I think Sunday is far from a free hit myself. We should be looking for a good start to the season and St Mirren are going to have a tough season. If we lose these winnable games we will go into the tougher ones under real pressure.

I think McCall would get absolutely slaughtered on here if we went on a poor run. Motherwell is not an easy gig these days.

I think we should be looking for better than McCall.

Oh well, we move on again. It will be interesting to see who’s going to be in the frame. As before I think the timing is poor but it is what it is.

This is not about Loyalty Yodo I’m simply stating my view on when I think it makes sense to sack a manager and when not. If you trust a manager after the last game of the season and allow him to sign new players. Why would you no longer trust him before a single league game has been played the following season ? However I do think loyalty is incredibly important in life in general and hope I show it to everyone I care about.

I’m surprised so many people are expecting him sacked today. I still think the time to do that was the end of last season, not giving someone the summer and allowing him to sign players only to then sack him before a ball had been kicked in anger in the league. For me you either get rid of a manager end of a season and if not they get a few league games. It’s not as though the form was good from December onwards.

I’m expecting to see St Mirren really struggle this season, a low scoring win for us.

I’m still of the opinion he will be given a few league games. Relegation would certainly cost the club more but without a game even being played yet, and given the fact they trusted him enough to keep in in the summer it would be some u turn. Relegation is never a certainly regardless of how often it’s stated, at this point it’s certainly not positive, but it’s not bottom two with two games to play either.

Which is why I don’t expect it to happen.

I’m not sure Dundee United or Hibs will do that well this season, I would not be surprised to see one of them struggling towards the bottom end of the division.

York city who I still pop in to see when down in Yorkshire for 45 years and Motherwell, is that ok with you ?

To be honest I show more support to Motherwell than I’ve ever seen from you. The only time you are ever happy is when we lose. You actually want rid of me because I’m positive.

I’ve asked this before but who thinks he’s wonderful ? I don’t know anyone that actually thinks that. People like myself look at his record and think fair enough he’s got credit in the bank but I’m certainly not a huge fan. He will move on at some point and I can’t say I would miss him that much, it will just be another man in the door that some will want out again 12 months later and so it will go on.

He won’t be anywhere near finished. If we lose the first half dozen league games then that’s a different matter.

Take it as it goes. Unless were bottom two I don’t expect anything to happen.
