  1. Absolute must win game , a draw or defeat not acceptable One win and hopefully get some confidence back, remember in 2015 under Baraclough we were on a horrendous run of form and a 2-1 victory over Inverness was the start of getting out the mess we were in Hoping for something similar this weekend
  2. Must win game for sure Dundee United I think will pick up something against the Govan mob Hibs have been poor recently , have to be looking at picking up a victory in this one
  3. I do not think we should push the panic button with Hammell yet. Big changes are needed soon though Was actually happy with the point today which is a sign of where we are at present The way the season is going 10th will be success and I didn’t think I would have said that even a couple of months ago . Clearly struggling though the rot set in before Stevie got the job Even before Alexander came in the last year or so under Robbo’s leadership was a tough watch , and I was a fan of him A previous poster mentioned about the punching above our weight chat which was accurate. I think we should be always aiming better but there is an acceptance from top to bottom that we should be where we are
  4. Arry would be a great choice, Jurgen Klopp would be ideal On a serious note the late great Jim McLean would have kicked some backsides and of course Sir Alex
  5. Was a great day , could have done the double against them that season as well if Clarkson had put that chance away to put us 3-1 up at Hampden Nothing beats the feeling in recent years of those two play off games though for me , we sickened them and some have never forgiven us since
  6. Marvin Johnson scored for Sheffield Wednesday , could be doing with a player like him now
  7. Expecting the usual defeat against this mob Happy Faddy day , 20 years ago today we were just about to kick off and get our last ever league win against Oldco/Newco Of course we did draw twice here last season , and would take a draw right now , more realistically though 3-1 defeat
  8. I can’t see the Killie game going ahead , unless there is serious work carried out this week If the game is in danger of being off I would rather both teams agreed to switch the game to Rugby Park then play them at home next time , would rather see this than taking on the Buns after no game for 6 and a half weeks, where they will probably have played 3 by then
  9. Martinez did nothing that I can think of in a Well jersey in which was a very poor season overall, though strikes me as a very decent guy who still holds a soft spot for the Well fans Wish him well for the future
  10. With the 5 week break now it would be a good idea I think to try and get a couple of friendlies , maybe a game against an English side at Fir Park that fans could pay to get in even . Lower league team of course, maybe one who has no FA cup action , Bradford or a team like them who were knocked out recently, As leagues one and two still going ahead Think Hibs playing Middlesbrough soon . Hopefully a possibility as with no Scotland in the World Cup I would like to see some sort of live football that I have an interest in
  11. Hopefully tomorrow we can put away some of those chances , and come away with a victory and a bit of confidence going into the break In general our away form has been much better in recent months
  12. That was a great night, done the double that season as well. The best midweek one I can remember was the 2-1 victory in 2002 Nobody gave us a chance in that game against a Celtic team who hadn’t lost for 9 months . Plus of course we were in Administration Faddy ran riot that night, remember Celtic having Larssson, Sutton, Hartson and Maloney on at one point and the defence held out strong Type of game I would love to see now
  13. 3 points today is the most important thing regardless of the performance, much needed
  14. Thinking we are going to be in for a long long season Fully behind Stevie Hammell, he was put in this position and I believe will do the job to the best of his ability, and really hope he succeeds. I do believe there is a major rebuilding job required though
  15. Really need a win on Saturday to halt the recent run , looking for 4 points at least from the next 2 games
  16. Do not blame Hammell for anything before I start, It took Robinson to go to St Mirren before he could get a result as we as a club do not have the correct mindset in games like this and has been obvious for years 2 defeats in 3 days which were completely expected in my eyes. We ran Rangers much closer as Celtic are a much better side on their day and potentially can take 4 goals off any team in our league That said though our results in those games are horrendous in the last 5/7 years Interesting to read the Hibs manager earlier. Think there is something psychological about the inevitable of a defeat regardless of form
  17. Usual defeat against this mob, after a very decent first half. Convinced I will never see us beat Rangers in a league game again in my lifetime Next time we play them I would play Tommy Coyne , Owen Coyle, Faddy and Sieb Dikstra if they are available In all seriousness though desperate for a win on Wednesday but sadly it will be same old story
  18. No class whatsoever from a lot of them Slag off the wee diddy clubs all the time, and always someone else’s fault One comment i read today suggested they won’t compete in the champions league as all the other clubs in Scotland are holding them back , would love to know why. Massive gulf of course between Rangers and Celtic and the English premier league clubs , but no different to those two clubs and the rest of Scottish football, we just get on with it and make the best of it
  19. Absolute drubbing at home 7-1 , make no secret of the fact the Pool have always been my favourite English club Wont be surprised sadly if Rangers run up a few goals on Sunday now , I seriously hope I am wrong , and hoping Van Bronckhorst doesn’t lose his job by then , at least they know what it feels like to be us and other clubs like us losing heavily
  20. Well done everyone involved , great to hear we are doing all we can as a club
  21. Tommy Coyne was class and I do believe we got some of the best football of his career My favourite memory will always be the 1-0 cup win in 1994 , Can still hear Jock Brown in my head because I have watched it on YouTube so many times , Motherwell undefeated in 1994 against Celtic who have still to win a match in the new year , the double at Hampden later that year was another great day Was brilliant up along with the legend who is Dougie Arnott
  22. Would love a long overdue victory against this mob, fed up of hearing every time we play them about not having won a league game since 2002 etc Best we will get is a draw I think , though have to beat this mob at some stage
  23. Buzzing tonight , 5-0 victory for the Well And my favourite English side Liverpool beating the Govan mob Going to be a good day tomorrow
  24. One Steven Hammell There’s only one Steven Hammell
