When contacted last night, Jeffers said he had an offer to stay in Scotland and two to return to England.
He said there had been no contact with the Jets but he would love to come back to Newcastle.

I see that Billy Mehmet has been released by that Turkish team he was playing for. Stuart McCall has said in interviews he's looking for a big powerful forward. Maybe I'm just putting 2 and 2 together but mehmet hasn't had that many games in turkey so may be looking for a 6 month deal to get his fitness up and prove himself to any potential suitors

Adebayo Akinfenwa is out of contract in the summer , he's a goalscoring version of Christian Nade, He scored 37 in 88 appearences for northampton in league 1 which is pretty similar to the SPL.

We have so far been linked with keepers who play for teams who have been relegated from their respective divisions (Lee Hollis (airdrie) & Callum Reidford (clyde)). I went to the airdrie play off on Saturday and the guy behind me was talking about the keeper being linked with motherwell. First of all he's about the same height if not smaller than fraser, h'es a bombscare at croses and he always looks prone to spilling the ball. Its the first time i've seen him so maybe it wasn't a good day but still I think we should be aiming higher, maybe released championship players?

He's the 3rd best Northern Irish goalkeeper. That doesn't mean he's any good.
Think he's second choice now. I've been to a few partick games this season and he's top notch.

He signed a 3 year extension last year.

A think he was a prolific scorer in the junior leagues so mutley signed him up.Far as i know he was then loaned out to Forfar then released.
