  1. ...... and two hunner and ninty posts of pish from you. Theres a wee arrow on the index page that takes you to any new posts since your last visit, but since you are an internet gatekeeper with intricate knowledge of such things no need to school you.
  2. ha ..... that was too cryptic for some of the dumb fucks on here
  3. I was impressed with Fisher too, good with the head and holding which compliments a short arse poacher, plus he is composed with a high work rate. Maybe a bit too close to Louis ..... oh wait ........
  4. Based on Ya Bezzer's stats of those around us in the bottom 6: P15 W7 D5 L3 With 5 games left to play we'd hope to continue to trend and look for 2 wins, 2 draws and a loss following our form thus far. That equates to 8 points, final total of 40 and guaranteed safety. Easier said than done. Dundee have to be considered a new animal due to the new manager factor.
  5. I think the main thing is with attaining 5 points we've managed to stay in the hunt. If I was a Killie fan I'd be happy that despite the toughest run in, they've drawn 4 of those games. For us, yet more inconsistency, however the cricket score results have stopped under Robinson. ICT, I'd be settling for automatic demotion with the hope that Dundee continue their run. Accies fans must want more of the same thanks very much. Dundee have played 1st, 2nd and 4th in their last 5 games, they have to be optimistic of getting a few results against those around them. Finally, Ross County also attained 5 points (I assume Celtic will tear them a new one tomorrow) with one of the easier run ins. So there may be a bit of worry there.
  6. Lets see how I did: What stands out for me is Accies and Killie have been tough to beat, Killie in particular grinding out draws in 4 in their final 5 matches against tough opposition. Accies has done what I hoped we'd manage, no doubt helped by St. Johnstone's madness. Dundee have imploded.
  7. Does Aiden McGeady count? ...... little rat

  10. Jesus, the "Get him tae fuck" fucktards are out in force again I see. Put yourself in the shoes of Mark McGhee .... "Hi Alan, I've identified this midfielder as a good acquisition, start the ball rolling" "Yeah I'm not sure sure Mark, his form is patchy and he's never managed to live up to earlier promise" Cue a barrel load of swearing and a few snide remarks including the following phrases "what the fuck would you know". "Managing Brighton" and "20 years of management experience" Lets get real here, the manager and scouts select targets, the operational people (Flow and others) grease the wheels at the bidding of the manager and close the deal. I'm sure he's maybe floated the odd name here and there, but ultimately its down to the footballing department to research and instruct a pursuit. He can't be held responsible for some of the duds we've bought in the past few years. If these duds were on extended, lucrative contracts without a lack of protection for the club then he can come in for criticism because that's his domain and remit. What we are failing from here is the chronic underperformance of our midfield. It's been an issue for about 5 years now and has never been addressed. They win the ball, feed and support the strikers and protect the defence. That hasn't happened in a satisfactory way since we had players of the calibre of Jennings, Coke, Law etc. At present, exciting prospect Cadden has went off the boil, stalwart Pearson has yet to deliver since returning, McHugh has been forced to act as a plaster for an leaky defence, Lasley still seems to make a difference but is feeling his age and a host of others are simply not good enough and were bought hastily due to the proximity of the window closing to get us through the season. On the other note, I see no difference between Samson and Josh Law, just a season or two apart. Both maligned, both offered no protection from a shaky defence or impassive Ainsworth in front of them respectfully.
  11. The cashflow issues at this time of year are well documented, lower crowds, postponements and potential loss of earnings from empty cup tie weekends along with increased overheads (undersoil heating, etc). However one of the defining principals of the Well Society is their funds could be used to help the club at this time. The alternative is the club holds £120k in reserve until this point of the season, the cost being the option of approximately two additional first team players. Personally I know what option I'd take (as long as they perform of course). I also feel satisfied that those who have control over this will ensure the funds are re-deposited when the sun is shining.
  12. I don't get why people Null vote anymore, you used to have to do it to view the results but not now.
  13. Another question for you, what happens if you have a night of lost of fares at £6-8, I imagine theres a lot of change to be handed out. If I'm your last fare and it comes to 13 quid but I've only got a 20 and you've got nothing left but 20's too, what happens next, Take me to a petrol station or something else? Bet you must make a mint in tips due to your personable manner and affable nature.
  14. I remember the PA announcer (probably before that Dundee Utd game Flossy mentions) saying something along the lines of "with guaranteed European football next season, it's now just a question of which competition we're playing in" to a massive cheer from a bussling East Stand.
  15. I almost feel compelled to offer a cuddle to anyone who thinks Moult will be here next season. He would have been sold a 3 year deal using "come to us for 3 years, play two and well give you a good salary and put you in the shop window, you leave and we get something out of it that'll help us mitigate that increased salary, sound good? ideal .... sign here!"
  16. But surely Marvin, McHugh and Moult are the only players in 2 years we have purchased, everyone else has been a free. All three players have something about them and I feel confident they'll move on for a good return. Granted 2 years ago it was down to the Les, new toy, naivety but out of that we got Marvin which I recall Flow saying was potentially one of the most lucrative sales in the clubs history. I'm glad to say all the duds turned out to only be wage thieves. Also happy to see all purchases seem to have been financially astute, the loans and free's are a gamble, but if they were a sure thing final articles then they probably wouldn't be a free transfer. Safe to say we're not the only team in our league who have recruited some bums, Ross County go through 15 a season. Also worth pointing out a current player who has something about him (Ainsworth) has not been utilised and developed by three successive managers. Can't deny he doesn't have ability, his work ethic is questionable but that's down to the manager to address. Even the great Sir Alex got duds at Manchester United and they pretty much had the pick of the worlds leagues with an extensive scout network. Be sure and put your name forward for head of scouting. However as you're the only person with a player potential crystal ball and your added power of hindsight, won't be long until Real Madrid comes knocking.
  17. I think Killie have the harder run in than Dundee and thats why I gave them a point. OF and Hearts, away to the furthest geographically and as you point out, one of the best performers since the turn of the year this Saturday. Safe to say teams like that have made hay while the sun shined in terms of fixtures before now, we have an easier run in because we played more of the tougher teams, we now have to capitalise on points from those in and around us.
  18. A lot of valid points made and I've ran out of "likes" for the day, but as always a lot of shite too. Steelboy, yeah we've dabbled in the transfer market and had a few wins and a few calamities. We didn't pay anything for Randolph (other than very high wages), Mark Reynolds and Jamie Murphy. We failed to achieve any significant revenue for players of their stature. Humphrey walked, Hutchison too but it looks like we'll get something decent for Moult and Marv has already been lucrative with another bit to come in the future. OTF - Interesting about Coyle, would be nice to know what those outside influences beyond our control were, other than we have showers at FP and he'd be expected to wash. El Grew - Don't really know where you're coming from, Graeme put it rather succinctly, McGhee came to us with a track record at our club. That first season he had us playing fantastic football with lean and hungry players. This time it felt like a shadow of then with him trading on his past achievements. He lost whatever fire he had after Rangers in the Scottish Cup. We haemorrhaged goals since, there was nothing there to show me he had the guile to turn things around. Luckily, I think the club recognised that and while it may have been painful to do so, Flow had to deliver the news to the guy who gave him his start in the game. I also don't think Robinson was a fait accomplit, COF has conveyed that the man we wanted was Coyle. It would have been courteous to invite the interim boss to interview for the job. Remember an interview goes both ways, some applicants may decide after a sit down and a chat that it's not for them, rejection isn't the reserve of those interviewing. I think the 14 month contract over a 2 month one say to Robinson, look we're going to give you a bit of support, no the support of a 2 or 3 year deal, but enough that builds a degree of you wanting to pull for us. I think maybe even Robinson himself felt it was him it would be a deal till the summer and re-assess.
  19. Another question, what's the deal with those who throw up in the taxi? Is it a flat fee to clean up the sick or do you change the amount based other factors? Do you keep wet wipes in the glovebox so the cash goes in the hippy as a wee extra or goes for a full valet and all the collected monies pay for it. If you can clear this up, I'd be grateful to hear back
  20. For us it is, playoffs apart, it seems we're back to normal service against NewCo as it was since 2001 or whatever when the woeful record started. A break? Don't know if you mean between the regular season and post split or the fixtures I listed (if its the latter most of the games for the majority of clubs are weekend's with one midweek fixture on the 4th/5th of April)
  21. Did this a few years ago and its seems apt. If we do go for Robinson to get us over the line until the summer or we go for a manager for the future it's imperative that we retain SPFL status for major financial implications this summer. 5 games left to play, top 6 would be a relief. My guesses are in red. I don't think we'll do it but should be safe post split. 22. We now live in an era of "alternative facts", namely: Sun reports Elvis sighting in Lanarkshire. Shergar was also seen Shagging Seabiscuit.
  23. Those cunts also suggested Freddy Starr ate hamsters. As for Burley, maybe the chance of rehabilitation and support and the dignity of getting back on his feet and restoring his reputation is what someone like him needs.
