  1. Och chill oot Like me, we were Well fans before people here were born.
  2. Neil McCann ain't a manager - who gives a fuck what he knows
  3. I reckon a good few of the midfielders are not in the first team plans for next year. Lasley certainly isn't - Robinson has made it clear that the one year contract extension clause "was agreed before he became manager." I also reckon that a couple of youngsters will be loaned out next season, so if I'm right, with the addition of one more midfielder ( making it ten total by my reckoning ) and with three being out of the first team picture that will leave us with seven first team midfielders, which is about right. So any notion of a glut is on paper only. Re Lasley, I reckon he's hedging his bets. He has done the wise thing by activating the one year extension to guarantee his has a wage coming in next year - he would have been foolish not to have activated that. Now he can spend the summer looking for management opportunities, whether it's within the club or elsewhere.
  4. Post official club updates from Youtube here
  5. Robinson mentioned the contract extension during his excellent interview yesterday.
  6. Two of the last three seasons have been painful, and if it weren't for the McGhee inspired run last season that would have been painful too. My goal for the club has been the same every season for decades. Finish fourth. It's not often we overachieve in that regard and when we do it's exceptional. I reckon we could manage fourth this year. Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen look to be in a league of their own, but Aberdeen may be dragged back into the fray due to the mount of players they have lost, I can't see Cathro doing anything with Hearts. I reckon Hibs will be flakey. So that kinda leaves St Johnstone as the team to beat to get to fourth place. No disrespect to the other teams, it is always possible that one of them will have a belter/fluke of a season. So fourth place would be magic, Mr Robinson - top six perfectly acceptable to say the least. And do us a favour, give us the joy of beating both of the Bigot Brothers at least once next season. What's your goal for the club next season?
  7. Give it a rest Away stalking a player's Dad ffs
  8. Club announcement - McEwan Fraser Legal http://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2017/06/06/club-announce-new-main-sponsor/ I like the look of this - It will use the rights available via the sponsorship to create unique campaigns, featuring many ideas which have never been seen before in Scottish football. Last season, McEwan Fraser Legal campaigns with existing clubs included #HomeRun, where players personally delivered the new home kit to supporters’ homes; #HomeAlone at which former players joined supporters who couldn’t make a big away game for a night in front of the box; and #HomeAdvantage which created memorable experiences for all those involved, not least double amputee Tommy McKay who stunned Scottish football with his 40-yard wonder strike!
  9. Fuss is a bit strong, only a preference for signing guys who know what they are doing in our league. Wouldn't be a bad plan considering the amount of newbies we seem to be signing.
  10. We're a Scottish club and I can't believe we can't dig up some decent prospects from the Scottish game. We could be doing with a couple of twenty-something experienced Scottish premiership players. ................................... Another problem we are looking at is churn rate, you'd be looking at selling or disposing of just about every name you listed next year - and off we go on another giant rebuild job. The Great Rebuild thread is going to become an annual event.
  11. It would be nice if we signed a Scottish player.
  12. Fair point - if the club announced the signing of Billy McKay the forum would be delighted. Except for those that don't like being happy about anything.
  13. Contract extension for Carl McHugh please. That would be an outstanding bit of business.
  14. The society should tell the club to budget better. If the club comes back for a cash top up again this year the professional board should be read the riot act. As far as I know, the goal of the society is to raise £1.5 million as a reserve fund for any future financial crisis ( ie relegation ). I've seen a couple of murmurings that the society now thinks its role is to assist in funding the club "because we are the owners now." Nope - that's the road to ruin.
  15. We need journeymen. This guy has shown he's capable at SPL level. ............. Interesting to see McGhee's signing record from last summer. McHugh has been a success, I reckon Heneghan has too - I feel that a general malaise on the team affected him and Cadden. Tait did well too, I reckon he has been underestimated and was missed in the latter part of the season. Blyth and Lucas were a bust. Clay and Bowman - jury's out, though I think some of you have condemned them to the gallows already. So lets say that's 3/7 success rate. That's not bad.
  16. Oh look, it's the Sanctimonious Ladyboy. How it must pain you to read this forum. But you can't resist. How delicious.
  17. The club should install self-service pumps. One member of staff could supervise several people pouring at the same time. http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/ipub-welcome-britains-first-self-service-7933573
  18. Is that a permanent move for O'Halloran or a loan deal?
