  1. I think in Mo Ross's defence, if he needs any, regarding results, he had a very young squad. Most of them were only 16 or 17.

Quite happy with Alexander appointment, based purely on the Salford documentary and him being a relatively unknown for us. Someone over on p&b said his pal was a Coventry fan and Alexander's teams were always hard to beat, he will also sign bas****s. Good enough for me.

In all seriousness the club need to do something about constant leaks. It is a red neck that it is being reported as a done deal on Sky, BBC, Sun and Rancid before an official announcement.

Is it? Does it really matter at the end of the day. Suppose it would be preferable to hear it from the club first hand but that's social media and the internet for you. Most things are common knowledge before being announced.

Interested to hear why Kmac is so sure that this appointment will be a failure?

TBH that gives me the fear, we need a fresh input rather than a reboot of the previous regime, Wrights style at St J was brutal at times, yes he made them hard to beat and may be what we need to keep us up right now, but we need stability and a manager in who can bring new ideas etc to rebuild the squad, past this

I'd put Wright's hard to beat style and stability in the same category so from that point of view great, I think Wright would have Las do things his way as opposed to vice versa. He has plenty of experience so although i wouldnt be a massive fan of it, i dont think it would be the end of the world.

Id hate to see Las out on the scrap pile.

    Catch 22.

  4. it's paper talk, everything is paper talk, the guy has spoke nothing about good things since he joined the club, he doesn't owe us anything as such, it's a deal that has worked very well for both parties, he's not far away from his thirties, his stock is as high as it's ever been, he probably has one more big move in him before that stock quickly depreciates, a move that could set him for life financially. Surely we should all know by now that slurs like that from these papers should be taken with a huge pinch of salt.

  5. Someone mentioned on twitter that Tommy wright was pretty negative about the club during the coleraine game. I dont remember the commentary as such however they also mentioned Tony Watt, Tony Watt has been the only real stand out this season. Technically he is levels above anyone else at the club, hopefully Tommy Wright doesn't set him back again if he was to get the job.

Was McCall not reportedly to have been on over £200K when with us, so given that was a few years ago, I’d suspect we could offer someone £250K.
maybe a bit left field but what about offering one of the guys mentioned a contract until the end of the e season?

Gives them 6 months work and a chance to prove themselves to  potential employers.

Pay someone a shed load of money for 5 months to put themselves in the shop window come the summer and put us back to square one? No thanks.

tbh any young Scottish player who opted to stay in Scotland over the chance to ply his trade down south is in serious need of psychiatric help. Said it when Turnbull went to Celtic and haven’t changed my mind.

Only worry I would have with Campbell in the Championship is he would be up against some absolute giants and Im not sure he has the physique to compete at that level. Would love to be proved wrong though.

Dont want to lose him though as we’re going to need every decent player we’ve got in the next few weeks.

Nine times out of ten, id agree with you. I do think Turnbull is an exception to that, i can see why he has went there, other than Norwich, there was no great interest in him from down south that we were aware of.  Moving to celtic, winning trophies and playing in europe (not that they do it that often) is much more appealing than going between the championship and fighting relegation in the prem. You'd think his next move could be a much more established prem side.

  8. Honesty don't think that was as bad as some are suggesting. Aberdeen had more of the ball but other than in the first ten minutes I don't recall being under any real pressure. Archer made a good save from johnny hayes free kick but I can't remember another save of note.

We also had probably the best chance of the game with polworth.

Defensive looked fairly comfortable, we prevented Ferguson and Mccrorie dominating the game.

    Not a bad point.

  9. The comment's on the facebook are ridiculous, What has buying a season ticket got to do with cup games? Club guaranteed 19 games in fir park live, i'm sure they were hoping fans would be back in the ground sooner rather than later but they will stand by that, some fans will of course claim that, some won't which is perfectly fine. Why would anyone be entitled to this cup game for free? if you want to watch, pay £12, if you don't, stick to the twitter feed and watch the highlights later on.

Season tickets were purchased knowing fine well that you might not be in fir park all season, now it's being used against the club for the sake of £12.

  10. The game was 2-1  with 14 minutes to go, so we weren't as out of it as some are suggesting, maybe go as far to say that we were the better team in the second half?  once we got that goal we should have tried to keep it tight til at least the 80th minute and then went for it, as it happens, we never lasted that long, The scoreline suggested a thumping but it was far from it, Celtic were clinical, as they often are. 5 proper chances, took 4 of them. Maybe there was some naivety on our part that we thought we could have got an equaliser and went for it too early.  Some silly mistakes cost us, Polworth playing that pass when it was definitely not on. Maybe that is why teams like Livingston or Killie get some success, they won't try those passes, rightly or wrongly that is put out for a shy, lumped up the park.

Going forward, we looked dangerous, we created some decent chances, and against Celtic you need to take them.

Also Devante cole's challenge has went relatively under the radar, we should have been down to 10....not sure how  any of the officials missed it.

I said before the game drop a striker and put Grimshaw in midfield.

Playing same team we picked v Ross C and Livingston was not very clever.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but to give Celtic a free run down the flanks is awful tactics.

I am a fan of Robinson but he got carried away today.

I'd normally agree but this team were there to be got at today, if we didnt have a go at them the same folk would be saying we should have. As frustrating as it is, these games never have or never will define our season. This is a Celtic team full of ten million pound players capable of turning it on at any moment.

    Embarrassing from Lang there.

We're still in the game here, playing reasonably well going forward. Far too much space for Frimpong though, McGinley needs to get out to him quicker or Polworth has to step out and help him faster.

    Ahh fuck off. Game over.

When you say embarrassing from Lang, i assume you are referring to what you to perceive to ne a dive? If so, that's very harsh. He was already off balance and his heel nicks off brown whilst running. Its It's definitely not embarrasing thiugh surely?

  13. After last nights result, i've been torn between whether or not it's a good time to play them or a bad time, will we get the backlash from last nights result? i'm swaying towards good time, the confidence in that  squad must be absolutely shot right now, they cannot afford to lose again, Lennon can't afford to lose again, huge pressure. The first goal is massive, and we have to get it.

I reckon there will be a few changes to the celtic team, wouldn't be surprised to see Griffiths or Turnbull start, importantly though, they don't have the personnel to change the defence too much and we have the players to hurt them, I hope we are set out to get right on top of them because they will make mistakes, we just need to punish them.

a whole load of if's but's and maybe's but we can get something from this.
