A more settled defence will be helping Ripley massively as well.
-
Another one of these please (oh and the win)
-
Couldn't make it but that's still shite.
Any more call offs or Scottish cup replays and we are in for a right busy February / March
-
Would probably be happy with a draw..keeps some sort of momentum,,,my only worry is that they have to win at somepoint. But aye they cant keep a clean sheet for **** and their arse seems to collapse everytime they take the lead.
Starting to wonder if the thistle game being called off was a blessing with the wee run they are on.

Will there be anything planned for the game on Boxing Day? A minutes applause in the 10th minute?
Maybe at the home game on the 30th?
-
Can't be any worse than the last game against them (well it can score wise but you get the idea)
-
Opening day against St Mirren last season 4620 with a decent enough St Mirren support - Maybe 800
First home game this season against Dundee Utd 4859 again with a decent enough support - Maybe 800 - 1000?Before you even get to the christmas / weather / money arguments we are struggling to get 4000 home fans through the door on a good day.
I remember the St Mirren game well last season - even after the embarrassment of Stjarnan I was looking forward to the first home game and it was a cracking day and looked around thinking where is everyone. But the stats seem to be suggest its been like that for years at the start of the season.
We're down to a core 3000 I reckon. With another 1000 who probably want to go most of the time but often find something better to do. Maybe coming for about half the games.

Dundee love a 1-1 away from home.
Although with Celtic away the following week and then a huge game against Dundee United on boxing day I think we need to win this one.

I'd just do the 7/7 split.
Having a bye week doesnt do the NFL any harm.
Chance to rest some players - organise a bounce game against another team on a bye week from another league or whatever. Do whatever you want really. Saves fannying about with strange splits.
Although i've just clicked that it would meant not everyone playing on the last day of the season which would be ****
-
Not many teams win 3 on the bounce in our league so by that f'cked up logic we'll get a positive result on Saturday
Could hit the dizzy heights of 8th if things go our way.

Dont think our 1 goal a game will be good enough.
1-1 draw at best. Probably a 2-1 defeat.

People still watch Sportscene?
I know
In my defence I only watch it when we win or get a 'decent' result so its been a rare 'treat' as of late
-
On a side note Sportscene need to get rid of the "Feature" pish if they insist on then showing the game from what looks like a mobile phone. A nice idea but its executed so badly. I dont think you can even get 'normal' highlights off the BBC when they do that.
And dont get me started on the fan that wants Terry Butcher back

Craigan 5/4
Houston 8/1
Mixu 14/1
Lennon 20/1
McGhee 25/1 -
Standard issue cliché packed sound bite from
IB normally issued along with highlights?
Issues with the camera....apparently...
-
So tempted to lump on under 2.5 goals @ 4/5
This has got 1-0 either way or 0-0 written all over it.
-
I just cant imagine him getting angry at players.
And to be honest with some of the shitebags in our team i doubt that would make any difference.
Probably sitting there thinking "whatever mate, you wont be here come Monday"
-
Scrape a 2-1 win. Beat Partick 1-0 on Saturday.
Then another 4 defeats.
Mon lets get a win ffs!
-
Saw this on another forum and thought id put on here
-
I got 33....well wikipedia got 33...

I didn't think we could get rangers due to seeding but are we now a top seed due to three higher ranked teams going out?
Yup
Assuming Hibs and Rangers win tonight its one of
Hearts
Hibs
Rangers
Falkirk
Raith
Livi
Greenock
Dunfermline

The frequency with which Law is getting caught out of position is clearly having a knock on effect with Laing. With St Johnstone's 2nd goal Law is stood on his own, marking no one and as far as I can see contributing nothing defensively which sees Laing having to cover 2 players (not the first time this has happened either, also the case with Hearts 2nd as well). Surely he has to be tucked in at the back post and allow Laing to get tighter to the man in front.
Yes, the whole thing about defending as a team rings true but right now he's making the same mistakes week in, week out which is a concern that one way or another needs to be addressed.
Without watching Sportscene this week i'd imagine that picture of the build up the goal is more analysis than Sportscene did of the entire game.
-
Yeah, just watched them myself there. Josh Law's "defending" in the lead up to the first goal is embarassing. Yet another goal from down his side. Needs removed from the right-back slot pronto. He simply cannot defend.
Aye looks like he was turned by the guy walking past him..this then pulls Laing out of position but McManus is far too casual in there and then turns around to suggest that Chalmers? should be there. Just shouldnt be happening.
Second goal they are at it again.
