I think it could end up being pretty quite unless we are looking at last minute panic signings, I think we’ve held on for a number of players and its not panned out. I’d be surprised if anyone leaves.

Strange looking line up for me, I’m not even slightly optimistic I’m afraid.

I don’t have a problem with the statement. As others have said why can’t the club be successful in the community and on the field. I don’t believe one has a negative influence on the other and while everyone wants to finish as high as we can in the league there always has to be a level of realism, that does not mean being resigned to failure. The club is obviously now trying to go down a different route re signing players and I find that positive although it’s going to take time.

My feeling is he will struggle to hold down a starting spot. He left us with a lot of developing to do and I can’t believe he’s developed that much since.

It did, but the ending just sent it into space.

I think when it ends with “ plans to make him first choice” he’s blown it straight away.

No more from me either, I won’t be given any further donations to that excuse for a football pitch.

Never seen a decent game of football yet on that pitch, I fear this will just as dreadful.

It’s very early days for many, Conner Shields has only just started getting minutes. Personally I think we will have a better idea after a dozen or so games given there are so many new players.

I think it’s midfield and defence. Kelly is a very decent goalkeeper and I think we’re only short of a centre half. Midfield however is extremely weak and that’s putting a lot of pressure on the back line. I’m baffled why Crawford was given an extension and McGuire still has a way to go, we’re two decent midfielders short.

I think the vision I had for this season was better quality on longer contracts in order to try and build something and that looked to be starting to happen. I think it’s too early to really judge if many of the new signings are gems or not.

I think we are always going to go with a couple of fairly cheap long shots.

Sadly the poor start to the season I could see coming. That’s a very disappointed result against one of the relegation favourites. I think we all know we need strengthening and fast if we want to turn things around, the midfield has to be about the weakest in the whole division and that’s a bit of a worry.

Watching the highlights which to be fair does not always show the bigger picture the defence still needs a good amount of work, we were all over the place at times.

Alexander did say that’s the best he’d ever him play last week.

Yep, as always when a new manager is building a team it needs time.

Sadly the start to the season was very predictable, we’re well behind where we would like to be with signings not yet completed. A third of the team have very little game time with the new centre half not even ready to start. Donnelly, Slattery, Shields, Van veen probably need another two or three weeks for starters. I just wonder how many potential signings we held out for that went elsewhere.

Ojala still not ready then, shields in for watt is a bit of a surprise.

Yes that’s my view, he’s strengthened the spine over the last couple of weeks which was needed but we are still not quite there.

It will take time, we’re not even finished building the squad yet. We were far better last Sunday than I thought we possibly could be at this stage given the turnover and players lacking game time.

We can only go on what he did while with us last time, and he was excellent.

I have to say Maguire has taken a real step forward in the last 12 months. I was of the opinion he was not going to make it at the top level, I’m now not so sure.

I’m happy with Carroll but I know he splits opinion, bring in another centre half and we’re sorted at the back in my view, neither Lamie or Mugabi are long term options for me.

I think he’s going to end up one of the best signings in recent years. It took about 5 minutes to recognise his qualities.
