get in the SPFL opposed to the lower English leagues, I hope if there are enough agents out there that look longer term than immediate payday then we could do better than Lafferty. So far our recruitment/retention has been mostly uninspiring so if he does sign I doubt it would be bucking the trend.
-
As long as we avoid anything that gets a legitimate slagging from the rest of Scottish football. i.e. St Mirren "Lederhosen", Hearts "Mr Blobby"

I’d just like to think there are better out there. There must be a striker somewhere who could emulate Moult and we could get a payday at the end of his time. Issue is finding him. Can’t help but feel I’ve seen this adoration of a player numerous times before. Cup final in 2017, Bigi plays OK compared to the rest, many on here see his regular inclusion as the key to success. Hastie, purple patch, a few wise heads were suggesting the hype should be tempered and that, with hindsight was astute. Lafferty has a number of things not going for him, attitude, age and a run of good games after a significant drought. Adding penalties to his tally has to be tempered too, what’s important here if he was instrumental in them being won rather than slotting them away. In his favour, he seemingly single handedly kept a rank team their top flight status a possibility until the last round of fixtures. But context is required, I didn’t watch all of both legs of the playoff, maybe that’s a better indicator. His arrival would result in a shoulder shrug rather than genuine anticipation for me.

Wasn’t the paddypower no sponsor strip with claret shorts?

Turnbull, Gordon and Cooper all got a chance to stake a claim. Forrest too, however playing wingback
