  1. It’s no longer a conversation after today in my view Yodo, not that I thought there was a chance of him leaving anyway.
  2. Yep, he undoubtably has the technical ability to be playing at a bigger club, he’s with us because he’s weak in other areas. He is however the one player we have that can turn a game and signing an extension to his contract would be a huge bonus.
  3. Personally I’m not sure why this always seems to be an issue, it’s been shown that the club gives young players a chance IF they look to have the qualities needed, only a small minority coming through any club do make the grade.
  4. Yep we’ve certainly widened the field including looking at Scandinavia, it not the area that matters anyway it’s who you sign.
  5. Of course it’s always about more than one player. However saying that I firmly believe we would be top four if Watt had stayed, it’s been so close in many games and his abilities as mentioned above would no doubt have pushed one or two games in our favour and given how tight it is that’s all we needed. These things are always a gamble and you want a happy player but it worked against us this time.
  6. Were you actually a very positive supporter before Robinson Yodo ?
  7. It’s always about having a balanced view for me. There will always be a percentage of supporters at every club who scream for a change of manager, the board being kicked out every time things are not going well which of course is their right, history however shows too much upheaval rarely works. As you point out Alexander has taken the club from a poor position in the league, through covid, and given us a top six finish, and the quarter finals of the Scottish cup. He’s new to Scottish football, and he will now hopefully have learnt a little more about what’s needed for next season. I don’t enjoy the football that much but am under no illusion it’s unlikely to get better with another change of manager. I said a week or so ago I did not think we would win another game this season and my view remains the same. As “hope springs” states, no one is blindly backing him, I think just about everyone realises where we are and what we’ve seen this season, I personally have always trusted the board and they continue to have that trust. I again believe he will start next season as manager and then the big test for him begins. Is he the great pretender, or someone that will be a genuine asset to the club moving forward, we will see.
  8. Who did you hear from, someone reliable within the club ?
  9. I failed to see any rapport between both steelboy and Yodo with Robinson at any point if I’m being honest.
  10. I’m not even sure he has supporters, I’m just looking at the overall position for the season in the league and cup. I think that’s the case with the majority who feel he will get to start next season. I don’t particularly enjoy the football at the moment.
  11. That’s my take on it and in line with a comment in his post match interview, we made top six. In fairness to the board he picked up more points than any other manager out-with the old firm in the run up to signing a new contract, I don’t remember too many supporters complaining at the time. I’m very much on the fence regarding him as a manager and his style of football but would still question if that says more about the Scottish Premiership than individual managers given the vast majority of management changes have not being a success. Yes it means giving him the summer budget but sacking him and his playing staff won’t be cheap and looking at this season there is every chance his replacement will be no better or worse. I’ve honestly got no idea if there will be an impact on season ticket sales, they remained high under Robinson and is the football any worse under Alexander ? nothing in it for me.
  12. I guess none of us know what target he was set but I would be surprised if it was to finish higher than top six. I would doubt the level of entertainment was part of that target. Can’t see any justification to call for the board to go.
  13. The decision will have already been made when we finished in the top 6. I know people don’t like it but nothing has changed, he’s met his target for the season.
  14. It’s going to be Kelly surely.
  15. To be fair, you are very combative, not sure it always needs to be that way.
  16. Yodo it’s not even a debate, he’s going to get the summer to rebuild, no way is he getting sacked. I’m struggling to believe you or indeed any other supporter genuinely think he’s getting sacked at the end of this season regardless of what you think of him. Not sure what the odds are at the bookies but take a punt and make some cash if you think it’s going to happen.
  17. Well in fairness it is down to Alexander, he’s been our manager this season and signed many of the players. It’s impossible to say if we would have made top six with another manager in place.
  18. The summer is going to be critical, but then name a summer it was not the case. At this point the board don’t have a decision to make, he’s starting next season as manager and we go from there. I would like a few better quality players, question is can we afford their wages, and would they want to join us. None league players down south along with half decent championship players up here need not apply.
  19. I’m not convinced we should take him, I would be happy with a whole new back line for next season but know that’s not going to happen. Gallagher will be released by Aberdeen and he’s better than anything we have now alongside another capable centre half. I know I’m on my own with this one but we’ve literally not got a single player at the back I trust other than Kelly who on his own has got the lot of them out of trouble time and again.
  20. That’s my view on it, it was a pen on what I observed. Var would not have overturned that.
  21. The worry is obviously the amount of players we can’t release due to still being under contract (19 if I’m counting correctly). There is a good dozen there I would like to see leave, sadly it’s not going to happen. However it’s Alexander that signed a good few of them so he now has to find a way of making it work.
  22. At the moment I don’t see us winning another game this season, hope to be proven wrong.
  23. No, as much as I’ve not enjoyed the football he’s going nowhere based on finishing top six and the quarter finals of the cup. He’s met his target and then some.
  24. I’m certainly a happy clapper, up there with the best of them on here but you’ve really highlighted much of the issues that I have under Alexander. The problem is he signed many of the players on display today with many on long contracts and he’s going to need some summer to turn around most of the defence and midfield for starters. He will get to start next season but let’s not kid ourselves that 2022 has been anything other than a complete shit show. I’m willing to give him that chance because we actually ended up top six but the goodwill is going to evaporate pretty quickly if results and performances don’t improve. Alexander stated he wanted a smaller squad with better quality players on longer contracts, we need to now see that’s actually happened.
  25. I’m starting to move over to the theory that Alexander is not the man I’m afraid. I just don’t see any improvement, in fact we’re just going backwards. His signings on the whole are just not performing, we have the worst defence we’ve had in my time watching the club, midfield not much better. I can’t even say the football is entertaining because it’s not. We just look a complete shambles in truth. I can’t actually think of any positives at the moment.
