  1. Things to take from this so far: It looks like the Cooper is getting a facelift too. East/Hunter doesn’t look like it’s getting a design like it had before other than 7 blocks of colour. Surprised at that. Liam Kelly has secured us 7 points at least with his timely contributions. Can we to play highland league opposition in every round of the cup going forward please?
  2. Sincerely can't fathom the Kelly chat. He's a QPR player who earned a decent move to a mid table championship club. So talk of him maybe getting a move to a decent English side, he's kinda already there, just not favoured. They have someone ahead of him in the pecking order so the chance of regular game time to a club in a bit of bind was no doubt welcome by all parties. He's still got a two years on his deal there and on decent wedge. The only way he'd come north in the summer is to go to Edinburgh or Aberdeen I suspect based on their spending power. Only thing we may have is Alexander may give him the "We're building something great here" speech, regular football or some extra x-factor. You'd expect Carson to be fit by August so do you think he'd return from QPR to be an understudy at FP?
  3. After this season I'd settle for losing 10x underachievers and getting in 5x aboveaveragers. Of course we could rock up in August with a lean, mean, 3 pointing machine and do a Leicester. As OTF points out in his own inimitable way, Robinson near the end and Alexander have tended to favour "experience" over age. I'd say ambition and hunger in a young immature lad can often make up for someone stolling it at their 10th club in 10 years. The lack of engagement as reported with the fringe players is if the case, is concerning because so much of our model depends on that conveyor belt. It's earned us £5m+ in the past few years. Essentially Alexander comes across as a hard taskmaster who's office you go to only for a bollocking not a friendly coffee and hobnob.
  4. From who, auld Davie and his dug from Silvertonhill and that wee female casual from the documentary?
  5. You could have them both go down in the play off winner can muster more than we have in 3 attempts against Accies this season. Hearts are walking it so the ideal scenario out who's left for me is Dundee or Dunfermline, Tayside wins on potential visiting fan revenue Dunfermline for a nice day out, not too far. Killie yes have a plastic pitch but I think they bring more as a club to the league than they take. County deserve to go for Big Roy's breaking of financial fair play for years and Accies, everything is unmemorable apart from proximity.
  6. 75k UEFA appearance money right in the sky rocket
  7. So I've read this 10x plus now and I still don't get it. I've tried it in different accents and employing my own punctuation but no, still no joy
  8. Just conveying the SNP current policy however there is a significant republican element within the party. Of course they could choose to reinstate the Scottish Jacobean monarchy that was deposed in the "Glorious Revolution" and that would be King Joseph (currently Prince of Liechtenstein). Of course we could go for a homegrown head of state, however in this day and age we may end up with President John Smeaton.
  9. Wee Lizzy would still be the boss after independence or not
  10. But he's a championship club player who was signed from another championship club ......... you feeling alright?
  11. Loving the focus on players tindering in the stands for the past 10 mins
  12. I seen more action than him in 2020 and I was in a coma for a fair bit of it
  13. Tried to have his cake and eat it ...... only humble pie left in the "whoopsies" at Asda. Time for a new agent?
  14. Probably for on your strips thread but some of the under armour ones for Tottenham about 8-9 years ago are among some of the best I've seen in the modern era. They had a two tone grey third strip that if converted to our colours or Dark Grey Light Grey Cash Convertors or Claret I think would look mint. They also had a yellow one with a pinstripe that their fans changed to white and said would have been a classic. White with claret would be mint for us. What do you know of Macron and their deals with so many SPFL clubs?
  15. We've seen more of Kevin Spacey in the past few months ......
  16. Hastie, sorry but football seems to be a square peg in a round hole these days for him. Off back to Rangers on your 5k a week and save hard. Tyler - Well regarded by Blackburn fans but taking a while to adapt. Not really seen much of this much vaunted speed. Eddie Nolan .... Someone that needs a wikipedia search to refresh the memory maybe best away elsewhere.
  17. Kelly is beyond us sadly but Carson was in fine form before his injury. His contract is up however? Roberts hasn't done a lot wrong except he's contracted to another club and I'd hope Alexander can scour the markets for someone better. Harry Smith, again maybe unfair but we've not seen enough of him to fully judge however he seems to be filling the Jordan White role perfectly.
  18. Benjamin Franklin said there were only two things certain in life: death and taxes. There seems to be only two things that universally unite everyone on SOL. 3 points on a Saturday and Seedorf can GTF.
  19. Dec's stock was pretty high in the summer as I said after a season where he put in a above average to MotM performance most weeks. Not outrageous to suggest he could have went for decent money with a year (potentially two - not disclosed) left on his contract. To be fair he probably did but what you usually get is because its Motherwell, teams lowball offers. Celtic did it when they needed cover, Campbell was bid for few months back. As for Randolph, perhaps, but we had two keepers in him and Ruddy who went on to play in the premiership. There's plenty of English goalkeepers we've never heard of who have came and gone in the game in the years since. Maybe we were spoiled with a good scouting network or eye at the time.
  20. I think we all know that Dec has shifted the goalposts after agreeing the terms and taking his 30 pieces of silver. His "come and get me" interview would have maybe worked better if he hadn't been so inconsistent, mediocre at best opposed to a solid 7.5 minimum every week last season. In theory, with his sub appearances and 5 games to go the threshold should be reached and contract extended. However, I feel safe in thinking GA is done with the behaviour and doesn't see him as part of his plans for that reason. It's safe to say both Dec and O'Donnell will be angling for the lions share of the UEFA compo that should go to their teams. There are three players I can think of that I can't understand why they didn't go for good money while contracted. Dec, Campbell and Randolph.
  21. Do we think he was sent to the same Harley Street specialist that Turnbull was? By all accounts he's a nice guy, comes out with sentences only decipherable to a Love Island watcher. As a player he was OK, he didn't set the heather alight (if I recall he was sent off twice in his first few games) but did improve. Reading the other comments it seems he impressed them more than he did me. If he does go, the only people really happy about it I suspect would be his neighbours in Larkhall. Motherwell at its core is a commercial business and therefore you have to make hard decisions. I think if we pulled the plug he would be probably thinking "I thought it would have happened way before now". Sometimes you just have to accept you're made of glass. Cole is putting in decent numbers despite playing in an inconsistent team. I'd say his stock will have risen due to his second spell here, enough to get a move to a decent League 1 team with a better budget than we can afford.
