  1. Norwich would have been an ideal move for him, he will need to hit the ground running to win over that mob if the deal goes through. Will be glad when this whole saga is over tbh and we can get on with concentrating on the new season.
  2. Love the new away kit, best for a few seasons
  3. Astounding indeed, you would expect nothing less from them but. So laughable, both them and their friends across the city do think the world revolves round them.
  4. Definetly, the fact that all their followers cant believe that anyone would knock back the Selik makes the whole thing even funnier for me.
  5. Totally agree about this, in years to come I will look back and say I was more entertained getting to two finals than I was say scraping in the top 6. The football under Robinson is no worse than it was in McCall's last year or so or McGhee's second spell. On the subject of Turnbull I will be gutted to see him go but definetly not in a position to turn this money down. Just a pity it is Celtic.
  6. Reinvest more in the youth set up and also some improvements to the John Hunter or O'Donnell stand.
  7. Hopefully we don't even consider this, don't think we will to be fair.
  8. I have a feeling we will have a positive season as well next year, if we pick up points on a regular basis like we did from January onwards I see us definetly being top 6 this year.
  9. Thought Turnbull would have definetly been in. Will benefit us but when the new season starts.
  10. Definetly, like the game Moult scored a double at Hampden, pity Hibs never got through lol. We have come close on a few occasions. That game we played Celtic when Corrigan passed it back with minutes to go is one that sticks in my head. Remember thinking if we had got through we would have beat Dunfermline that year. Also the one Clarkson missed the sitter that could have put us 3-1 up was another close one. That was an enjoyable run that year. Always remember the Faddy goal against Clyde.
  11. I don't the mind the group format at all Would rather play 4 guaranteed cup games at the start of the season than say 1 or 2 and the rest meaningless friendlies. Would be in favour of scrapping the North/South sections but and just make it that anyone can draw anyone
  12. And despite all of this everyone in the media had us written off as going down. It was very satisfying taking 6 off this mob over two games when all you heard in the build up was that they would be back in the league the next season, and old firm games would be back etc. One of my biggest disappointments of the last 10/15 years following the Well is we have never lifted any silverware in that period of time despite having some very consistent sides. I would swap some of the league victories we have had over Celtic or Rangers, such as Skippy Sunday or some of the other games mentioned just to beat them in a final or two but until we do we can always remember games like those games and the enjoyment we had.
  13. Remember this one well, along with the 3-2 game against them not long after that when Goodman got the winner. Fir Park was bouncing that night.
  14. Any game beating either of the Glasgow two are worth a watch over and over again. Also remember the 3-1 cup game against Hearts. Sure it was Goram's debut and was a live Sky game. Played so great that night and was convinced we could go on and win the cup that year.
  15. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JLuEk5TVZ4 I seen a notification on facebook earlier that it was 4 years ago tonight we done this. What a game, and one of my favourite games ever so had to watch the highlights. There is a lot of Well games kicking about on Youtube thankfully but got me thinking about Well games I would like to see again but hard to find them and havent seen them in years. Some of my personal favourites I havent seen for a while The 2-1 game against Celtic at Fir Park when Shaun Fagan and James McFadden scored. Was buzzing that night and recently looked to find it, Faddy was outstanding that night. The 1-0 game against Rangers on Boxing Day the same year, I had it on VHS at one point. You can get the McFadden goal somewhere on youtube but would love to see the whole game. Also remember the 2-0 game against Rangers under Billy Davies, the Twaddle goal is somwhere online but thats about it. Know there are quite a few others I have forgot about it and will remember soon. Does anyone have any other personal favourites they would like to see again and hopefully someone somewhere will upload them at some point.
  16. Roberto Martinez apparently one of the favourites for the Barcelona job
  17. Quite fancy getting drawn against East Kilbride away just because we haven't played them yet. Wouldn't mind a game against Airdrie also.
  18. I wouldn't have thought there would be any issues with those sides either. Glad that Rangers and Celtic fans wont be back in though as it will waste the atmosphere for the people in there. Hopefully will encourage a few more of our fans to turn up.
  19. When I think back to that 5-1 defeat to Dundee in McGhee's last game in charge, 5-1 at half time and the way we lost that day then I think we have came on leaps and bounds since then. If Robinson was to leave tomorrow he would leave us in a much better position than when he took on the job. All things considered I think he has done a good job in his time in charge. Any extension to his contract is deserved in my opinion.
  20. Thought Saturday was an enjoyable watch for an end of season game, great first half and disappointing to lose the two goals the way we did. Looking forward to seeing what next season brings.
  21. Even if we cant finish any higher I will still be hoping for the 3 points especially which a larger than normal crowd expected. History shows when we get a larger than normal crowd in we usually fail to show up in a lot of these games and it wont encourage people to come back. An earlier post mentioned a 6-2 win with Turnbull getting a hat trick. The game when Faddy scored a hat trick last game of the season in a meaningless game against Livingston was one that I will always remember. We kicked on from there the following season by finishing top 6 so hopefully the same outcome.
  22. Don't think there is any chance that Robinson will not be in charge next season and he has earned the right to be there in my opinion. Get the impression Alan Burrows etc is quite happy with the job he is doing. The thing I like about him is he is not afraid to give the youth a chance. If you think back to the last year of McCall's spell in charge the future didn't look too good as there wasn't many coming into the first team at all and no real sellable assets.
  23. A really close game in store. Can see one goal settling it. Hopefully the lads will be right up for this one and make that 7th spot ours and the extra cash that comes with it.
  24. Interesting Turnbull had 13 goals this season and Kent only has 6 Still as long as he is here next season that is all that matters
