  1. In terms of impact from new players and getting some sort of a positive reaction from senior pros, that's about as big a disaster of a performance you could ever wish to see.

The body language and effort from almost everyone was horrific.

Big favourites to go straight down after seeing that.

If any 1 of our 2 centre half’s do their job right they don’t score as I said earlier couldn’t make a centre half out of the 2 of them.

SH has been watching these 2 make cunt of things for months and has done absolutely feck all about it

we’re going down if we keep playing these pair of chancers They wouldn’t get a game at junior level !!!!!!

I 100% agree the defending was atrocious- the point remains though that we should have been up the other end of the park.

It was the easiest of layoffs and is typical of KVV. We are soft as shit all over the park when it comes to retaining possession.

  3. There was a tweet of the tifo Celtic did before the game and it was noticeable that you couldn't see the stairways. Plenty evidence that they managed to get smoke bombs and flares in too which aren't allowed, so that couldn't have happened either.

For what it's worth I thought it definitely looked over capacity on TV.

Would be a major black mark on the club so I'd be surprised of we had any confirmation either way.

  4. I'm a bit surprised at folks willingness to accept the Jota goal was onside on the basis of the camera angle shown - it's nowhere near as definitive as some are making out. People also get caught up looking at a players feet - Jota was leaning forward as he was on the sprint and with O'Donnell being practically vertical it wouldn't surprise me if another angle showed Jota's head was offside.

It doesn't help when the VAR freeze frame puts the line in the wrong place either which also happened with the Tierny goal which had the line on Tierney's outstretched hand. That's incredibly misleading.

Thats been a feature of our play for quite some time now.  I often make the same comment but am not sure if thats only how it looks. Is it down to poor awareness, organisation, instructions?  As recently as the Aberdeen game last weekend they were working their socks off to close us down and harass us, where as we stood off them.  Whatever the reason, why make it easy for the opposition? I know we're limited for bodies just now but the midfield mix just doesn't seem right. Slattery is off form and I just don't know where Spittal fits into the team. I'd have Dean Cornelius starting every week - he brings drive and energy to the table that we so often lack.

The contrast to when we had what felt like two Allan Campbells swarming everything that moved for 90 minutes is stark.

  6. The Watt challenge is a perfect example of how something can look so much worse when you slow it down, and if you freeze it at the right time it can look horrendous.

The freeze frame that we are all seeing will look identical to a tackle where the player has followed through and caused serious damage, the difference is Watt is already pulling back at that point but you just can't tell from a still image - that's why it's not even been given as a foul in real time then a red after review.

The referee's really need some better training to recognise the difference between the two scenarios.

If the law states none of the above matters and there was simply potential to cause an opposition player serious injury then it becomes a very difficult decision to challenge.
