  1. Yeah, we saw that with McManus. Our team spirit and the manager himself seems to draw decent players to the club who are willing to play for lower wages and I hope that continues. However, I still feel McCourt would be a wrong move. Bring on the youngsters with a smattering of auld heeds and we will be sorted for next season.
  2. In my own opinion Faddy was brought in with the hope that a good preseason and he would be flying. He had a great first season and looked a great prospect for the new season. That his fitness issues would be over. We took the gamble and it partly paid off. McCourt has never shown he has the fitness or likely to have the fitness to last in any game for any team. At least Faddy had the prospect of improving his fitness, McCourt never has. I couldn't care if McCourt was Pele he is not good to a team in our position to start offering a contract with our now precious budget who may give us 20-30 minutes here or there. If we had some hope that he could improve with a good preseason in his fitness and potentially last 90 minutes then fair enough. I get the fact that he can be an exciting player but like most teams we cannot afford that luxury on a part time basis anymore. He played 23 games for his last team of which he was a sub in 8 of them. Not a good enough return for me to gamble on a wage that could be better utilised. Clubs like ours need to learn the hard lesson that bringing on players is our only long term survival hope. I also like the way McCall is going about his business with the contracts. Learned his lessons from last year and crucial players are being signed back on and new ones already coming in early doors.
  3. Why the hell on an extremely tight budget would you even consider someone who can't play 45 minutes never mind 90 minutes or even debate how he can replace someone who we let go who also had fitness issues...We should be going nowhere near anyone who isn't 100% fit with a barge pole, especially guys with the worst fitness track record in the world allegedly... Any extra money that we have should be ploughed straight into the youth setup not unfit journeymen. The mind boggles with some posters on here.
  4. at least it keeps the players and more importantly the agents wage expectations at a reasonable level. If we had the previous TV money we used to have the wage demands would be double what they are at present.
  5. Nah he is more like this http://joyreactor.cc/post/1063502
  6. Right, we need to ditch half the team so we can get 2nd place again next year. We have to have a consistent approach, seems to work well for us.
  7. Well Well

    Aberdeen

If it wasn't for two great last minute tackles by Hutch the last minute goal would be a consolation. He was a brick wall today
  8. As long as McCall isn't going anywhere first and foremost
  9. Got to agree, home strip is very nice but that away strip is horrible. What the heck made them vandalise the collar like that. Like something a 3 year old at nursery would make out of scrap patches
  10. Have you actually got a result correct yet this season
  11. The good thing is we need to win at Pittodrie so hopefully McCall just says fuck it lets go for the win and we get tore in about them. Would have been more nervous if all we needed was a draw.
  12. I blame Stuart McCall for all this success..ridiculous so it is, we should be in the lower leagues and don't get me started on Europe who really needs that anyway...sack the board, sack McCall bring back the doom and gloom
  13. any deals on Fibre Pro..?? I currently have fibre and want to upgrade to the top one

  14. I don't think Neilsen done much wrong and he had a couple of good saves. The way we allowed Killie so much room was the biggest error and closing down was pedestrian by our players in the 2nd half. As I mentioned in the shout box we seemed happy for a draw because we must have passed that ball across the width of the park about 20 times when we had ample opportunity to come forward. I don't even know why we sat back because we looked decent in the first half and always looked like we could go on and score more. I don't even think Killie imagined we would give them so much room.
  15. Seeing the looks on the faces of some of the Hearts fans today, they know they are down and don't really have much hope of getting back in one year if they can't sign players while they are in Admin. They also do not seem to be behind their manager and his tactics and calling for him to go. Normally I would be the first to say 'roon ye' but we have been there and I hope they see a light at the end of the tunnel for the monumental cock up that was the Romanov reign. We had a few shady characters if mind serves me right looking to buy us when we were at our lowest and not with the best interests of the club and its continued existence uppermost in their thoughts. Anyway, on a lighter note cracking goals, Sutton back haunting his old club and hopefully a few of the younger guys getting a taste of first team action with more to come.
  16. Wow, that looks really impressive. Muirhouse though, will get tanned rotten..!! Although was that an MFC badge on the club house?, so maybe new training facilities indeed.
  17. They are there to support a football team, not make a political statement - end of. What a pile of shite, keep all yer political pish away from football hard as it is for the green and blue side of the divide. I would hammer every single club that went down this route and allowed this in their stadiums to the point of -10 point deduction for ever instance. Political demonstrations has absolutely no place in a football stadium and how you could see it any other way is completely beyond me. Life is bad enough dealing with the bloody walks every summer on both sides and the radio phone in shows which feeds enough of it without it coming into the stadiums. We want to watch what is happening on the pitch not reading pish slogans in the stands unless it is FOOTBALL related.
  18. The refereee or someone in an SFA uniform is certainly out walking about on the pitch and has his mobile phone glued to his ear. No standing water anywhere. Covers seem to have done their job. Can't help feeling that the pitch will be in a dreadful state after the 90 minutes. Looks like it will cut up badly.
  19. I Don't see a problem with them getting a percentage. At the end of the day they are taking a massive gamble with their own money. He could be a flop and leave on a free, could get a long term injury etc... I see no guarantee that at present he is going to make a return on their investment. Only the future will tell. I take my hat off to them that they are willing to take the gamble and hope for a return and if they get it, good on them, it would mean that we would have benefited as well as a team.
  20. Bought mine Sautrday and my son can't wait to get up there and get his calendar signed
