In my opinion people are letting their hearts rule their heads when it comes to Nijholt. I've not been following his manegerial career particularly closely but I've got a feeling it would be a disaster. Jimmy Calderwood is the stand out on that list for me. Proven track record and in similar circumstances to ours.

There's no doubt Fir Park has suffered from a lack of investment in recent years, and I think most people have accepted it thinking a move to Ravenscraig was imminent. You and I might see the place as having character but we're not exactly looking at it from an unbiased position. From those I've spoken to most non Motherwell fans see the place as nothing short of a dump, and to be fair you can hardly blame them. With money being tight and the pitch needing totally relaid in the off season I wouldnt be excpecting much more than a wee lick of fire retardant paint here and there before the start of next season. What improvements do you think the Club could afford and are realistically likely to make?

Seems to me like the work we need to do getting the pitch up to scratch has taken a massive chunk out of our transfer budget. Missing out on players to St. Johnstone is worrying in the extreme. I just hope its not all left to the last minute, or even January again before we get our fingers out, bite the bullet and stump up some money.

From what I've heard in a lot of the games he's got pens in he's been otherwise anonymous. Although I have to admit when he's good he's very good. I just hope Dave Jones keeps the boy away from the media cos he does himself no favours with his big time charlie attitude.

I'm surprised at the fuss over this. Tho I can't remember any other campaign the club have run to compare it too, and that says a lot. Anything that draws attention to the new strip has to be a good thing!

The prospect of european football next season might be the very incentive we need to keep the likes of Hughes and Smith. It may be what seals the deal when we're fighting for a players signature with some league 1 english team. Don't underestimate just how important it is, even if we do get there by the back door!

I don't think that's fair or accurate. The moaners are here every season. I've not seen any increase in crowds that would suggest we've suddenly acquired loads of glory hunters. If people want to moan then they'll moan, no matter what other people say. I don't like it either by the way!

I thought my point was obvious. Everyone has a right to voice their opinion and people should stop trying to dictate how other people support the team. There's room for all of us at Fir Park, of that I am sure!

Am I the only person who doesn't like being told how to support my team? Although I agree with a lot of what has been said, why can't people accept that some people don't want to subscribe to their way of thinking? As ludicrous as it is demanding McGee's head or not going to the post split fixtures is, they have every right to say and do these things. If everyone sang from the same hymn sheet when it came to supporting Motherwell we wouldn't need this board for a start. As far as us being the most fickle fans in Scottish Football well that's just the sort of bollocks I'd excpect to hear from someone like John Robertson. Oh and I seem to remember us playing some oustanding stuff with the likes of Lambert, Coyne and Co in the team. Let's be honest here the free flowing football we were playing lasted for half a season at the most and this myth that we are some sort of fantastic footballing team is exactly that... a myth. We are now a very average SPL side and McGee has a major job ahead of him this summer.

Funnily enough my Dad is a Ger but my Mum and Grandpa were Well fans. All my mates at primary school were Well fans so that probably swung it for me. My first game at Fir Park was against St Johnstone and we won 3 nil (I think). They had just been promoted and I remember Luc Nijholt warming up in front of the Davie Cooper end terracing during the game. i didn't really get the bug until I got my first season ticket at 16. I've been going on and off ever since.

I love the Canterbury Scotland rugby top. I bought it during the 2007 world cup and it's the only rugby top I've ever owned. That's one of the reasons I'm so excited about the new kit. I'll be buying it!
