  1. The right guy for us on so many levels is Scott Leitch. I've known him for 38 years. There's a touch of the Tommy McLean bastardo within him. Which is exactly what we need.
  2. What's the odds on us winning on Saturday? Straight win odds and 1-3 Can't access Ladbrokes cos they are banned in the country I'm in
  3. Apprenticeship levy to be laid against clubs with a payroll over £3 million - will hit Celtic, Rangers and others in Scottish football, not Motherwell. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/2017/03/06/premier-league-clubs-charged-95-million-apprenticeship-levy/
  4. Biggest crowd I saw at Fir Park was v St Mirren, 1977.........26,000. Now 6,000 is cause for celebration.
  5. Oh sorry, didn't know you were up for a troll war. And in my defence I was in a bad mood as I crashed my motorcycle drunk twice on Saturday night. Anyway, as I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted, good to see Bowman come on to a game. Are you happy about that too, Superward? And try to resist derailing the thread again.
  6. And what's your point? I was at games in February and I'll be back end March for the run in. Just like anyone else I can see highlights and stream full games overseas. Oh, and I pay my sub to The Well Society. Are you getting to be that petty wee internet stalker we all read about? Cannae wait to see a post from me so you can try to score a pitiful point to make your pitiful wee life feel better? Just askin'
  7. SFA source laughed at the notion of Hamilton trumping Motherwell in terms of Project Brave. What he did say was that Motherwell have a "loner," attitude to development. He has helped just about every club in Scotland except Motherwell. He mentioned that there is funding available to have players sent overseas on loan via the football education trust. He bit at the idea that our under 20's should be out at summer football clubs, and reappearing at Fir Park in November/December. Said it was easy to arrange and any manager would be pleased to see fit, newly experienced young players appear on his training ground mid-season. The only cost to the club would be the flights and hotel cost to monitor our players overseas. Said the best way to do it would be to arrange the funding a season in advance, and apply every year for additional funding. ................ Side note - he mentioned that the primary role of development squads is to prepare players for a career in professional football. He said that the Old Firm get a lot of stick for not bringing players to their first team, but pointed out how many former Old Firm youth get a career elsewhere. To that end - he said consider every player developed by Motherwell who has a career in professional football as a credit to the clubs development programme. No matter who they play for, and no matter what level. He said these days becoming a first team regular for the club is a welcome bonus due to the amount of predatory clubs snapping up promising youngsters from academies. It would be interesting to see a list of professional players developed by Motherwell. Links - http://www.lfe.org.uk/ Education trust Erasmus programme http://www.lfe.org.uk/erasmusplus
  8. No, I'm still overseas on the world's longest ever taxi hire. Thanks for asking.
  9. Good to see Bowman causing problems. The club should offer him a contract extension now, before we lose him free next season. Guys like him and Frear need a professional pre-season.
  10. We have a defence? They kept that one quiet.

    Boycott ?

    Excellent post.
  12. Find out for yourself you lazy bastard http://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/article/27712/TaxiPrivate-hire-licences
  13. Aye, millionaires on the dole always take the first job offered to them. Of course they do.
  14. Hence why I said variation of the model. Someone has to take responsibility for the squad development. I'd be happy to see Flow, Leitch and A.N. Other take on a type of Liverpool transfer committee role. You've seen me moan often enough about the decision to award eight playing contracts to guys aged thirty-two plus. A staggering decision in the modern game. I don't want the club to bully or impose players on managers. Equally I don't want managers having a free reign on the football side. Those days are long gone, due to clubs being saddled with woeful squads such as ours.
  15. No opinion to the new manager. Can we have a new club policy of the CEO actually giving a fuck who is signed for the club? According to reports, "McGhee had full control over the football side of the club." Look at the squad he left behind and weep. We should maybe be looking at a form of Director of Football plus coach. While not a perfect model, better than rolling everything on the ridiculous decisions of one man.
  16. No I don't agree. You clearly don't like admitting you are wrong.
  17. Har har. Fliw is the problem as much as McGhee
  18. I suggest a dual sacking.
  19. Does that translate into - "CMWellfan has been right all year." If it does, I agree.
  20. Found out? What took you? Fucking disgrace. Part time arrogant wank manager and geriatric squad. Get Burrows and McGhee to fuck. What an embarrassment.
  21. Oh be quiet. We are talking about sixes and sevens against Hearts and Aberdeen, never mind Celtic. Enough with the apologist crap.
  22. Amazing they can make a statement about a red card but not the Robbie Leitch transfer income.
