Don't think we need a target man for this one so would play either mchugh or murphy to keep the ball on the deck and annoy the defenders.

  2. was gutted at result, thought the boys played fantastic. i would have maybe started with mchugh up front in place of sutton with murphy alongside him. Just someone with a bit of pace specifically to tire Weir out even more, and if we bagged a goal, great if not then bring sutton on.

i think for dundee utd next week, we need to rethink the situation up front. we cant play sutton and murphy together when sutton is up front him self. murphy is posted missing unless he is upfront with a.n other. nothing against the boy as i think he has great potential.

Thats what I would have done mate, think it would have been a more effective partnership.

  3. he was apparently on 2 or 3 times the money meldrum is getting at aberdeen.

if/when we bring in a goal keeping coach it'll be someone gannon knows from dow south. he hasn't signed anyone from scotland yet so i don't think he'll start with leighton.

If we sign leighton though we have good cover for when big ruddy leaves.

    Ole relishes Fir Park challenge

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is relishing the chance for his young Reserves to learn another valuable lesson in the Sir Matt Busby Shield

The Reds travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell on Sunday, and Solskjaer is delighted to be part of the celebration, which marks 100 years since the legendary United manager's birth.

"We're looking forward to it," Solskjaer told MUTV. "It's a completely different challenge. We’ll be the young, enthusiastic ones and Motherwell will be the experienced ones.

"It's important for these lads to have those kind of games and play against men sometimes."

Solskjaer was speaking after his side's 2-1 win over Wigan, a result which prolonged the Reds' 100 percent start to the season. The Norwegian still saw room for improvement however, after his side passed up a string of chances.

"It was a good win," he said. "It felt like we should’ve been winning 4-1 or 5-1. Gary (Neville) came in at the end there and had to check if the result was 2-1!

"When you’re so on top, if you don’t take your chances there’s always danger. They had a couple of decent chances in the second half so there was the lesson they’ve got to learn."

Tickets for Sunday's match, priced £12 adults, £6 juveniles and £20 for families (1 adult and 2 children) can be purchased at www.visitlanarkshire.com/sirmattbusby.

Has he done any research into the motherwell squad? i would think the average age of our team would be around the same as theirs.

  5. I can only really echo what rammer said . He wears his heart on his sleeve and is very compasionate about football. Motherwell are a changed team from last season but for the better.
