Care to explain what this is to the fair weather supporters like myself?
The Erasmus programme is a grant for youth development. Literally, free money for youth development. I linked to the programme and explained the set up a few pages back.
In the recent past, £1.8 million a season was pumped into Scottish clubs via Erasmus.
My contact has said he is pretty sure, but not certain, that MFC did not apply for the grant. I would like confirmation that the club did, and if not, why not.
...... and two hunner and ninty posts of pish from you.
Theres a wee arrow on the index page that takes you to any new posts since your last visit, but since you are an internet gatekeeper with intricate knowledge of such things no need to school you.
I'm in Scotland. I'll meet you at the game on Saturday and we can discuss this further. I'm always interested to meet trolls in person. PM me to make arrangements.
You weren't ignored the first time. The that lots of different threads haven't cropped up suggest that folk are happy enough that all Well Society posts are generally all together in the one thread regardless of whatever stage of the process we've been at.
My second point also stands - ninety pages of zombie arguments about whether or not we should support The Well Society now render this thread unfit for purpose.
It should have been locked on the day we took over ownership of the club, and a new thread started.

Wake up, Andy.
We have been offered a deal by Les Hutchison to match the money we raise this year.
We don't have a thread dedicated to that offer, which is rank stupidity.
So do the right thing and start that thread - encourage supporters to have fund raising nights etc so that we can reduce the debt by as much as possible this year.
Like most of Steelboy's posts, along with 'millionaire globe trotting taxi magnate', I'm not sure whether to feel bemused or wonder WTF goes on in their heads.
Ask the mods to track my IP record you insignificant little weasel.
And try sticking to the topic rather than letting your small-minded jealousy spew all over the screen.
On a related note with coaching - there seems to be a meme that coaching roles at Motherwell are some kind of pension scheme for long-serving players. Even Robinson alluded to giving roles to veterans in a recent interview.
Give it a rest.
There should be a ban on players moving direct to coaching at Fir Park. If the club wants to play the Santa Claus routine, find the funds to send these anointed sons out for a year to clubs like Barca, Ajax etc.
In fact, go do a deal with a Norwegian second division club. We'll send them a coach and three development players free of charge.
The coach can act as our Scandinavian scout too. Try using a wee bit of imagination, Motherwell.
Typical reaction from the Halfwit Brigde, Motherwell Supporters Club.
Go check the Erasmus link on that thread. Free funding to send our development players overseas.

It was of course that excellent passing performance and the manner in which Lambert ran the show that got him his big FREE move to Dortmund. Within was it 2 yrs (?) he was a champions league winner!!!
That was the quality of our team. The likes of we're unlikely to see again.
Pretty sure he was only with Dortmund for one season. He went a good player and came back world class in my opinion.
To me it showed what an insightful coach could do. It's also why I want to see our youth players being sent out on the Erasmus programme ( details on under 20's topic ). Watching Lambert at Fir Park, I would never thought of him as the superb holding midfielder Dortmund made him into.
PS - 3.00 pm kick off on a Wednesday afternoon to suit German TV? Remember that? And I think they paid us half a million pounds to agree to that kick off time.
I remember we lost a midweeker in Perth in 93'94 (they really had the measure of us that season with 3 wins which was all the more painful given I think they eventually went down) but my recollection was that Burley had only just returned to Motherwell as a player coach not long after being given the bullet by Ayr.
He moved on before McLeish arrived in 1994. I can't mind if McLeish played against the Bankies in the League Cup at Fir Park but that was certainly one of, if not his first matches in charge. Again I can't remember if that came before or after the Havnar UEFA Cup game but it's entirely possible he made an appearance that evening. I do recollect it was nice to see Davie Cooper back at Fir Park that same evening.
Anyway apologies for a few posts of mine that have taken the thread off topic.
Aye sorry, drunk in Bangkok last night. Shouldn't post when inebriated.
I think the match I'm referring to was Feb/March 94? If we had won that night we would have gone top of the league.
Re McLeish, he played for us a few times pre or early season then packed in. Was that 94/95? I suppose I should Google it, memory is fading.
Around the same time as the St Johnstone away game, we played the first match under the Fergus Era at Celtic Park.
Pretty sure we took 4,000 fans that day, and I was shocked to see the total attendance was only 36,000. The so-called "best fans in the world," abandoned Celtic when they were a losing team.
Arnott scored first half, we won 1-0, beating a Macari team. One memory of that day was a double Celtic substitution when he brought on the midget pair Simon Donnelly and Brian McLaughlin? Looked like a couple of weans coming on the pitch.
Aye, the days when we held a hex over Celtic. Long gone.
Remember that I think the cooper stand was being built so it was literally a building site behind that goal. Crowd was just over 5000 for a title chasing team!!. Now I could well be wrong here but did Andy Roddie not miss a chance to put us 2 up before Brewster scored and if that was the case it would have been McLeish's first season. (but more or less McLeans team)...feel free to correct as my memory aint what it used to be!
Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
How about the 1-2 defeat to St Johnstone with George Burley omitted from the team? Billy Dodds was in some form that night.
I remember McLeish playing for us pre-season and cramping up.
I find it hard to believe that there aren't any teak hard centre halves playing non-league.
Part of our development strategy next year has to be getting our near first team prospects out on loan. The under 20 league is becoming farcical. Way too many school kids playing, sixteen years olds and the like.
First - contract extensions for Moult, Bowman, McHugh and Heneghan. Let's not lose these guys for nothing in January 2018 when they can sign pre-contracts.
I expect another couple of non-league players this summer. Johnson, Moult, Bowman and Frear are showing the value of fishing in that pool.
What we are lacking are the 6/10 Scottish performers which are the backbone of St Johnstone, Particky and others. Guys in their mid twenties that churn out consistent performances.
We are unbalanced, with too many kids, veterans and newbies in the squad.
Do we even have a Scottish player under 30 with a few years premier league experience? I think not
McDonald and Moult to dig us out. I would even consider resting both of them against Rangers. Let Bowman play up front as lone striker.
If either McDonald or Moult, or god forbid both of them, come off that Ibrox pitch injured, it's time for a collective whitey.
It's also getting to the stage we need to consider a 30 day contract for a couple of defenders. I hope the club are poring over the unattached players list.
Even if McManus steps on the pitch again this season, he's unlikely to be match fit. And rushing Tait back gives me the fear.
I ain't a Samson fan, worst keeper i have seen since John Gardiner but all the sarcastic clapping is hardly going to help the guy. I also don't get all the negativity about Clay, isn't the best but IMO I don't think he is that bad. If we can stay up then massive rebuilding is required. McGhee's signing record is shocking....Baraclough had a better record with his signings
Tait, McHugh, Heneghan, Bowman, Clay and Frear have been shocking?
I reckon McGhee's transfer signing record will come good.
He'll never get over giving eight contracts to guys in their thirties that collectively, delivered next to nothing.
The Directors, in consultation with the manager set the overall playing budget. How that money is spent is the responsibility of the manager
Tell that to Peter Lawell.
He'd laugh in your face.
Celtic managers have worked within the clubs tight ethos for years, instructed by the board and supervised by Lawell. And they have made a fortune from it.
In my opinion the people who gave Robinson the nod are responsible. However, this is football and there are other factors involved. Players are the main one as the board and manager can do very little about individual errors on the park. Although, somebody needs to be held accountable if we are relegated. Who falls on their sword? The manager? The board? The players? The easy option is the manager.
Who was it on here that said the Well Society was told that the manager ( McGhee ) was in full control of the football side of the club?
Is that true? Did it really happen?
Who the fuck in their right mind thought it was a cracking plan to give playing contracts to eight players aged 32 plus?
This is lunacy. It's down to the board and Burrows.
I don't expect the board or Burrows to puck the team, but the notion that any club would gamble their future on a short term management appointment ( as they have been since McLean ) is MENTAL.
Good luck to Robbo, by fuck he'll need it with some of those players and our club structure.
Looking forward to all those stay away fans coming back on Saturday.
The club statement confirms that we are ran by committee; a board governed by an exec board and the well society. It appears we've turned the clock back 40 years, which is quite an achievement.
For all that CMWellfan can be a bit of a dick, he's right about the structure and those in charge. Amateurish would be an improvement.
There's a "wtf," moment awaiting many members of this forum, not all. There's plenty here that know I'm telling the truth.
.............
Robinson? It would be an act of self-delusion if anyone thought for one minute he was the best candidate for the job.
Who here posted, "sack McGhee, bring back Robinson."
No one.
But now we have him and he has my support. I like the idea of him being our George Graham - "1-0 to the Motherwell," would be a great new chant. We can't outplay teams like Celtic, so lets choke the bastards to death.
